Nicole is my favorite, and if it was a rating for Nicole, I would give her 5 stars. I also like the availability emails they used to send out, makes it easy to book last min appointment. I have not had terrible experience with Massage Envy at Nashua, though once I got an inexperienced therapist and for that I took off 1 star. The cost went up with any notice, so that was a turn-off for me but I wonder if it's just a corporate thing that the branch may not have a lot control over. I wish I would get a balance of my hours at the end of each month or each visit. That would be great for someone like me who does not necessary use their monthly hour and tend to save up hours for longer sessions. read more

Massages are so so at best when you have to tell a new therapist every time what you want because you can't get the therapist , time or day you want. After paying a couple of months for my membership and then finally opening I was excited to get an appointment. Well I can't say how excited I am to get back to Texas this was a huge disappointment. Not only did I get called in late. But it didn't even last an hour (time stamped pictures included) (appointment 1:30-2:30). The therapist also went to check the tablet multiple times throughout the session-taking away from an already shortened massage. Also I left with a worse headache than the one I went with. Definitely won't go back to this massage envy :( only reason they are getting two stars is because the rapid tension relief was nice even though he didn't evenly distribute it. read more

Muriel, who gives facials, is fantastic. This is not about her ability to give a facial. I cancelled my membership after, during covid, I had to continue to pay, forfeit accrued hours, or place a hold. I chose to come back in April and "spend down" my remaining hours, planning out a schedule to use them all down. I booked out appointments for several months at this time to accomplish this. I have received texts that my credit card information needs updating. Yesterday, I checked in via text, as is standard. For a 7pm appointment, I checked in and did not receive a "come inside" text until 6:59pm. I went inside, waited, and wasn't taken in til after 7. I enjoyed my facial, and upon exiting, was told I owed $50 for an upgrade. I had an additional appointment booked in two weeks to "spend down" my balance. I was not informed of this additional charge. The front desk clerk was flustered, and stared at me wide eyed "She didn't know how to take it off.". Was I also expected to be an expert in their point of sale system? She made a phone call, and I still owed $50. I didn't see the value in contiuening to argue with her, so I paid, tipped, cancelled my next.appointment, and I'll never be back. Similarly to a gym membership, it would appear they have no flexibility in membership fees, and upcharge without informing clients first. I am only completing this review after a text message prompting me to do so. Imagine running your business so poorly you are actively soliticiting a review from an angry customer 15 hours later, and you'll have a pretty good idea of how this business operates. This location is the worst there is, it's all about sales getting people to signup, drive up revenues, no focus on service. Issues stem from the management downwards. Continuously appointments are cancelled, no appointments are available for one or two months out, even if you select those two months out appointments, they get cancelled. Management has no soft skills, they think there is nothing wrong with how they are doing business. Mainly their business approach at this location is not customer centric and they are not ashamed about it. You are locked in a one year contract, that is your problem, once you are locked-in they make sure to give you less than minimum service and the customer is stuck, paying for bad or most cases no-service. read more

