When I went to my appointment I was told the appointment was never rebooked and they didn't have time for me. The place is nice and clean and everything - however I would not recommend or pick this out for myself. My husband got a BOGO deal for Christmas ($115) and gifted it to me. I went to the first massage on black Bob and then tried the 119th for my second massage today. Front desk is snotty. I was waiting in person to check out white they were on the phone with another customer for a good 5-8 minutes. Second off - you're paying for a 60 min massage but only receive 50 minutes so you get 10 minutes of time to dress and undress. 10 minutes that you're paying for to dress.....and...undress. So disappointed! Booked myself and a friend for services. First they cancel mine the day before. Annoying, but get it switched to something else at a similar time. Friend gets a call 90 minutes before her appointment--she is cancelled too. Extremely frustrating and will look anywhere else in the future for services. read more

Amazing!!! As a busy working mother of a special needs child, I don't have the luxury of splurging on myself. But this place is worth it. I was introduced to this hidden hem a year ago by a friend who "kidnapped me" for some mommy time. I signed up for a membership but never got another chance to go back. A year later I just lost my job and had to cancel my membership. Not only was the lady over the phone polite and respectful, she was sympathetic to my situation and never once ridiculed me for canceling. She helped me with the paperwork and even found some unused massage credits on my file. Since I'm unemployed currently I was able to get a family friend to watch my daughter and sneak away for a full body massage and facial. Again, amazing! If I ever get another job I think I'm going to renew my membership and try to do this again once a month. Staff was very polite and respectful. Did not treat me any differently because I was using credits and not paying much outside of tips. I only wish I could have afforded bigger tips. I will be back after I find a job. Ahhh, massages! The cornerstone of relaxation, tension release, accidental naps and CONTRACTS! Oh, you didn't expect that last item? Yeah, me neither. Especially when I called to make an appointment, told the lady at the front desk that I had gotten a gift card for Christmas from my Aunt, who specified to the lady at that time she wanted to buy me an hour long massage, my Aunt paid $55 and then this placed charged me $90 for an hour. Why? Well other than their policies resembling that of a telecommunication or cable company, it was simply because "I wasn't a member." Okay, I get that. But then when somebody wants to give the gift of relaxation to somebody and specifies they want a gift card for an hour why do you charge only $55? Good ol' bait and switch tactics here, folks. I'm not one to give 1 star ratings so readily, but the policies that this place implements is not worth your time nor money, especially since there are so many other places to get a massage. I can walk into Zen Massage, no contracts, and get an hour massage for $50 without any hassles or mystery charges. On top of that, the lady was not being helpful when I kept inquiring about the question I stated above. "Well sir, that's just our policy." I'm not asking for a freebie here, but don't tell my Aunt one thing and then charge me double and act neglectful stating, "It's just our policy." It's just following through on what you promised, that's all I asked and didn't receive. I've been a member since 2016. It started out good, but over the years, the quality has declined, both in service and in the facilities themselves. The sound systems are awful, I can clearly hear people talking/laughing in the hall and adjacent rooms, and the massages widely vary in quality. Last year, I was given a gift certificate by the Olathe location in exchange for continuing my membership through the Covid lockdowns, and was assured that it could be used at any ME location (I moved 3.5 hours away in 2019). My current location won't honor the card. Because of this, and the inconsistency of the quality of massages I've received, I'm now trying to cancel my membership. The location I now live near said the Olathe location has to initiate the cancellation. I just got off the phone with the Olathe location - I was told a manager has to do the cancellation, and they are currently between managers. My name and date of request has been put on a list for someone there to take care of - if the cancellation isn't done before the next billing cycle, I'll be contacting my credit card company to contest the charges. read more

I should have taken the reviews seriously. They asked for me to arrive 15 mins to fill out paperwork and I did then I waited 10 mins after my appt time but before I was taken to the quiet room. As I was waiting I hear the staff asking other customer if they would like to become an member ..huh I was never ask that question. On ward I get into the room maybe 15 mins has pass before Service was render but my hour facial turned into 40 mins. Massage envy I shall never return and I hope when people read this they will not patronize your business. read more

I do not like to leave negative feedback, but this is the second time in the past couple months that it comes time for my appointment and I'm no longer on their calendar. I come consistently every six weeks, and I always book my next appointment in person before I leave. I have it written down that I did rebook, but I get very little sympathy for the errors. Simply a we'll call you if something opens up. I look forward to my six week appointments, so this is more than disappointing. read more

