Amy was able to schedule me in at the last minute. Next day I was 80% better and the second day I was 100% better. I plan to return!

If you are needing a deep, DEEP tissue massage, then I cannot recommend Ruby high enough. She is…read moreexceptionally talented at finding stubborn tension and working those tough knots completely out so you leave feeling so much better. Before she starts, she takes the time to ask about your specific trouble spots and problem areas so she can tailor the session entirely to what you need. Just a warning, though: DO NOT go see her if you are looking for a relaxing, gentle, spa-style massage, because that is simply NOT what she does. She means business. You will likely leave there feeling a bit sore afterward, but finally getting all of those painful knots worked out is an incredible feeling of relief.

If you are wanting a soothing, relaxing massage, this is not the place for you. If you have a low…read morepain tolerance like me, or honestly even if it's high, you'll probably be withering in pain but the good kind. I workout and historically I'm bad at stretching which leads to tight muscles. I also hold stress in my neck/shoulders and have lower back pain. Without me even having to state any of this, Ruby was able to tell this herself. She loosened up YEARS worth of tension and shared how certain parts of the body were connected to others and that's why I was experiencing pain/tightness in those areas. I was definitely sore for several days afterwards, but I also felt looser and lighter than I have before - even after other massages I've had at other places. Ruby is no nonsense and tells it like it is - and that's exactly what I need and what I was looking for. This is my second massage with Ruby, with my third one already booked and I convinced my sister to book one as well. Reservations: Marietta Massage does not take walk-ins. You have to call (not able to book online) to make an appointment. Parking: Marietta Massage has 2 dedicated parking spots (92, 93) in the paid lot right next to their building. It's free to park there during your appointment so don't pay at the meter!

Extremely Unprofessional and Painful Experience…read more This was honestly one of the worst massage experiences I have ever had. I left feeling like I had been hurt rather than helped, and my body actually hurts more today than it did before the massage yesterday. I specifically told the therapist that I am a cancer survivor with lymphedema and that I was experiencing significant pain in my neck and shoulder. A professional massage therapist should take a medical history seriously and understand how certain conditions can affect the type of massage and pressure that is appropriate. Instead, there was no oil used during the massage, and his hands were extremely rough. He was pinching and plucking at my back, and I was saying "ouch" throughout the entire massage. About halfway through, he leaned down and whispered that there was a "special oil" available for an additional $20. I later learned that what I was given was supposedly CBD oil, and it smelled strongly like Biofreeze. The experience became even more concerning. He put extremely hot towels on my back, hot enough that I felt like I was being scalded. He felt my feet and said I was cold, rather than handling that professionally, he plugged in a blow dryer and began blowing hot air all over my body. He also used significant pressure points on my skull, and my head now feels bruised and sore. I honestly question whether this person had any professional massage training whatsoever. The entire experience felt extremely unprofessional and, frankly, unsafe. Someone with a medical condition could potentially be seriously injured by this kind of treatment. A professional massage therapist should ask about medical history, listen when a client says something hurts, adjust their technique appropriately, and never continue using painful or potentially harmful pressure. I will never return to this establishment, and I strongly recommend that others be very cautious before booking a massage here. If you have any medical conditions, I would be especially careful and make sure you understand exactly who will be performing your massage and what their qualifications are. This was not a relaxing or therapeutic experience. It was painful, uncomfortable, and completely unprofessional. I contemplated leaving mid-way, I regret now I didn't.

Unfortunately I did not enjoy me experience. I came in on a Thursday as a walk in at 12 noon. There…read morewas no wait so I was attended to right away. I got the 60 minute foot massage with head to toe (chair massage). For the foot massage they started with a 2 minute foot soak with only water which I found surprising since all other reflexology places I've been to always use soap water. For the massage they use those blue latex gloves so it takes away from the experience which I did not like. Felt very dry despite the lotion being used. I originally had a lady and her pressure was very weak and I think she was doing her best but she was older so not sure she could really give deep pressure. A man arrived about 15 minutes into my massage and they switched out which was great because he had much more pressure. However, did not help because the gloves they use cause a dry feeling. After the foot massage I moved on to the chair and that was HORRIBLE! He did not use gloves with the chair massage but her also did not use lotion so once again a very dry dull experience. Lastly when I went to check out the man told me the machine was down and if I could pay cash. I told him the lady did not tell me that when I checked in. He asked if I could leave them my credit card information on a piece of paper (HECK NO)! That's literally insane to ask someone that and also who is crazy enough to leave credit card information on a paper. Once I told him I was uncomfortable doing that, all of a sudden the machine magically started working. There are many other places so I don't suggest coming and I won't be back. The staff was nice and who knows maybe I just got unlucky that day. Either way I will not be back.

Like most folks these days - I've been stressed and worried. So I decided to treat myself to a…read moremassage. This place is close to my home and I was in the plaza running errands - so it seemed like a good choice. Unfortunately - I have to give this place 2 stars - and that's actually being kind of generous. When I arrived, an Asian gentleman was actually exiting a suite a few doors down and he was accompanied by two little children. He was carrying what looked like a bucket or a caddy and a drill, so imagine my surprise when I realized he walked in behind me and it turns out he was the receptionist and the masseuse. Some things to know: 1) the receptionist / masseuse is male - there are no female staff members available 2) the receptionist / masseuse speaks little to no English. So communicating your massage needs will be extremely challenging. During much of my massage - I could not understand whether he was saying "Hurt?" or "Hard?" and he could not understand me when I said "that hurts" or "too hard". So when I was trying to tell him he was hurting my coccyx - he actually seemed to think I wanted him to press harder. I finally got him to understand by physically touching his hands and moving them away from the area. But then - he seemed to think I wanted no pressure for the rest of the massage. 3) I know this may be an odd thing to mention - but there is no liquid soap in the restroom. They use bar soap which I have never seen in a business restroom and I thought there was some sort of rule against this for business establishments. 4) Speaking off - when I undressed for the massage, he didn't go wash his hands before. And keep in mind, I'd just seen this man carrying power tools. I'm sure he used the hand sanitizer at the front desk, but I could hear him outside in reception talking to the little children while I was undressing and at no point did he walk down the hall and use the restroom. I knew where it was because I used the restroom before my massage. 5) At first - I could hear the kids in the reception area, talking but once the music came on - it drowned them out. The music was quite a bit louder than you'd typically experience during a massage. I don't know if it was deliberate - to drown out noise from reception and the other suites - but once again - there was no way for me to communicate this to masseuse. The gentleman seemed friendly. And the prices are on par with what you'd expect for this type of place. But the soap thing - coupled with the inability to request a female masseuse and the language barrier issue - means I won't be back.
