Massage Envy is located in a convenient spot. There's Michael's, Below Five, and Ulta. At one end of the shopping center, there's Target and some eating places. At the other end, there's Total Wine, Diaso, and At Home, as well as lots of eating places and yummy treats. To be honest, I was a skeptic at first. I went here because I received a gift card for a massage, stretch, or facial. I didn't see any reviews on two available masseuses, but that's okay. Going in with no expectations can be a blessing in disguise. I schedule a massage with Dekenia with a rapid tension relief added service. I chose Dekenia because she did a variety of pressures. I thought the website was very informative and easy to use. You do need to place a CC on file, but you won't be charged until the service is completed. Arriving at ME, I thought it was clean and organized. Since I was a first-timer to ME, I had to complete a completely understandable body assessment. I'm glad that the receptionist assisted me in completing the assessment. Although it's very straightforward, it's good to omit any misinterpretations. As I walked into the waiting area, it was clean, minimalist, and comfortable seats. Now... don't expect a luxury experience - dressing room, showers, amenities. I was a bit confused when I walked into the room. Is there a room with a robe? Where can I get some water? Then I realized that I, literally, sit and wait for the masseuse. DeKenia is a delight. She provides a positive energy and a great attitude. We discussed the assessment and areas that need more attention. You undress in the room and go under the covers. Straight to the point. Like it. The massage went great! DeKenia was able to get most of the knots out of my shoulders and neck. In the end, I felt more relaxed and had more movement in my problem areas. During checkout, I thought the receptionist could have updated me on the charges. She did mention the amount of the service and the gift card, but it would have been helpful if she could have said "Now the total is XYZ." The total charge on your card is ABC. I wasn't given an option to be given a receipt until I asked about it. I feel like I didn't have to ask, but it is what it is. Overall, I'd go back to this location only for DeKenia. I would be interested to see how other receptionists interact. So... until next time :) read more

So I've been to many massage parlors, and many Massage Envy's. Never have I experienced the quality of massage that I received today. Hannah is the absolute best, guys!! She's a super knowledgable therapist and expresses genuine interest in learning and identifying the areas that hurt, are tense, and why. She offered stretches for some areas, and I trust her recommendations. I came here on a transferred credit from my mom as a birthday gift, and ended up leaving as a member. I know!! Whaaat? Baby, what is you doing?! They didn't even try to push membership at all like other Massage Envy's do. I asked THEM! First off, when you call to schedule an appointment you're not talking to the store. It's a call center who doesn't know anything about the massage therapist. I stayed on the phone with the customer service rep for over ten minutes explaining that I didn't want a bad experience and that I wanted deep pressure. I got booked with the total opposite. I complained to the manger and she was totally against giving me my hour credit back. I then called the call center where the manger listen to the call, confirmed it was their mistake. Yet, still denied me of a credit. I wouldn't recommend Massage Envy to no one. In fact after this visit three family members will be canceling their membership. Do not sign anything for Massage Envy! They won't tell you this up front, but they lock you into an impossible contract. If a business requires a medical note for cancellation, run the other direction!!! The customer is the enemy and they just want your money. I have a medical condition that caused me to have a a really bad flare up after my last massage and the manager refused to let me cancel without a doctor's note. My doctor is the head of neurology at UTSW... I'm not going to bother her for a note for Massage Envy. I have Parkinsonism and was having a horrible tremor fit while the manager stood there stone cold and told me I needed to get a note, in front of other customers. I obviously have a legitimate medical excuse. I barely can leave my house but was trying to tie up loose ends today before I have a medical procedure next week which will put me completely out of commission for 6 weeks. The manager actually suggested I just ask my doctor when I have my procedure next week... really?! I'm not going to be thinking about my stupid membership before my spinal procedure!! This should be the last thing on my mind right now. It just goes to show they don't trust the customer. I told her that the girl who signed me up specifically said I could cancel if my body reacted poorly. The manager basically gave me the "if you read the contract" line. I'm sorry that I actually trusted what your sales rep told me!! PS this so called contract was nowhere in the folder they gave me OR in my email like the manager claimed. I called and asked them to email me a copy... crickets. I can't even give a copy to my attorney because they won't send it to me. Furthermore, I posted a rant on Facebook and got SEVERAL comments from people who also had problems canceling for very legitimate reasons. Front desk staff had no sympathy for my mistake, and tried to charge a cancellation fee. When I asked if they offer messages for pregnant women, all I got was an offer to take 50% off. Then they called my wife, who explained she didn't want to reschedule because she's pregnant. The call ended with them saying "I hope you feel better." Comical. This was our first time to this location, I took my wife here and was not disappointed. This place is amazing, we had a great time getting relaxed and unwound. All the staff we encountered from the front desk to the masseurs were very nice and helped us with any questions or concerns we had. We were even greeted by the owner. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to be taken care of. We arrived 10 minutes early as it was our first time there and assumed we needed to fill out paperwork. Afterwards, we received phenomenal massages. We talked about my pain points, preferences and got going. I have always enjoy coming to massage envy at other locations but I will never be back to this one. They have a manager named, Joy, who has very poor manners and doesn't know how to manage. Would leave 0 stars if I could. Do not sign up for a membership. It's a complete scam. I could never make an appointment on a weekend and there is extremely limited availability. The managers suggestion was to book multiple in case I need to cancel or reschedule. I froze my card since I could never make an appointment and called this week to cancel. She told me I had 3 days to use 10 credits which is $700. I told her that's impossible because I can never make an appointment. She said I could pay the monthly rate of $70 to reactivate since my account suspended since May. I explained I'm not going to pay another $70 to hopefully get an appointment. I called another location to cancel my appointment for a week from now since I can't use my credits for it. The girl asked me why Glade Parks didn't offer to freeze my membership for 3 months so I could use my credits before canceling. I didn't know that was an option. I called back today to inquire and the manager said my since my membership was canceled I couldn't do that. She instead offered me another 12 month commitment membership. You think you're saving money by signing up for a membership but you're not. I'm throwing $700 down the drain. Bad business practice and no customer service. read more

