Conflicted on my review here- My husband & I scheduled a couples massage for our anniversary. We arrived & we were 10 minutes early & felt rushed thru our intake. We were then taken to our room & asked to disrobe etc. once we were on our tables (undressed) I noticed the floor was dirty... there was trash etc & dust ... I've been to many day spas & I've never been to a dirty one. We then had our massages & they did a great job but the massage was about 40min (we requested an hour) and we were asked to get dressed & offered water on the way out. Then before we were allowed to pay they tried to sell us a membership & seemed offended that we didn't want to buy it. My overall experience was great. I was greeted upon entering, and it took no time to fill out the required paperwork. I did have to sit in the waiting area a little past my appointment time, and I was only given a 50 minute massage vs the 60 minute massage I purchased. Overall cleanliness was as expected. Was getting what I thought was a month to month massage plan for 70 dollars a month and decided to discontinue around 7 months in because 1. The massages were not good and 2. I wasn't using their services. I contacted them and was told I was under contract until September of 2024. Problem is I NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT!!! I never signed anything, nor was was the word contract mentioned. Long story short. I have 4 massages that I've paid for that they will not honor because as I was told " I cancelled my contract ". When I told the manager this all she was interested in was getting my credit card info to charge me for the months that weren't paid. And here's the kicker, they saw that 8 years ago my wife and I got a massage there and my wife gave her credit card info FOR THAT MASSAGE ONLY!! They saved that card on file and charged her card for my supposedly past due membership fee!!! She's livid. I'm glad I never signed a contract with them from the horror stories I'm seeing on the internet since this ordeal. I stopped by this location to find out if they have a massage therapist experienced in lymphatic drainage massage. I was told by the manager Angel was experienced and an appointment was scheduled. I went for my appointment but what I experienced was not someone who is skilled in Lymphatic drainage massage. She hung my affected arm off the table for a prolonged period of time which shouldn't happen and the pressure she used was much too light for lymphatic massage. The massage was relaxing overall and I enjoyed it, however Angel is not someone I would recommend for lymphatic massage. Upon checkout, I asked if Angel performed deep tissue massage and was told she did, so I scheduled another appointment with her. I received a call from the manager telling me Angel had some openings in her schedule. I politely declined, since I had an appointment, and I explained Angel's technique was too light for effective lymphatic drainage massage as the school of thought on pressure has changed over the years and using light pressure is not effective. I thanked her for her call but declined. I received an email notification that she canceled my deep tissue massage appointment. This was my first visit to Massage Envy in Flowood. I got lucky and chose an exceptional massage therapist when I booked through the app. I loved and thoroughly enjoyed my massage with Angela W. She is very professional and has great techniques without causing pain. I feel super relaxed and my body feels relieved of tension. I will be going back to her! Only negative thing is that the bed was creaky while she was working on my back. Afterwards, it didn't make much to any noise. I would recommend for them to get that bed fixed or replaced. read more

(Flowood, MS location) If I could rate with 0 stars, I definitely would. The manager presented me with the sell of getting a massage on a monthly basis and that I would be charged upon services every month. I specifically asked if I could cancel at anytime and the manager stated "Yes". I asked again just to confirm. She (manager) went on to say this is not a contract and you can cancel the membership at anytime. Two weeks later, I called and requested to speak to the manager. The front desk staff asked what was my reason for calling and asked for my number because the manager was busy. I waited a few hours and no call back. So I called again and still the manager was not available. Later that evening, the manager finally returned my call. I explained to her that I was sick with Covid and that a family member had passed and that I would not be able to come in to get a massage and that I needed to cancel membership. Instead of fulfilling my request, she stated that she could freeze my account and that I could come in the following month. My response was "Will I get charged for the current month?" She said yes, you will be charged and then we can put a freeze on the account. I said, "NO! I do not want to be charged for services that I won't be able to receive. Just cancel my membership." She continues to try to persuade me to keep the membership and I continued to request her cancel the membership. She then agreed to my request and stated that the membership would be cancelled. Fast forward to 1/29. I received a bank notification for a $70 transaction from Massage Envy. Indeed the membership was not cancelled like I had been told. Again, I called back to Massage Envy and ask for the manager and of course she was "busy" in meetings. I was told that she would call back. And of course she did not return my call. I left message after message and no response. So I went on their website and left a message. Today, 1/30, I called back and requested to speak with the manager and finally spoke to her. I think her name was Taz. I explained to her how I was charged even after I had spoke to her to cancel the membership. She pretended like she did not know what was going on and stated that the charge was accurate and that I had signed a year long contract. She lied when