I had an amazing chemical peel at Message Envy, Layton. I was greeted by Maury when arrived. The spa was very clean and neat and the staff were all very friendly. I answered a questionnaire about my skin/skincare routine. Aria, the aesthetician, came to the tranquility room and showed me to the procedure room. She went over my questionnaire with me and explained the procedure in detail. After prepping my skin, she detailed each step, made sure I was comfortable, answered questions I had, and gave me post peel instructions with a 7 day skincare system. After two days, the redness dissipated and my face is brighter, has less texture, diminished fine lines, my melasma appeared lighter, and my face has a radiant glow. This place was wonderful. I was getting regular massages from at the Layton location for approximately 1 year, every other week for 90 minutes. It's not as frilly as other smaller, trendy spas, but it's clean, smells great, and even though I usually saw the same therapists each time, if I had to schedule with someone else it didn't change the quality of the massage. Every therapist I saw was good at asking about pressure and concentrating on what I asked for during each session. I've never had a bad experience here. Front Desk was great, therapists were great, and the price was just right. read more

Really friendly front desk staff, easy to find location, and great massage therapists. My sister and I booked a couples massage with Dani and Nicole and were really pleased. Nicole worked on me because I requested a deep tissue massage, and my sister had Dani who she says was perfect. Both Dani and Nicole were professional and friendly. I had an incredible experience at Massage Envy Layton last week. I had a 90 minute massage with Lauren, and it was fantastic. I had a sore back when I came in, and it felt so much better already by the time I walked out. I also tried their new facial waxing treatment with Barb, which was great as well! The massage therapists that work for the Layton Massage Envy are top drawer to be sure, but the office is run by a bunch of unprofessional misfits and it's very sad that the excellent therapists have to lose clients because of the un-professionalism of the front staff. I have left messages, used the online function to request appointments, and i have NEVER received a call back. When you go into the office, the staff are not cordial, and do not look like front help SHOULD look. I'm not talking about the tattoos and/or piercings, I am talking about how they are dressed, carry and represent themselves and the business. I finally got sick of their bored, unfriendly greetings, their general unresponsiveness, the refusal to every return phone calls, or online requests (WHY would you provide it as an option if you're not going to use it?!) and the time or two they screwed up my billing and finally took my business to Riverdale. Now THEY are an office that knows how to treat and receive customers. If Layton Massage Envy wonders why they can't keep their clients, they might want to take a closer look at the front office . . . it is, after all, the first impression any business gives a customer, and your front office never left anything but an unprofessional and lackluster impression on me. If you're going to constantly be cranking up your prices and fees, as a business, you'd better make dang sure, you're upping the quality of your service as well. Take a look at your front staff M.E. Layton, they are making you look very, VERY poor and not worth the price . . . even if your therapists are amazing, it's not worth the hassle to schedule appointments through the group of un-professionals that run the front. read more

I've had a membership at ME for almost 3 years now. It's been pretty easy working with them whenever I had an issue regarding holding my membership, maternity massages, billing, moving, etc. About me - I work at a desk all day infront of a computer at a stressful job and carry a lot of tension in my upper back, neck and shoulders. Plus, I work out 3-4 times a week and am proud new mom of an 8 month old. :) So, when I get spare time I am picky about what I do with it. We recently moved back to Utah and I've been going to Cynthia at the Layton location. Cynthia is the BEST masseuse I've ever been to (and I've been to a couple dozen over my lifetime). She works on 'trigger' points and really gets the knots out. Her techniques are very soothing and purposeful. When I leave I feel relaxed and energized - like my reset button's been pushed. Honestly, I hesitated in writing this review because I don't want to share her, but she really deserves the credit so here I am. I've had other masseuses at ME that are 5 stars as well, but I'd give Cynthia 5+ stars. Hope this helps! read more