I started my membership at the ME in Las Colinas and was never fully satisfied there. I moved to Euless and they opened up Glade Parks. I started going there and fell in love. The atmosphere is nice, the people are helpful, and my girl Shayna is THE best thing since sliced bread. She has the sweetest, professional personality. She listens to your "aches and pains" and works them out. I recently had a 90 minute session with her and her pressure remained constant the entire time. All the while providing a soothing, relaxing experience. I definitely recommend this location. Two thumbs up. 5 stars. read more

No one at this location seems to know how to close or freeze an account. I have been told twice that I would receive an email with a form to fill out and send back. I never received this email. I was told in May 2019 that I could not close the account because it had not been charged yet because it was a new account. That did not make any sense, but whoever I speaking too did not seem very well trained (or they were well trained?). I have tried to close or freeze this account since May 2019, but nothing ever seems to happen. I would not recommend to anyone to join as a member. This was my first time to a Massage Envy. I was welcomed when I arrived and was given an explanation of what they offer and a tour. We sat down and discussed areas I'd prefer extra attention to and past medical history to avoid contraindications. My massage was AMAZING. Really enjoyed my 90 minute deep tissue! In fact, I really wanted to go back but I have rated a 4 because you're really pressured to sign up for extras, for your next massage, the automatic monthly debit, etc. From the moment you walk in, until the very last minute you leave, someone is constantly asking you to make more appointments. Truthfully, had I not been so pressured about it, I'd probably go again. The prices tend to be on the higher side compared to "non chain" spas, as well. read more

She said she called to get info to see how they can do a better job and when I informed her that the massage I got was not a full body massage, she told me it was the standard of all Massage Envy facilities. I disagreed with her and told her that was not true, as I had been to Massage Envy several times and got a great massage. When I told her I was not looking for an undraped or an Asian massage. She said I do not know what an Asian massage was. She is in the industry, she should understand this? After her talking over me several times, I told her if she wanted to know how to improve their service as she claimed at the beginning of the call, she needed to listen and stop talking over me. The best service I have had in sooo long. Over the last 2 months we have been to this location twice and received exceptional service. The employees at the front here go way out of their way to ensure the customer is taken care of! A month ago one of the employees noticed my husband and I were there together and took the initiative to arrange for us to be in the couples room without us even mentioning it. Today when we walked up an employee opened the door for us as we walked up and seemed very positive and excited to see us.