Veronica- was nice- I think she tried really hard. But for my first EVER facial, this experience was not good for me at all . :( I have been experiencing facial acne for the first time in my life this past year and a half. I have tried HUNDREDS of home care remedies and regimens- and nothing has helped. My acne is not horrible, but the few breakouts I have is driving me bonkers. I have been trying to go to this nashua location for MONTHS! My schedule is extremely busy, and every time I call for a day-of appointment, there's never an opening. This Wednesday there was! And I was really excited. I am getting married next month and I really have been trying my hardest to get my face cleared up before my wedding. She gave me a lot of helpful information about Murad- which is the product they sell/advertise. But, for my first time, I felt like all the talking about products was stressful and completely gave a negative spin on the experience. I came to relax, and get a nice facial, to maybe help my acne/self esteem- but instead, I sat under steam and sun-bright lights, with my shirt off while I was talked to for a full hour. Honesty, I don't remember 80% of the information she tried giving me. I was first told to take my shirt off and get comfortable, because they give a nice shoulder and neck massage as a treat for they clients. I never got that. I actually looked forward to that- and figured I would've gotten one while my mask was drying. I also expected a facial massage- and was told -and I quote- "Sometimes I step outside of protocol depending on what's best for the client". I was then told that she was afraid of irritating my skin and didn't feel comfortable giving me a face massage. The products smelled great. I really enjoyed the hot steam- which opened up my sinuses and felt great on my face. The enzyme mixture burned a lot in the beginning, but went away after 2 minutes. Then- She starts telling me about "extractions". In my head, I'm thinking that's a fancy way of maybe peeling off the mask and removing black heads. Nope! I was wrong. She sat there and squeezed pimples off my face! It would've have been nice to asked! And it was painful. I think I scared her with my reaction, because after that she rushed through the rest of my session. I was disappointed overall. I also felt pressured into buying a membership. And then when I told them I didn't need a member ship because I am a member over at Elements for massage, I was told by the front desk attendant that well next time you visit, you will pay 90 dollars for a facial. Ok, well, there won't be a next time- did you just try punishing me? The best part of this whole visit, was I met with clients after my facial- and my clients pointed out white paint all over my face. I WAS HORRIFIED! She didn't wash off all the clay mask on my face- and I walked around with white stuff all over my ear, neckline and jaw! I don't know ANYTHING about facials. I hate to leave 1 star but I really cant say much positive about my appt. I went for a prenatal massage a few weeks ago. They really shouldnt call it a '60 minute' massage....it was more like a '35 minute' massage...they took me in for my appt late (I was on time) and then the therapist had to go search for the pillows because she had set up for a regular massage not prenatal. The therapist almost fell off her stool during massage and laughed about it for 10 minutes...not very relaxing. And overall it just wasnt a good massage, and very rushed. If I could give a 0 I would. My boyfriend and i booked a couples appointment weeks ago and had to rearrange and take Personal days (of which he only gets 3) for this appointment. I just got a call, 3 hours before the appointment, saying that my massage therapist had called out so the appointments needed to be changed. I understand that her children were sick and that she couldn't go in, but I don't think it's fair that no one else could cover the appointment. We have been looking forward to this for a long time as we both work physically demanding jobs with difficult schedules. I am beside myself right now at the lack of customer service provided to both my sister and I at this company. Be very careful when buying a gift card for anyone because if that person has been to a massage envy in the past 6 months they will charge the recipient an additional $50. Nice way to say Merry Christmas... Background: My sister went to Massage Envy Nashua to purchase an hour massage for me for Christmas. On the gift card "1 hour massage" is written so I called my local Massage Envy in Needham and not only did they not have an appointment until February, they said that they could only honor the value of the gift card ($49.99) not an hour massage and if I wanted to continue I would have to pay the difference of what a "non-member" pays ($50). So I would be paying $99.99 for a massage from a massage chain in the mail... I think not. I called the originating store to explain the situation and see if they would honor the gift (a one hour massage - not $49.99 to spend at Massage Envy). The first receptionist said that my sister should have given my name so they could check if I had been there before. This is fine but my sister can't read minds and no one explained this to her. After speaking with the manager I was basically told that my sister is lying and probably embarrassed that she couldn't spend the extra money... no, she just wanted to get her sister a massage for Christmas and now it is going to go to waste. Massage Envy should check their business model and not try to be so sneaky and up-sell you at every stage. I understand that you want to give people an incentive to join after the "introductory" rate but don't sell gift cards like that... This is supposed to be relaxing, not torture. I'm giving it 3 stars because any massage is still pretty good! My therapists did an ok job. Nothing to great. I'm easy to please where I just prefer a very soft touch. The lounge and rooms were modern and clean. Staff was nice. However be prepared for high pressure sales moves! You get a great deal the first time you go but you will then be pressured to sign up for a monthly membership. It's a great deal if you can afford a massage a month. I just don't feel the high pressure sales go well with a relaxing massage. read more

HORRENDOUS. Probably the weirdest, amateur massage establishment I've been to. First off, I was about 15 minutes late for my 11AM appointment. So massage started around 11:15 and ended around 12:15. That's on me. This was a one hour massage gifted to me from my mother via my mother's membership. One week prior, I confirmed the appointment and that my mother successfully transferred one of her hour long massages to me. My mother bought seven massages on Christmas mostly to gift out to people. When I arrived I was surprised that they did not have a locker for folks to put their items in. There was no robe or anything. I've been to other massage establishments so this whole thing was kind of weird. I was literally lead to a room where I threw all my stuff in the corner and the masseuse gave me a couple minutes to get comfortable and lay on the table. The massage was good and the masseuse was good and nice. The things that were a real turn off for me were while exiting the folks at the front desk described my mothers membership as being "frozen" or "suspended." I explained that I called last week and confirmed that there were no issues and that a massage was transferred from my mothers membership to me as a Christmas gift. Young lady at the front desk said she could take care of it, whatever I don't even know what she was saying. She was the type that would just immediately start talking without even thinking about the answer when asked a question. Sounding like she's making stuff up and if she's going to be wrong she's going to sound confident. So they claimed my mothers membership was frozen or suspended and then they also claimed that there were notes stating that my mother told them that my mother does not speak good English. My mother is 100% American with Irish and French heritage but does not speak any other language than English. So I was insulted by the fact that they claimed my mothers membership was suspended or frozen and did not speak good English. The one thing that bothered me about the masseuse is that after the massage she sounded like a sales person more than a masseuse. Kind of like when you go to the mechanic and then the mechanic starts sounding like a sales person instead of a mechanic. Like I said, I've been to other massage establishments and has never tried to be up-sold on future appointments, products, or services. That was a turn off. Anyhow I left a $20 gratuity/tip. I then called my mother and described what this establishment described to me about my mother's membership being frozen or suspended and her not speaking good English. My mother then called them immediately. They told my mother that she had until the next day to pay $60 to get more massages to unfreeze her account. She just bought a bunch of massages on Christmas (less than 2 months prior) and still has like 4 or 5 left. It's been less than two months. Now they are trying to blackmail my mother into giving them more money to "unfreeze" her membership? This is ridiculous trying to take advantage of an elderly woman. How insulting is that. They also told my mother that they charged her two hour long massages from her membership instead of just the one hour for my massage. For what? Why would this establishment charge my mother's "frozen" membership two hour long massages for the one hour long massage that I had? Then of course they can't talk to me about it since it's not my membership. They have to talk to my mother only. This place should be audited. Seems like there's mismanagement, disorganization, and a lot of unethical things going on. I wonder how many other people they've tried to take advantage of with the "the account's been frozen, pay us more." And charging people two hours of massages for a one hour massage. And claiming people have broken English. Disgusting, I would avoid this place. read more

