Company policy is to charge you 100% if you can not make appointment, however, will not do their part if they cancel same day, even a few hrs before your appointment, to accommodate schedules. Seems flawed. If you have that policy, then you owe it to customers to have a " standby" therapist or someone available "on call." I HIGHLY recommend this location if you're looking for a massage. Prior to this visit, I had never had a professional massage before but Lisa provided an incredible experience for my first time! She asked if I would prefer that she focus on her work or if I wanted to chat with her, she asked about my upcoming wedding/honeymoon, and throughout the massage asked me how the pressure felt. The front desk ladies were incredible as well!! All were very respectful of the areas I would prefer to be left alone, and were very accommodating. Unfortunately this was the fastest hour of my entire life and I would pay for an 8-hour massage from these people. Well done!!! read more

I made an appointment online for a medium to high pressure massage therapist. The morning of my appointment, I received a call telling me my therapist wasn't available but they had someone that was comparable that could be available. I agreed. The massage started and this therapist had almost no pressure. I asked her to increase the pressure and she tried but physically couldn't. She told me she was recovering from shoulder surgery and was considered a light pressure therapist only. I asked to stop the massage because I was told this massage would be comparable to what I booked and it was clear to me it wasn't. I was deceived. I won't be back. read more

I booked a couples massage for my husband and I on a Friday date night. We had a sitter and I was so excited to be able to get a relaxing massage after dinner on our night out. On our way to dinner, someone called and said that one of the massage therapists had an emergency and wouldn't be able to make it. Mind you, I had to give a credit card to hold the appointment and it was too late to cancel without a fee when I booked because I had booked earlier that day. So even though we, the paying customer, wouldn't have been able to cancel at that point massage envy called and cancelled on us. I'm not heartless, I understand that emergencies happen but I feel like some other compensation should have been offered. "We are sorry that we cannot honor your appointment tonight as planned but we'd be happy to give you a discount or complimentary massage next time." Or something to that affect would have been nice. . . But no. Just sorry. I was super disappointed in what happened and how it was handled. read more

Went there this morning for a 9am appt for a firm massage. It was the biggest waste of time and money I've ever spent. The massage was not firm at all and when I asked for a firmer massage during the session I just got a "well this is umm" that's it. An answer non answer. I was told on the way out that there are 2 people there that do deep massages but that doesn't help me an hour later. Very frustrating. Should have stuck with my usual masseuse in Centerville. read more

Made an appointment today and buy the luck of the draw I got Jamie. She listened to the areas that were bothering me. She didn't incredible job on my massage. Probably the worst "professional" massage I've ever had in my life. Booked a 90min couples massage for me and my wife, which we desperately needed as new parents to a 4 month old... My wife and I both had bad experiences. Mine was horrible, while hers was mediocre. My masseuse was some dude that was clearly not a LMT, which I don't expect from a massage envy, but was moreso a random dude they asked to fill-in since they couldn't get enough experienced folks. Don't remember his name but was a thicker blonde due that claimed to be ex-military. Long story short, it was not the 90min firm full-body massage I paid for, but turned out to be a 70min lazy back rub that make my back a bit raw. Literally did not massage anything else I asked for or he said he would when asking where I needed attention (why even ask me to fill out those stupid sheets then?) My wife's masseuse was also pretty lazy at first. She had a slightly rude and rushed tone when speaking to her. For example, my wife is a nursing mom and needed a chest pillow. She basically just handed her the pillow and rudely told her to not touch her skin on the pillow and make sure sheets were on top. Completely understand the reason why, but a little help and nicer tone wouldve been much better than the annoyed / rude tone she had while she just watched my wife struggle to get the pillow in position. Sorry to inconvenience you! Her massage was apparantly was lazy and light at first, but apparantly got better once she asked for more pressure. To top it all off, they had issues with a new system they implemented and only had 1 credit card machine in the back. While waiting for them to get ready to check us out, my wife's masseuse walked up front and started talking about tips, coincidentally at the exact same time the front desk workers were asking us how much tip to add to our bill...They could ask us to simply write a number on a sheet of paper if their systems don't allow for a tip line (which most reasonable spas do), rather than try to shame customers to tip in front of the masseuse that gave their massage. ALSO, while the transactions were running (literally took 20minutes to settle-up, another issue) my masseuse came out and asked for his tips from front desk. He then told them it's short and that he's not getting the tips in his paystub and that someone is taking his tips. Really awkward thing to openly speak about with customers right there. Despite how shitty it was, we still tipped the recommended amount (they have a tip guide on the desk) as I know they rely on gratuities for a significant portion of their income (just figured well never come back) The only positive thing about the place was that the front desk workers were actually nice and pleasant. Absolutely love my experience here every time I go. When you book the appt. the staff immediately asks what specifically you are coming in for, customizing each secession for me. I started out doing an hour but realized how much more I get out of my membership doing a 90 minute. The therapists there are really nice and make me feel important. They genuinely care about me and my body and suggest at home care to keep myself up. The bath salts are very nice too. I'd recommend Lisa for relaxation and James for working out any tension or knots. Haven't had a bad experience yet :) read more

I almost canceled after reading a negative review about the WC site. So glad I did not! Went for "girls day out" with my two granddaughters and we had a wonderfully positive experience. The facility was in style of other ME spas I have visited. It was clean with relaxing atmosphere. The in-take receptionist Sheniece was personable, professional and knowledgeable. I am definitely not a massage novice and I can say without reservations that my massage experience with my technician, Rick was one of my very best. He was respectful and professional. I could not believe what he did with my jaws, brows and neck when I told him I was grinding my teeth. It was heavenly! The rest of massage was thorough, relaxing and the pressure was just right. My granddaughters were very positive about their technicians as well. I plan to schedule again. read more

Just what I needed...I was in agony this morning after pulling a muscle in my shoulder and neck. I saw Tabby who was excellent, it took seconds to complete the paperwork and I was being worked on very quickly. She applied the right amount of pressure, checked several times during the massage how I was feeling and I will be back to see her again. I decided to sign up for the members package but unlike the other reviewer I didnt get any hard sell at all, I actually asked what it entailed and was provided the info but didnt feel any pressure to sign up for it, which was good, the hard sell if off putting and would have turned me away. My husband and I have had memberships here for a couple of years now. We both have very stressful jobs and I CrossFit. Needless to say, we get deep tissue massages monthly. Sometimes more! Alex is amazing and is so good at working out knots and stress. She is absolutely a life saver for us. We have also had couples massages there and aromatherapy. Always a pleasant experience with the West Chester location. Friendly staff, clean and tranquil spa atmosphere, as well as retail to maintain your results after your session. I recommend getting an aromatherapy during your session, really makes the difference! I signed up for their monthly program and have never felt better! I did a couples massage here with my husband earlier this year and would not go back. We spent 20 mins filling out their extensive form on what we wanted massaged. Then I think they must have thrown the forms away because I spent the whole massage answering questions about what areas I wanted and not relaxing. My husband also said the techniques his masseuse used were not relaxing and borderline weird. At the end they hit us up with a strong sales pitch for regular service...no thanks.
