Professional massage, reasonable priced. I have visited twice and I would recommend to anyone to stop by and visit this business, great massage, way better than average and nice people. Thank you ! read more

I found Shera on Yelp and booked a session based upon all the 5 star reviews. And they were right. In a word, Shera is phenomenal. It was my first time seeing her and she took the time to really understand what was bothering me. She was engaging, inquisitive, and genuinely concerned about the treatment. All with a great sense of humor. Not only did she address the problem areas I told her about but she found some other spots and worked her magic on them. I can honestly say this was the best massage I've ever had - and I've been getting them for years. Book a session as soon as possible - your body will thank you. Now if only she would relocate to Seattle... read more

Gabe was great, highly recommend! I get massages frequently and Gabe is excellent!

We came here for a couples massage on our honeymoon, per the great reviews. We were not disappointed! The two women were incredibly professional and made us feel safe with their precautions. We filled out a form regarding areas to avoid, specific target areas needed, and they explained all extras to us in detail. The massages were the best massages of our lives! These women are phenomenal at their trade and we would go back in a heartbeat next time we are in town. Thank you! read more

I have had two 90 min massages within 3 days and have another 60 minute massage scheduled for this coming monday. I guess that says alot about what I think of her skills. I went to her in conjunction with having acupuncture treatments for sciatic nerve pain affecting my lower back and right leg. She is very informative and thorough.. you will get a very professional treatment by a very skilled provider. After the first massage I was only marginally better immediately but by the second day I realized that I was able to move without as much pain.. (20-30%) After the second massage almost immediate improvement. .another 20-30%. I will be getting a second acupuncture treatment on friday and another massage as I said on Monday and have every expectation of vast if not complete improvement. I will be a regular whether it will be every two wks or more or less often ....but I will be back! Thanks Shera read more

So glad that I listened to other reviews and scheduled my first appointment with Shera! The studio was quiet, clean, and had just the right type of "yoga music" to help me zone out while I was getting worked on. I hadn't had a massage in awhile and wasn't feeling my best. She took the time to ask about issues or preferences, which was great. It's good to know you're getting a personal treatment rather than a "one routine for all bodies." After a 90 minute session and a great night's sleep, I feel rejuvenated and ready to get back to training hard! Thanks so much, I appreciated you being able to fit me in on short notice. read more

My husband and I had the couples massage and it was amazing! I got all of my problem areas worked on and walked out so relaxed. From the essential oils to the calm music and the environment, we had a great time. The massage was the perfect pressure the whole time! Would definitely go back if were ever in Durango again. read more

I believe this is the best massage I have ever had, very thorough, attached all the right trigger points, most excellent. Sierra is amazing, ask for her, also the price can't be beat! read more

Amazing massage in a relaxing environment. Came here while I was visiting Durango for work. Trusting the many 5-star Yelp reviews I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. Response times were quick and I was able to book an appointment in the same week. I stayed next door at the Hampton Inn, a short walk from the location. The cupping in addition to the massage was wonderful as well. I wish I lived closer to become a regular customer! read more

I have never experienced a better massage. Shera is so articulate and everything about her massage is professional and friendly. WILL be back! Probably weekly. :) read more

Visiting from out of town so we didn't know where to go for a massage. But this place was so great! The waiting area is super tiny, but that didn't damper the INCREDIBLE couples massage my husband and I received! The two ladies focused on the areas we asked and did such a fantastic job! We loved it! read more

Neva was so great! She really focused on the areas I requested. I had a great conversation with her too and I usually don't want to chat during massages. But I really enjoyed talking to her. Massage Intervention also let me book something same day and super last minute too. I was just passing through from Denver on vacation in Durango and had the time that day. It was a better quality massage than the ones I've had in the past. Yay! Thank you! Sorry for the cash vs card mixup, but we figured it out! Thanks for being flexible. read more

I went in after 11 days of traveling in a car. While I was being worked on I felt muscles I didn't realize were tight (good news). Such a good feeling to get the kinks worked out. I felt very relaxed and happy afterwards. read more

Believe the reviews. Shera is fantastic! I was snow biking at purgatory and on the last day stumbled upon her. She took me in last minute, and I am so glad she did. Go with the whole 90 minutes. My only regret is that I did not discover her earlier. I would have been in all week. I also wish I could have booked an appointment for my wife. By the way I have a bad back that requires attention. So I know different between good and bad therapists. She is one of the best. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment. You will not regret it. read more