This location is a RIP off and very unprofessional. No one knows anything a.d they just pass the buck to someone else. They have twice charge my credit card without authorization. Once was for someone else's massage then again after my account was on suspension due to my severe medical issues. I have provided them doctors documentation that I am not allowed to use there services and must cancel, yet they will.not refund my money ($195). that they were not authorized to charge. Medical I cannot use any of there services and they just keep advising me to bad.. If I were anyone out there I would avoid this place like the plague. Just want to be clear right away that I got a massage here and it was awesome!! I asked for the same massage therapist the second time around and he was great. My husband gets my anniversary present or birthday present from here all the time. The reason for the 3 stars is for two reasons. One being the customer service at the front desk and second being that they didn't accommodate the gift card that I had gotten. My husband got me a gift card for a massage and it came with a facial or a stretch. There was some deal at the time. When he bought it they gave him a gift card and wrote on it what it was for. When I went to give the girl my payment (gift card) I wanted to schedule my facial. She said I needed some voucher. My husband never got a voucher and why would he even need one. It should say it on the freaking computer system. Also was written on the gift card. Very frustrating. The girl at the front desk could have cared less. She wasn't helpful and didn't do anything but tell me there was nothing she could do. I'm very disappointed and told my husband to make sure he did not buy my gifts here anymore. I recently got a massage at this Nashua location. My massage was good but the person at the front desk was rude and nasty. I had a gift card that I got as a gift and tried to use. Not only was I told it wasn't valid but this person did nothing to try and help me resolve the issue. I was just told "thats what the system says". Needless to say not only did I have to pay out of pocket but the person who gave me the card is out $100.00. I was furious and this woman just told me to call corporate if I wasn't happy. Couldn't send it to them so figured I would save it here... I wanted to express how disappointed I was today in your services... the massage therapist didn't bring me back to the room until 4:07-4:10 then they didn't give me the paperwork for the Rapid Tension so he had to go out to the front to get the paperwork, that took another few moments for him to have me fill it out and just sign it. Then he leaves the room so I can get on the table. He comes back a few minutes later this is now 4:15. Please remember I was 15 minutes early for this appointment so he did not start until about quarter past then the machine lost power so he had to go and get a new one, then had to set that up there is another 2 to 3 minutes off of my massage all in all I got about 40 minute massage yet I was charged for the full 60 minutes. OH.... and you might want to check the rapid tension machine because he did not watch my hair so I am sure that it is stuck in it. My boss bought these for us as a thank you for doing a team-building Exercise. I know he spent a good amount of money with you because I'm almost positive they were about 20 of us that went to do this. I am really disappointed in your place. Your reception staff did offer to give me credit for another massage but to be honest I will not return to your establishment. You want people to be on time but your staff was not and even using a 50 minute hour I was still not given the proper time. Most of my paperwork was done before I came and I waited 10 minutes in the wait room this should have been done before hand... Thank you for reading this rant. I've visited this location before and has someone else, visited Elements many times, and then came back to ME and booked with Nicole... Needless to say I've become a member. Nicole is extremely polite, enthusiastic, and not only does the massage make you feel good but so doesn't the therapist. The overall treatment here at this location is phenomenal. Over the past 3-4 years, I have been a loyal Massage Envy customer. We have primarily used Nashua but also frequented Methuen. I have 3 memberships that are billed monthly. At the start of covid, the billing stopped. Once the massage parlors were allowed to open again, billing continued. One day, I called to schedule an appointment for my son who is a paying member. He was not quite 15 yet so they denied him an appointment. Why does he have to pay if he can't go? After not wanting to go for a few months due to safety concerns and length of possible exposure in a small room, I decided I no longer wanted to get massages. I called to cancel my memberships for the time being. We had over 8 credits paid for each by the time I cancelled. At $55 per credit, this is over $1300. They allow you only 2 months to use up your credits and then you lose the rest. I called the manager to see if there was anything I could do. I wanted to use them but how can I use 8 credits in 2 months? I will be there weekly which is ridiculous. They refused to help and basically told me TOO BAD! read more

