My girlfriends and I have been able to schedule. 3 massages at once we were each pleased with our therapist. Both waiting room and treatment room are clean. Both waiting room and treatment room are quiet. I was able to play affirmations during my appointment. My facials and massages have been customized for my needs I have not been disappointed. Insufficient staff and high turnover. I go there for stretches and they've had three different stretch therapists in a year. Bookings for stretches are a month out. The website for booking is useless. If you call for an appointment, get used to leaving messages on an answering machine. The stretches I have had there have been excellent; unfortunately the therapists I've used have decided not to stick around. Don't expect refunds. Instead, expect them to cross-sell you other services or go to one of their other locations. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had previously utilized Massage Envy as I have fibromyalgia and created a good relationship with one of the supervisors there (no longer works there). She was great, they were fine. I cancelled my services when I received a job where health insurance would cover massages. I was told over the phone that I was all set, they would cancel both my membership and the direct withdrawal I had set up and that I was "good to go." A year later I see there is a massage envy automatic debit on my card. I then noticed that (although I check several purchases a month) I had missed seeing they had been charging me for over a year. I called and found they had in fact not cancelled my membership. As there had been many messages accumulated no attempt to receive them, and a clear mistake on their part for not cancelling my membership I felt this should be a no brainer in providing my money back. Nope, the woman on the phone stated her manager would call me back by the end of the week (understandably as it was around $1000 they took) after suggesting she cancel my cancelled membership and allow me more time to use the MANY messages that were accumulated. I expressed to her that I had cancelled over a year ago because I did not need them, I did not need more time, I needed the money they took without my permission from my account. I received no phone call. I then sent a message to their corporate customer service receiving and email from the owner of the Middleton location stating she'd like to call me to talk about it... I provided my number and a good time to call on the day she suggested, and again received no phone call. A week has gone by since then and still no response. I explicitly asked them to stop charging my account and find no reason to have to double check their employees work. They took money from my account without my permission and now have no interest in returning the money they stole. It is SO obvious as I had over 15 massages accumulated and no attempt to retrieve them that it was simply them continuing to charge my account. There were no services rendered yet they have over $1000.00 of my money. Not only am I out the money, I've been lied to twice about receiving any communication in resolving this issue. To me, this is just poor business practice and I can only imagine that these practices spread into other areas of their customer service. Their lack of urgency and irresponsible business practices are awful. I would consider spending the extra money on a local business that cares about their customer interactions. read more

Don't waste your time or money, over priced, not a spa, not a clinic, cheap store front in a strip mall. I received a gift certificate for the holidays. I tried to make an appointment for a massage and was out two months and still no afternoon or evenings appointments available, the only appointment I could get was a "microderm abrasion". The "treatment" lasted 12 minutes and cost $110! It consisted othe "technician washing my makeup off and putting lotion on my face with a wand! The big thing they are pushing is to try and get people to sign a contract for monthly installment payments to the tune of $60 a month! If you have a gift certificate use it soon because my bet is they will not be in business for long, they are a franchise. In the area they are located there are great spas and sports clinics, tough competition for a shoddy business to survive. I did express my experience to Massage Envy. read more

More than a year ago I was talked into the membership, which I have to say buyer beware.( Read all the fine print!!!) In the beginning it was great , scheduling was always flexible for facials and messages. Now I have so many sessions saved, I will never be able to use them. When I call a couple of days in advance they say, " oh we are scheduling 2weeks out." So today I called for an appointment 2 weeks from now and they have nothing available..... How can I ever use my sessions if I can't get in. I am not happy with the schedule availability, they must need more staff. Speaking of staff, all of the facials and massages I have had were wonderful. Very professional and well trained. Reception and scheduling need a lot of help. read more

STAY AWAY! - Not only do you get terrible customer service, but they also do not refund your money when you request it. Hard to work with and just terrible experience all around. NOTE to OWNER, if you cannot meet the customer's needs, you MUST be willing to refund to keep the customer happy! They just may still refer you to friends/family because every situation is different! I have a membership for more than a year. The therapists are awesome and the frontdesk people are very helpful and polite.