I have been a massage therapist and holistic health practitioner for almost 40 years. I LOVE massage. Giving and Receiving. In fact, for the last several years, I have made it a point to receive massage weekly. I have regular therapists I use and, once a month, I will try a new therapist. I also have owned businesses where I have had other therapists working for me. All of this to say, that I am well qualified to discern skilled, intentional touch: healing touch. Touch that integrates knowledge and caring. Touch that leaves me feeling relaxed, balanced, honored and grateful. I only had the good fortune to know and work with Shera for a few weeks. But each week I had an amazing massage with her. As soon as she began her treatment, I knew I had found a master of touch. I just had to relax, trust and enjoy. And drift away. Shera is creative, intuitive and caring. You can feel her caring and skill immediately. Let yourself be treated by the best. She is truly a gift to a world so in need of healing. read more

Shera was wonderful and I definitely recommend her. She knew what she was doing and I felt much better afterwards. The room was very relaxing and set the tone perfectly read more

Met Shera at the gym doing Yoga in the sauna and could just tell she was a body worker. She got me in same day and I'm so glad I went. After dancing for 5 days in a row, really needed some work. The office has a very nice vibe and the table was comfortably warm. She intuitively found all kinds of spots that needed some work and her touch is creative and full of great energy. She is also not afraid to go deep if that is what you want and she maintained a perfectly deep pressure throughout our hour and a half session. Definitely loosened up the tight areas. You will enjoy her bodywork and awareness. read more

Really have been impressed with my two visits. I went after a relay race and a week of CrossFit workouts, respectively. I walked out feeling much better than I did walking in. I particularly enjoyed the essential oils used towards the end of the massage. Relaxing and low key. I'll be back. read more

Just had an outstanding massage at Massage Intervention by Owner Sheri Johnson. My wife and I have regular massages where we live and when we travel. We travel extensively with many trips overseas, pre-Covid-19, and get massages around the whole. So I'm a great judge when it comes to massages. Sheri gives and outstanding massage and it's obvious she is very experienced with amazing technique. The 90 minute massage flew by. She was keen to ensure that she was give me the level of deep tissue massage that I desired and she delivered. If you want an outstanding massage and you find yourself in Durango, Colorado you must add it to your things to do list. Get one after hiking like we did today. read more

My husband and I enjoyed a 90 minute couples massage and we are so impressed and grateful we stumbled upon this!! The therapists were professional, warm welcoming, listened and responded to our tension areas needing worked out! We had the option of using cupping and/or CBD oil which we didn't use but took advantage of the essential oils which heightened the relaxed atmosphere and calming vibe! I called and booked two weeks in advance and customer service over the phone and in person was nothing less than professional and personable! Thank you thank you thank you! We will be returning! read more

Sierra was able to see me on short notice, and I'm so glad she did. My neck, shoulder and arm have been really sore, and she worked the areas until they were completely relieved. The studio is very welcoming and comfortable, and Sierra is an intuitive healer. We barely spoke during the massage, but she seemed to know exactly what to do where. I'm hoping to see her again soon! read more

As a musician I have worked with many massage therapists and physical therapists over the years. Shera is by far the best. She has exquisite technique and a tremendous breadth of knowledge but her approach is intuitive and creative. I booked three sessions and each one was subtly different and built on the progress I had made over the week. Competent massage therapists are relatively common, but finding one at Shera's level is rare and precious. read more

Small town biz scheduling problems. If you want to try and pay someone for a service but be insulted by rude, dippity owner, this is your spot. It's not Customer Service geared; the Owner thinks they are "doing you a favor" if YOU pay THEM. isn't going to work with you if you need a modern scheduling service. It's as if this place is essentially interested in tourists on vacation. I called the owner about the fact the therapist was fine with rescheduling -owner was not! She had texted me a threat on my Fri. I was in court for a last minute Jury Trial LOL. ***She will double charge! She stated! I have never been here. I moved from NYC. She told me "she would charge me twice" as a threat. This is a masage therapy place. Owner lol threw an insult - and told me to "grow up!" Amazing. I was literally in Court due to Judicial Order. I was trying to book a massage. It's a massage for Christ's sake. I will not be patronizing anymore after the threat of double charges in a text from a massage place. Wanted to love this place. Insane. crap in terms of being on Vagaro or MindBody. Go to a Professional; and have fun :) unless you want to be chastized by a masseuse then definitely patronize the business I am certain she will oblige LOL! I will definitely be sharing my experience here around town and beyond. read more

