After opening the door, without any greeting, we were told "you're looking for the salon down the street not here." We responded we have an appointment here. The lady continued to insist that it wasn't there it was down the street. We insisted we had an appointment card for this location but she insisted it wasn't here nor do they take walk ins. I insisted it wasn't a walking in as we tried to look for the appointment card. But the lady left her client came to the door, opened it and pointed us out towards the direction of the salon she was referring to. I became furious because it automatically hit me, it didn't matter if we had an appointment or not they didn't want us there. I let them know it's called being racist, found the appointment card and left it with them. Apparently without the friend our business wasn't welcomed and neither were we.

She was complaining to me the whole time while she was massaging me and I added a scalp massage with eucalyptus oil and i kid you not, I think she just poured that oil on my hair and just touched my hair to say she did the scalp massage, it was so bad that I have to tell the front to put note on my profile to not have Marie be my masseuse. But honestly, it felt like the complete opposite of shaving -- instead of scraping and roughing up the skin, the masks and gentle scrubs smoothed everything out. My skin felt clean, soft, and refreshed in a way I didn't even realize I needed. The head spa was a whole experience on its own. They started with a slow, relaxing head massage, then shampooed and washed my hair with such care it almost put me to sleep. They applied a scrub mask afterward to clear out any dead skin -- it felt incredibly refreshing. One of the coolest parts was the halo ring they use -- it gently sprays water over your scalp in a way that's so calming it's hard to describe until you've felt it. The atmosphere of the whole room tied everything together.