I have been a member of Massage Envy for many years. I have received massages and facials from a number of therapists and have never found them rude or rough. The quality of the maessage does vary from one person to another. People need to remember that they need to indicate how deep a message they want, and have a responsibility to communicate with the therapist if it is deeper than you are comfortable with. I requested that a manager email me about my experience because it was not a good one and I still have not heard back from them, I requested they reach out to me about 2 weeks ago. My experience was not at all what I was expecting. I showed up early, as they requested, and the receptionist called me 5 minutes after my appointment to ask if I was still coming even though I texted when I arrived. My massage started 15 minutes late and I didn't get the entire hour that I paid for. The girl who did my massage was not friendly, I could hear her Apple Watch vibrating as she was massaging my neck. She told me to wait for her in the hall after and she never showed up so I just left. Awful experience, would not recommend, and will not ever go back. read more

I prefer to call and speak with a manager first, but after leaving 2 messages and no return call, I am now writing a review. My experience was not a good one. I had to wait, even though I made an appointment. The therapist said he would still honor the paid for amount of time, which he did not. The massage was not relaxing or fulfilling. He seemed nervous and did not make smooth transitions. Overall, I left feeling worse than when I arrived. I would not recommend this place. read more

I have attempted to try Massage Envy numerous times. My schedule does not allow me to plan too far out. Maybe a day or two. I finally get an appointment! The morning of the massage they call and cancel it. The therapist was sick. The next possible availability is in the middle of next January! There are 3 massage envy's in the Madison area. None of them will get my business! Too bad, I was really looking forward to using them. I usually get a massage once a week. read more

Buyer Beware!!! I got a massage from Alex and he pulled so hard on my hands & wrists that now I have nerve damage in my thumbs & fingers. I now have considerable chronic pain. I tried contacting massage envy about it but they never responded to me at all. What a terrible massage! I will never go back there. I will never let a massage therapist work on my hands again. I don't know why Alex thought it was a good idea to pull on my hands/wrists & thumbs/fingers. Talk about a poorly trained therapist. What a terrible experience and what an awful therapist. Terrible! Just Terrible! Update - 07.29.2017 - The massage therapist twisted my thumb so hard that he tore the ligaments in my thumb. Now I'm stuck in a splint with multiple trips to the hand clinic. Doctor says it'll take months to heal. Plus i'm still wearing a brace on the other hand due to nerve damage from the same massage. Staff is always friendly and responsive to requests! Massage styles and pressures always vary by therapists, but it is your responsibility to inform them of your needs! I always go to Alex because I like very firm pressure and I have always enjoyed my massage. I have never had any issues with this location. I do recommend their services read more

Worst facial ever! The esthetician was extremely rude. Total waste of time and money. I told the receptionist about my experience, and she said she would pass it on to the manager. The facial was terrible. The room was cold. Her fingers were like ice. The lotions were freezing cold. She blazed through the session, not massaging the lotions in at all, whipping warm towels on and off my face. When I politely pointed out each thing that was bothering me she told me she couldn't do anything about it and no one has ever complained before. When she began to finish the arms and hands that the massage therapist said was to be completed by her, it was like she was massaging a butterfly. Drawing circles on my skin with her cold fingers. When I asked for more pressure, she claimed it was in her scope of practice to provide this much pressure. She had arthritis, she told me. I stopped her at the elbow, and told her I didn't want to complete the session. I told them at the desk and they defended the therapist saying her hands are just always cold. They charged me full price for the massage and facial, both of which were not completed, and asked me how much I wanted to leave for a tip. When I wanted to talk to the manager, she wouldn't be in until the next day and she never did contact me. Now I have the hurdle of cancelling this membership which I can't find this form on their website anywhere. So much hassle for a two hour session to relax before the holidays.