I cancelled my membership 14 months ago, and yet the billings continue today. The following incident happened at the Billerica location but pathetically managed by Nashua due to my membership being started there..... I had a positive experience here I previous reviewed on yelp... to which I am now replacing. My husband came here and during the initial conversation (prior to getting undressed etc) he told her he was here to relax and just wanting an all over body massage. She told him she would focus on his back and he needs help. After correcting her again (her English wasn't very good) and getting on the table the hell began. She talked the entire time he was laid there about how he has to come see her every week or he will end up with serious back issues and hip problems. She was very rough and he told her the pressure was too much. She then used her thumb to jam into his shoulder and when he shouted from the surprise and pain she told him "pain is good. Pain let's the fire out. I make my people cry and curse in pain and they thank me for it". My husband told her that she won't get that from him and to stop. She then continued to "massage" telling that "yes yes pain is good" using pressure that hurt and made him shout to stop and she simply ignored. My husband wanted to get up but he wasn't dressed and didn't want to stand up without any clothes on in a room alone with this crazy woman. Awful. His back was so red and sore he was nauseated that night and the following day. When he came out to pay told the front desk staff and they said sorry and that they'd had other complaints about that therapist. Then they asked him if he wanted to tip and anything else they can do for him! He left and called me. I called and no manager was present so I demanded a callback. I asked about the franchisees contact info and told they were out of town. The manager called and agreed to a refund of services paid but not used (we have a membership)but would need to have the Nashua location process it as we signed up at that location. A week later and no phone call or refund I called back... no manager present. Waited, nothing. Called back another day... no manager present. I then called Nashua... surprise... no manager so had to wait for her call me back when she is in the office/location. Another week later and no call back I call again... ok... nothing has been done and she will send me a cancellation form I now have to complete. Sooo I fill this out and send it over.... another week passes... nothing done. Arrange for a call back (yet again no manager present) and told it is being processed.... I am now THREE weeks on from that and still owed $195. No call and no refund. Had this been a woman on the table vulnerable and a male therapist I imagine the police would have been called. I now wish I had involved them. Now I'm at the point where I think an attorney should be brought in. I've dialed down the crazy things this woman said to my husband as she assaulted him because it's so rediculous I don't want my review to lose its credibility. The reasons for only one star is mostly poor customer service. i was a regular customer and was very happy with my therapist (Laura or Lora, not sure of the spelling). The problem was she was not reliable. I went down two times for an appointment and she didn't show up or call in. The second time, she gave an hour's notice but I had already left to do an errand on the way. I tried another therapist ( Christine) but the experience left me in great pain. I called to cancel my program but was not told I had to fill out a form. I thought all was well, but just discovered a $65. on my charge dated Oct. 30th.. When I called, I was told they were just being "nice" not charging me for a couple of months. The manager said she would not refund the $65. not a good advertisement for this company! read more

I've been to a few Massage Envy locations and they are very inconsistent. The one in North Reading, MA is pretty good but the one in Nashua is terrible. I tried the one in Nashua a year ago and was unhappy. They took me in later than my appointment and didn't give me my full time. The massage was too light - even after I kept asking her to go deeper. I know 1 experience may not represent their entire staff. So I held off posting a review. I've since tried it again on a different day of the week with a different person. The girl (I say that because she was not very mature in personality) spent the entire time complaining about her boyfriend and family. I was there to relax and it was not relaxing but stressful. I have been going to Massage Envy for several years but haven't been in several months because they are not taking 2 hour appointments. I decided that it's been long enough so I decided to go for a 90 min. I have to say that this visit did not end well. The massage itself was great but the front end staff member, on that particular day, was not very pleasant. I would think that being in customer service they would be more pleasant instead of making it seem like they don't want to be bothered. I've always paid the gratuity in cash but because of covid their not taking cash. I asked why and she said we just haven't since we opened. I said my cash does not have covid so I'm not sure why it's an issue. I would have put it in the gratuity envelope but they removed those too, not sure why because after they touch the envelope, they can use hand sanitizer like most everyone else does. I said well I am not putting gratuity on my credit card. All other places take cash, restaurants, hair salons, department stores so I am not sure why cash is not allowed. They had to go out back to get the massage therapist so I could hand her the gratuity. So much for the relaxing massage! read more