explaining this initially. So I asked to speak with the person above her. She said that he (Chris Taylor) would call me back. I said no thanks and that I would hold for him. She said no, and that I could not hold. While I was still talking, she hang up the phone in my face. LOL!!! And so I called right back and asked to speak directly to Chris Taylor. I explained to him what as going on. I told him that the manager was very unprofessional and that she lied. He was trying to defend her which is cool. But he was just as rude and unprofessional as the manager. I requested that I receive a refund and that my membership be cancelled. He stated that I would receive a refund and that my membership would indeed be cancelled. As I was saying something else to him, he hang up the phone on me as well! LOL! These two, Chris Taylor and the manager are a joke! Horrible customer service and horrible professionalism. I've been getting massages for a very long time. Kathy/Flowood- has recently moved over from the Maywood Mart location. Thank Goodness. It was one of the Greatest massages ever. I was so relaxed that I couldn't get off the table. She knew exactly where my pressure points were and applied the correct pressure without me saying a word. If you like a strong, firm massage, don't hesitate to ask for Kathy. Of course, I scheduled another massage before I left and there wasn't any opening's for Kathy for 3.5 weeks. While I cannot comment on the massage experience, since that was apparently not scheduled, I can comment on the service/professionalism of the front desk. I made a last minute appointment yesterday hoping to get in yesterday but was pushed to today- which is fine. I arrived early, eager for my hour and a half deep tissue massage. Upon arrival, it was discovered that I did not have an appointment and that they had absolutely no record of me at all (having called, that is). I confirmed that I called this location based on my call history. At this point, I would have expected some sort of apology or anything - SOMETHING! Instead, the three ladies at the front stared at me dumbfounded until I said, "are yall going to do anything?!" NOTHING. I did not cause a scene and instead decided to walk out as these ladies did not even attempt to rectify the situation. Whoever runs this place needs to train their employees on customer service. Apparently there has been no improvement in how this Salon operates since the reviews of 2010. The girl at the desk with her new braids did not know how to sell a gift certificate for a 49.00 massage and a 59.00 facial. Its not 125.00. It should be 108.00, unless someone lied to me in school. Danielle the entry clerk was not helpful in offering options after Ashley stated she had carpel tunnel and would not be applying deep pressure. Why was I not notified ... bought my own products day before (Murad) what Ashley said she used on me. I bought these to use today and Danielle stated it was against protocol they had to use their products...excuse me I thought that was what they used...this is why I bought them. What products did they use!!! Came home and washed my face with the Murad products I bought...Would not suggest to anyone to go there.... On top of that a 45 minute facial!! For my first time and as a gift from my coworker, I wasn't pleased! I scheduled an appointment at the beginning of December and the lady took my card number and scheduled my appointment over the phone. I called back a hour later to reschedule and the lady said they didn't have me down for an appointment at 7:00p.m. because they were booked for that day. I asked the young lady who was responsible for writing my card number down and where did they put my personal information, because that's not professional. She stated she didn't know who did it, but she could reschedule me for the 26th of December and I would get a call the day before to remind me of my appointment. On December 26th I decided to reschedule due to the fact I didn't receive a call and I got the time mixed up. I asked the young lady if anyone was going to even attempt to call people to remind them about their appointment since Sunday was a Holiday and they're closed. The lady told me no and I could have left a message on the answering machine. OH WOW! How unprofessional I thought. So at this point, I'm upset. The young lady stated that I would have to pay since I didn't reschedule within 24 hours, but how when no one called. They should've called Friday! Were you guys open Sunday? That's when she stated I should've left a voicemail. So the young lady rescheduled me for Thursday and told me I would have to pay half when I come Thursday, which should've been $10 ONLY! After 1 minute, someone called me back at 4:30p.m. to remind me about my appointment that was suppose to been on that day at 5:00p.m. I told the lady that I just spoken with someone and she rescheduled me for Thursday already. She said ok. After I hung up, she charged my card. I called back explaining to her that I just got off the phone with some lady and she told me I only had to pay half Thursday when I walked in and that's not what I was just told. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me the manager wasn't in and I could speak with him tomorrow at 8:00a.m. I said ok and hung up. Three minutes later, someone is calling me back saying they're going to refund me my money when I come in Thursday. Thursday came and I spoke with the manager Carl Reid. The manger handed me a receipt stating he had refunded me back my money on Monday, December 26, 2016. I waited until the following week and still my money hasn't been refunded. I even called the bank and they stated nothing is pending. The customer service is horrible and the girls they have working at the front desk likes to brush things under the rug. They need to understand that this is a business and they should know the policy and procedures of the company, because one minute a worker is saying this over the phone and someone else is saying something else.