Shera offers a wonderful intuitive massage. She is professional, friendly and highly knowledgeable. She is respectful of needs for peace and quiet as well as feedback regarding pressure, heat, etc. Great massage. I would definitely recommend and will be back (hopefully next week :)). read more

Simply put, Shera is awesome! This was my first ever 90 minute massage, I highly recommend it for anyone that truly needs to get the knots out. She worked my muscles into submission, now I'm just a big lump on a couch. Every two weeks is my regular schedule with Shera now I think I will throw in a 90 minute massage ever so often. If you are looking for a great massage to help get your body back in shape you can't go wrong here. I would give Massage Intervention 10 stars but this system only goes to five. read more

Shera was wonderful. I was gifted a massage by a very special friend and I was not really sure what to expect. Her space is soothing and very relaxing. You can tell every element in the room has been picked with special care and purpose. I loved her different use of aromatherapy oils at different times during the massage, yet none of them were overpowering or invasion. I am very senstive to smell and they were perfect and of course she asked first before using the any scents. The most important part however is the strengthen is her hands. She has a very soft touch, but there is so much power in her hands she just works out all the tension and pain in your muscles. Highly rated and she's really sweet too! read more

excellent, relaxing, conscious. I dont like just any massage, or even pretty good ones. Shera is good, very good.

My first time there and it was awesome!!! Shera Johnson has Great energy and amazing hands!! Shera gave me the best massage I have ever had today! She is very intuitive and skilled. She has a magic touch!

My husband and I are visiting Durango and both had massages with Shara today and completely agree with all of the other 5 star reviews here. Not only did she find all of my knots she expertly dissolved them and spent the perfect amount of time on each one. She somehow also could gently take care of tender spots and ease them in a way that caused them to not be tender!. My husband agrees it was the best massage he has ever had! If you are in Durango you need to book a massage with Shara. We can't wait to return for another massage with her! read more

I have to start by saying this was the best massage I have ever had. Hannah was my therapist and she did an amazing job! The environment in the spa was very relaxing and welcoming. Sierra, another therapist helped get me signed in when I arrived, she was really pleasant to chat with as well. I will absolutely be returning the next time I am in town, only sad that I am not local to the area so I can stop by more often. read more

My wife and I travel in our motorhome to new areas several times a year. As a result, I'm usually tight and twisted like a pretzel when we arrive at our destination. I always book a massage to help unwind and relax, meaning I've experienced countless massages from different massage therapists over the years. To be honest, I'm usually disappointed. However, the massage I received from Shera was extraordinary. She knows her craft like no other. If you're looking for an amazing massage in Durango, do yourself a favor and book a massage with Shera. You will not be disappointed. read more

I found Shera on Yelp and have been enjoying her massages. Initially, I injured my back and needed a deep tissue massage. Shera's massage addressed my entire body and problem areas. I was able to walk easier and lift my legs without pain for the first time in almost a week. With my next massage I left feeling even better. It's clear that she understand the muscles and the body's needs well. Her room is clean, decorated nicely, comfortable temperature and is very soothing. Parking is convenient and safe. She also offers a $10 discount on the next massage if you return within 30 days, that's a sweet deal! read more

I am an endurance athlete. I've been getting body work on a regular basis for 30+ years. I moved to town in June from back east. I was lamenting the fact that I'd have to find a new therapist here in Durango. The thought of "trial and error" was not fun. I had just had my first "Welcome to Durango" mountain bike crash and was in real pain. A friend mentioned that I should go see Shera Johnson. I'm not sure who's looking over me, but boy did I luck out! Shera's intuition is incredible. I didn't really have to tell her where I was stiff. It was if she just knew. I was back on my bike in no time. It's now been almost six months. I've seen Shera on a regular basis. Through her work, she keeps me doing the things I love to do. Whether it's mountain and road biking or, now that it's winter, snowboarding, I know I'm good to go! Thank you Shera! You are amazing gift to me...and to Durango! read more