The worst experience ever. First I got into a terrible car accident and could receive massages due to health issues. When I told them because I wanted to cancel my contract for health being in and out of the hospital, they wouldn't let me. They told me it doesn't fall into cancellation reason. Then I had someone on my account and they moved to California. I called to cancel their contract because if you move 25 miles away from the location you can cancel it. They told me he would have to sign paperwork. The paperwork was never sent and he came to visit town and was told he could not cancel his contract in person. I asked for both to be cancelled in February. Due to heath matters and someone moving out of the state. They still charge me every month. I will never ever go to massage envy again. They have the worst customer service and the manager Rachel, is so unprofessional. It's ridiculous. I've honestly thought to lawyer up because I found out legally within my whole situation they can cancel my contract and they're choosing not too. First massage since I moved here and I have had several before....but the customer service was outstanding....I felt as though I had been a client for years!!!! My husband and I have massage envy gift cards that we will probably never use as I'm thoroughly disappointed in their customer service. Everything was so confusing with memberships and contracts not to mention the signs everywhere explaining that you need to tip your masseuse. It was like negotiating a business deal...not relaxing. I was willing to put up with all this just so I didn't feel like I was losing $400-$500. We thought it would be nice to go in for massage on my birthday and booked one for a Friday afternoon at 1:30. One day later we received a call back asking to move our appointment up to 1 PM which was no big deal. Thursday evening before my massage on Friday, I received a message to contact them regarding my appointment. When I called back and identified myself and the receptionist put me on hold for 10 minutes. When she returned to the phone, she informed me that our couples massage was canceled due to a scheduling conflict. She offered no alternative just said she needed to cancel my appointment. Ironically, 45 minutes later I received a call from massage envy to remind me that I had an appointment at 1 pm the next day. I also lost $50 because one of the promo cards expired that day. The staff is unfriendly, the massages are meh, and the membership is a scam. It is not only this location that I am referring to. Massage Envy as whole is a terrible company with terrible people. 0/10 would refer to a friend. Freezing your account/trying to end your membership is incredibly difficult and they have the entire system up with themselves in mind, not the customer. I want to thanks the Sunday afternoon crew at Olathe, Ks at the Black Bob location especially the manger for trying to control me and provoke me after I told her I have PTSD she kept saying you calm down sir ,began her rant about calming down over and over..... trying to call 911 as I was angry and raising my voice but no physical signs of aggression at all were shown. Now what happened was I have family in from NV to attend my daughters wedding I wanted to treat all my guests to a message . Under the previous manager I dealt with was a peach lets say I have blown some cash here and was impressed. I called and set up the appointment for 3 three for the 6/4 at 3and 3:30. Ok massage day got a call at 1:00 saying our appointments were canceled. Now I'm pissed No apology just we have to reschedule you....Well their fault having an un-trained new associate take live calls and screwed up and double booked us. Well getting another appointment set was impossible as Friday began the celebrations. I am a disabled Vet with PTSD and many health problems from exposure of sarin and many other chemicals. I canceled one appointment and my mother got her facial and the charged me half for the un-canceled slot. The manager said "we have to pay the massuse" no one ever admitted any fault only me and I apologized all EYE TO EYE so the manager would shut her BIG MOUTH and let me explain my side. She obviously was un trained as a manager as well had no clue except to attack me. It was your mistake of scheduling to begin with don't give excuses you screwed up this would have never happened. I went into Massage Envy on February 12th to receive a massage and facial. First, the massage therapist comes out and let's me know she's running late, which I said was no problem. She didn't take me back until 4:45 and finished at 5:15... I thought maybe the intro price was actually just 30 minutes and I read something wrong. I went to the receptionist who informed me it should have been for an hour and was VERY apologetic. Then, the facial lady comes out and takes me back around 5:30 and finishes at 6. I then realize, the place was closing at 6, and my assumption is everyone wanted to leave and not give me the service I paid for. I am a mom of 2 toddler boys with one on the way and get to indulge in these types of things once every 6 months or even once a year. This kind of treatment and customer service is just really inexcusable. Not only that, if a company were to send me half a shirt, I would clearly not pay for it. I paid for 2 services I literally did not receive. If I had just not liked my services I could see that, but I didn't actually get an hour massage or facial.
