I was visiting from out of town and was lucky enough to select Shera from a surprisingly numerous list of spas/masseuses in the area. If your interest is in a great massage, I can honestly tell you that Shera gave me the best massage I've ever had (and I have had countless massages from a myriad of spas and providers). Don't get me wrong, I've had wonderful massages in the past. But what separated Shera from the crowd was her ability to find pain sources and apply the precise amount of pressure, AND she massaged places that nobody else ever has. I'd feel badly if I said exactly where, because I don't want to give away her "trade secrets". I don't want to oversell, and perhaps already have; sorry about that. OUTSTANDING! Look, there are TONSSSS of Massage Therapists in this town, and I have been to a LOT of them. But I wasn't happy with any of them lately (my good one moved). So I tried Shera. She is AWESOME. And I am super picky about massages. I've had a lot of surgeries, have all kinds of weird stuff going on with my bod- and SHE MADE ME FEEL FABULOUS! Where do I start? I was sore n stiff and her expert hands worked out the kinks! My mom referred me to her and I enjoyed the extra touches such as heated blanket on the table, convenient location, and paying attention to areas that I mentioned (some other therapists don't!) Shera's years of experience were evident as she knew exactly where to apply more/less pressure etc. Although I'll be back to her for a nice, "feel good" massage, this one was a hard core "get my neck & back to stop hurting" type, and well worth the $ I'll defiitely be going back as much as I can afford. I was steered to Shera based on her prior reviews and exceptional recommendations, but even then I left feeling amazed at how much better the massage was than ANY of the dozens of MTs I've encountered previously. She strikes a perfect balance between getting truly deep tissue work done but not making it unbearable; I am more relaxed and comfortable now than I have felt in literally years. Soft hands applying perfect pressure, intuitively. Her warm heart gives me space to be vulnerable, open, to be held, to breathe, and to align with her healing. I have taken massage from her for several years, and from many, many other practitioners (since being a child in 1974). Shera was returned my phone call quickly and was able to get me in the same day. I was in much pain and got immediate relief! My 60 minute massage was very thorough and relaxing. Shera found many different sources of pain and applied just the right pressure, varying the pressure according to my tightness. I think the other reviewers use of the word "intuitive" is very accurate, Shera is that. She responds well to change in pressure requests, as I have some spots that require light pressure and others that require deep pressure. She has a lovely soul and you leave there feeling relaxed and energized on a deeper level. I really did feel that my mind was relaxed too when I left. Sometimes it's hard to trust reviews online (I've been taken for a fool before!)--but the reviews about Shera are spot on! She's fantastic at what she does! She gets to work on your problem area(s) and gives you tools to keep your body 'tuned up' at home, which is essential for well-being! This is my local fav for massage. Shera the owner is very experienced, using techniques others don't offer. Small but very clean and relaxing atmosphere that sends you to the "zone" right away.
