I expected Massage Envy Weston location to stand behind their commitment to customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, my recent experience was not just unsatisfactory -- it felt fraudulent. I called to book a massage using my membership. During the call, I was informed that I would not be able to use my membership for that appointment. As a result, I clearly canceled the booking and did not confirm any appointment. I was even provided with the corporate customer service phone number to address the issue further. Despite never confirming the appointment, my credit card was charged the following day. When I contacted the location about the unauthorized charge, they refused to issue a refund and the manager was also very rude . Charging my card without my authorization or confirmation is unacceptable. I am requesting a full refund of the amount charged immediately. read more

We were gifted a couples massage by our wonderful family and landed at this great location. It was so easy making an appointment with Massage Envy so we just chose the closest location at the moment. This Massage Envy is located in a shopping plaza with restaurants and Raw Juce. (I wish we would've come early enough to snag a juice!) We booked a 7pm appointment and love that it was for the end of the day. Sometimes you just need to wine down on a Friday night and take it easy. Also love that this location is open til late! Huge plus. We arrived right on time. Checked in. Filled everything out on their ipad and were immediately taken by the massage therapists. The couples room has two separate doors but joins in the middle. It's nice that it's in the same room but not necessarily cramped or too tight. You're together but separate enough to be able to relax. Our massage therapists were amazing. My girl listened to my concerns and how tight my back was. (Even though I had just gotten a 90 minute massage 1 week ago I still had lots of work left). Well. She went to work! Her pressure was on point almost to the point of pain (but that's exactly what I want when I request a deep tissue massage). My favorite part was that the massage beds were heated. HUGE plus. Massage Envy isn't a luxurious over the top "spa" you get exactly what you come in for: a massage. Were we happy with our massages? Above and beyond! Great place. Great location. Great hours. The level of miscommunication from staff to customers about policies is severely lacking to the point that I lost $120.00 to this location. On Friday, I was told that my rescheduling was not a problem and not to worry and that my credits would transfer to the following Friday, to then get a call today to tell me that that is no longer the case and they will not transfer my credits. Why would I have agreed to reschedule if I couldn't take my $120.00 credit with me? It was very clear that this location miscommunicated to the customer. Rather than admitting fault for the miscommunication and honoring what I was told on Friday, they decided to keep my $120.00 for non-services and cancel my appointment for this coming Friday with Alexa. As a result, I will never buy a membership with this location ever again. I do not engage in unfair business practices and businesses that are not able to take accountability for their actions. Especially ones who inflict a financial loss onto their loyal customers. The poor operation practices of this business negatively impact their employees. I booked a couples massage for me and my girlfriend, and Over all speaking of the Costemer service over the phone it was good, and the front desk lady did a good job, although what should really matter is the $130 massage experience I had. The price is good, but you also expect to get a great service when you pay a price like that. And I have done many massages before. At the start I let the therapist (Armando) know I have an injury on my left arm and he completely ignored it and went hard on my shoulder. As the massage started I told him server times please go softer this hurts over and over again. And he still went hard, all he would answer was "ok" "alright" "ok" nothing else. And it left me in an uncomfortable position, where all I was looking for is a relax moment for me and my girlfriend. And all I got was pain, stress, bad communication with Armando. I want to start by saying this was my second visit to this business. I would love to give this establishment a five star review, but unfortunately during my visit (which is during the pandemic we are in) I walked out of my massage to be greeted by two of the front desk ladies. One of the women was wearing a mask. The other one has taken her mask off. I did not feel comfortable or safe by the inconsistency of the masks being worn or not worn at the workplace. BEWARE! Stay far away. I'm not one to complain but I've had nothing but problems with massage envy in the 10 YEARS I've been a member. The straw to break this camels back was being refused service last night for not allowing myself to be forced to wear a mask. I've been here dozens of times during the pandemic without a mask and have never been bothered before about it. But the 3 girls at the front desks were feeling like saving the world and being heros and denying me service. And told me they are going to use my prepaid session for cancellation. I was not rude, I was actually very polite to them and didn't want to start any problems. I'm simply just going to stop supporting them and I hope everyone that recognizes massage envy for being wrong. If you guys have changed your policy as the front desk girl informed me, to something ridiculous as this, at least give a warning so I didn't have to waste my Friday night waiting for