Dawn took the time to explain why it is so important to make massage and caring for our bodies a normal maintenance part of our health instead of just a luxury. I called and specifically requested a male masseuse over the telephone and they said Yes no problem. When I arrived there were two women who barely spoke any English I told the one woman where my pain was and she just shook her head and said ok. She was terrible I had to tell her twice to do it harder, but she did not understand. When I was finished I ask her for change for a $20.00, so I could tip her. She gave me a 10 and two 5's I then asked for 5 ones and she refused she said I work for you; you give more money. I said OK I five ones and she NO I work hard you and took my $10.00. I am still in shock. I don't mind tipping in fact I am a big tipper, but in this case the business lied about having a male masseuse, and could not understand me in the room, but she sure understood more money. My massage therapist was nice enough. The massage itself was okay. But oh! The 1 hour massage you booked? Yeah, it's actually 50 mins apparently? No explanation there. No idea why they advertise 1 hour but then only massage you for 50. Unfortunately there are very few places around here in which you can find last minute availability. Even so-- I'd skip this place.

I offered to pay for the full appointment each time and do a shorter massage. Once she did a shorter massage and didn't charge me the whole amount even though I insisted. The second time I was told no, that she was already doing other things now. This was during the ADHD med shortage and I explained that to them and they still cancelled my future appointments and dropped me as a client, which is their own prerogative but when I asked about that she was also very rude to me about it. Also dropped my husband as a client as well with no explanation to him at all. It really saddened me, because I'm human and life happens but she made me feel really disappointed in myself for not being neurotypical. Again, therapists can choose their clients, but it really bummed me out. I was a monthly client before this, every other week when I could book into her busy schedule. I really looked forward to our massages because I have MS and it was super sad to be dropped. Again, I understand her reasoning I just wish she had been more understanding. I'm sure she doesn't need me as a client because she's always booked.