We've had similar and awful experiences here to that of other customers voicing their bad experiences in relation to their montly automatic membership program. They are sneaky with signing you up for their automatic membership and pushy about it. It is a joke! And their customer service was poorly handled and not professional. It was all around a bad experience for us. Never again! It is not worth the all the money they cheated us over with and mediocre service they gave. :/ read more

I've been going to this location for a few years now. I have been impressed with the consistency, cleanliness and professionalism I encounter each time I am there for a massage. The front desk staff are always upbeat and great. The therapist I see is very knowledgable and has great technique. She is focused on my well being and really seems to make certain I leave feeling much better. I just returned from a massage from here and all in all, it was a good massage. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet and the price seems right. What I didn't like was getting the hard sell from the man that was totaling my ticket trying to talk me into buying a membership. I felt pressured and resentful which sort of ruined the whole affect of the massage. I didn't buy the membership and I'm not sure if I will be back or not. read more

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! The monthly 'membership' is a racket. I have 5 monthly credits on my account, because it is hard for me to find time with travel to use them up in time. Initially I did not want to do the membership option - I asked if they would put a stop after the initial 6 months so I could catch up on unused credits, and I hate having the monthly obligation and inconvenience. Six months comes and goes and they are still charging me, even though they said at the front desk it would end in September. My bank issues new debit cards, so my payments no longer go through. I'm informed I cannot use my existing credits without an active membership! Seems odd ithey are called 'credits', since they can't be used! I have no 'credits' whatsoever! Fast forward 4 months, I still have not had time to schedule a massage. Today, I think its time for one, so I call. I am now informed in order to use my existing credits, I have to pay for the 4 months I have been 'inactive'. I'm going to be charged $200, earn 4 more 'credits' and will now have 9 credits! They also told me there is a new 'freeze' service where you can freeze your account, and use your built-up credits all for the low monthly FEE of $10. So in order to use my 9 'credits' it will take me 9 months to use those up. All for the price of an additional $90 in monthly 'freeze' fees. That whole racket means I'll have paid almost as much per massage as if I'd just paid for them on-demand without the membership! Save yourself the hassle and just go to any number of the local massage outlets where you can get just as good of a massage for less than the membership price to begin with. I'm going to eat the cost of the lost massage 'credits' and just tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague, and instead find a good local place to refer them to. I'll be sure to update with a new review when I find somewhere worth paying for. Too bad, because the facility and the practitioners are nice, but the business policy is reprehensible. Oh, and my fiancee who has been paying for years now has cancelled her policy and moving on with me. Good luck. read more

Impossible to get in for an appointment. They mislead you to sign a contract for a membership with the hope to get in when you need to only to tell you to book 2 weeks in advance and in the morning. Right...because I know when I'll be in pain..and I have a normal job working days so....guess I'll never be able to use this $60/month pass. thanks, massage envy! We recently signed up for the Massage Envy membership. This past weekend I had Thomas for my second appointment. He was professional, courteous, and friendly. When we were talking about problem areas he mentioned my last appointment. It had been several months and I was very impressed that he read over my file before the appointment. I've been getting professional massages for more than 15 years and his draping skills are some of the best I have ever seen. I am already looking forward to my session next month. My only complaint about this location is the excessive noise coming from the break room. read more

They are less than 1 star. I had a membership for a year and the massages just kept adding on because I couldn't get there enough because I can't drive. They say the only way you can cancel is if you move or get a doctors note. I had a few massages left and then I could finally cancel. I was more than ready! I broke my collarbone from a seizure and I could barely move my arm. I called and told them exactly what happened and she said she would work with me. I came in a few months later with doctor's paperwork, and she said the only way I could get those massages back was if I signed up for another membership. I didn't know what else to do, so I was stupid enough to let her talk me in to sign up for another 6 months, but I read online that you can cancel within 30 days. So I try to cancel, and they say I can't because I auto-renewed. Don't ever sign up! You can't quit because they are huge scam artists! read more