my appointment , driving 10 miles, and not getting what I was charged anyways for. Very very very poorly handled. Massage envy has done me wrong for years and I'll be canceling my membership now. Not to mention I've been a great tipper, did not exempt myself from the membership rate increase, and never complained how they WASTE OVER 20 MINUTES EVERY SESSION. All the different therapist I've tried (dozens) come greet me at least 3 minutes after the appointment time. Take up time to chat, give me 10 minutes to undress when I tell them I'm young and wearing a tshirt and shorts and I only need 60 seconds. And then after the sessions they stop another 10 minutes early. I get less than 40 minutes of the expensive hour I pay for. And regarding the memberships, all the reviews you read are true about them trapping you. I've had 10+ unused sessions before and if you try to cancel your membership they will not work with you, they will just tell you if you cancel you still get charged another months worth and you have one month to get your 10+ massages. I've never felt so mistreated before. Another story: my credit card was cancelled and massage envy was unable to charge me. I had not gotten a new one for a couple months and they cancelled my account and deleted all my unused sessions when i was able to call in to update my payment. When the manager called me back after I said I'm done with them she made a promise to put credits on my account that had to be used in a specific location, I go there and when it's time to pay up they said there was no credit on the account. I said ok I'll pay it but can you please have that manager call me. Never got a call. Another case of they got my money already too bad so sad. Well there will be no more money out of my pocket for them now. 10+ years. THOUSANDS of dollars. And I've never been more mistreated by a company before, and I loathe the victim type mentality. They are always looking for ways to screw their clients out of money instead of being fair. Throughout the massage, my masseuse kept trying to up-sell me on add-ons (aromatherapy lotion, DMD, and extra time with her), which wasted more time. I never got a chance to even get relaxed. So my hour long massage ended up being more like 40 minutes, and I didn't even get to fully immerse myself in it. Super annoying experience. I definitely expected a sales pitch during checkout at the end, but to get this during the massage is ridiculous. Super bad strategy for business development, Massage Envy. It's been a while since my last massage, so I was really looking forward to this experience. Instead of leaving recharged and rejuvenated, I left frustrated and disappointed. They should focus less on getting you to sign up for their membership / purchase add ons, and focus more on a delivering a solid service. The reply by Massage Envy to my complaint states that "the experience you describe regarding membership at our location is not characteristic of the experience we aim to provide" YET, there are lots of similar complaints on the web about that location. So, in fact, my experience IS TYPICAL of the experience one should expect from that location. Their "apology" is nothing more than lip-service! "We tried to reach out to you multiple times..." I never spoke with anyone from Massage Envy, nor received anything via mail. They admitted they didn't have my email address, nor my cell or business phone numbers. I eat dinner every Friday at the next door restaurant. I've walked into their location each Friday (and most Saturdays) looking for a last minute massage. Robin, their manager who knows us well and by name, never informed us that there was a problem with our membership! "Furthermore, the contract specifically states..." We satisfied our contract with you in 2012. Florida statute 501.1651(b) requires you to give written notice of the renewal. You didn't, so in effect, my contract with you ended back in 2012. According to the law, you had no right to bill me beyond that date, in effect, you stole 2.5 years times 3 accounts from me! "Contract..." Let's not forget that your company (franchisor) signed a settlement of a FEDERAL CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT and may become subject to a separate Florida class action suit if it's approved (and your defiance of the federal suit makes it easy for the Florida suit to be approved). You agreed not to engage in certain illegal business practices, specifically taking away pre-paid for massages. Lastly, your reply clearly states "Please feel free to contact me directly at (email address) or (phone number) to discuss in greater detail" and signed by "Andrea O'Brien", yet when I call to discuss further, I am told that "this matter is being handled by Massage Envy's HR personnel." I then ask for that department's number and am told "we don't have that information." I am also told that the reply here was posted by that "HR person" and not Andrea O'Brien as signed. This game playing is typical of our experiences with Massage Envy. My wife was lead to believe she was speaking with manager "Dee", yet on another call, Dee told my wife that she was actually speaking with Andrea O'Brien. In summary, Massage Envy has made no attempt either by contacting me by phone, email or writing to maintain us as a client. They have refused to provide an accounting of our confiscated massages, claiming that corporate might have that information (yet corporate has not responded to my written request). And Massage Envy continues to defy a federal court order. ONCE AGAIN! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH UNETHICAL BUSINESS PEOPLE! THERE ARE BETTER ALTERNATIVES! IT'S JUST NOT WORTH IT! read more
