I had a facial appointment this evening with Zoe, and it was an all-around great experience. I used to be a member about a year ago, but I'm not currently--my sister, who is a member, generously shared one of her credits with me, so we booked together. When we arrived, there were a few customers at the front desk, but the staff still took the time to greet and acknowledge us, which was a nice touch and made us feel welcome. Zoe came to get me shortly after and was incredibly kind and professional. She really took the time to listen to my skin concerns and tailored the facial based on what I needed. She's clearly very knowledgeable and skilled at what she does. My skin felt amazing afterward, and I appreciated how comfortable and cared for she made me feel throughout the session.I'm already looking forward to booking with Zoe again in the future. I've been coming here for massages for 12 years (before they moved to this location), but it may be time to look elsewhere. My co-workers once gave me a nice gift certificate for a group gift at a baby shower... and I just kept coming in because it was my monthly "ME TIME". Over the years, the value I got from these massages just keeps decreasing. I used to have a few favorite massage therapists, but now there's only one therapist that gives good (not great) massages. A long time ago, there were one or two therapists that I considered to be almost as good as "luxury spa" therapists, but this hasn't been true in the last 5 years (not even close). I have enjoyed the ability to make appointments up to 6 months in advance. That works very well for me, so I just call to make appointments every 3 months or so. If something came last minute , I only have to give 24+ hrs notice. They've only had to cancel on me 3 times during the past 12 years, so I'm not sure this happens as much as what the other reviews might make you think. The building is nice and the treatment rooms are always clean and comfortable. I've tried two facials here, but was disappointed in both. I've also tried a few of their massage upgrades like hot stone or stretching, but I don't think it's worth the extra $$. If you need an easy system for monthly massages, or if you often travel domestically and want massages in different states/cities, this may work well for you. If you're looking for a luxury spa type of massage, this place will not meet your needs. read more

I had a massage several days ago. The front desk staff was lovely. After the massage, I reported to them that while I was receiving my massage, he sat on the table. I have had a lot of massages and I have NEVER had someone sit on the table. I filled out the emailed survey after the massage and asked to be contacted, no one did so that leads me to the conclusion that they think that behavior is acceptable. I've been a member for years. Always tough to get an appt, but lately the massages have been bad too. Cold hands, weak, don't listen kind of bad. For $86/hour for a member, that's terrible. You can get this deal most places without being a member and paying in advance. All the good people leave or are impossible to get an appt. I think I'm done. They charged my massages on my friend's account She found that out on her own. No one called to explain to me what happened. My friend had to deal with it herself. Massage Envy will not fix it so I paid my friend back. On a different issue, manager must have their preferred working hours when she texted me after business hours about my card. This business makes it easy to sign up and you can book appointments online but makes it hard to cancel appointments (no option to cancel online through their app) Cancellation of membership is even harder. You must submit the cancellation form at a certain time frame even though you agree to pay up until the required period) Poor customer service. Don't spend your money here. read more

AWFUL!!! Do not book a massage here! They will take your money when they have no right to because of THEIR scheduling errors! Received a vm today saying that they need to move my appointment from 11:30 to 11:00am. No biggie but when I called them back they said that someone else had already taken the time slot and that my appointment had been canceled. Not only was my appointment canceled because I was busy and couldn't answer my phone now my wife will have to cancel her appointment after planning a nice Sunday day out for the both off us. I could maybe understand them canceling my appointment the day of but my appointment is still 6 weeks out which makes it even more frustrating. Keep in mind that Massage Envy is booked out 2 months so me and my wife will have to wait til sometime in November now. Oh. My. GOSH!! I can't believe this place is staying in business!! The customer service when I first walked in was very warm, friendly and inviting. Little did I know, things were about to take a nose dive for the worst!! First off, I am a 17 year old girl, who got a Massage Envy gift card for Christmas last year. I have never had a massage before and my sister-in-law decided it would be a good day to get massages together and bond. I finally got the chance to use my gift card with my busy, BUSY schedule! I requested my reservation on a Friday afternoon on line. They prompted that they would call me to confirm the reservation. Finally comes Monday afternoon, and I have still not heard a single word from anyone there. So I took matters into my own hands and called them back, to confirm my reservation. They said they never got my request, but I had the confirmation email!! Not a problem, so they just scheduled my appointment. Meanwhile, its Tuesday morning (morning of our massage), we drove all the way out to Massage Envy (20 minute car ride) walk in the door, fill out paper work, and they look at me and say "oh... we need a parental signature since you are under 18." Ummm.... you NEVER told me! Even though I gave you my birth date before the appointment!!!!!! Then the woman behind the counter gave us the guilt trip on how her Masseuse won't get paid because we have to reschedule!! It wasn't my fault that they never informed me of this policy! It doesn't even say anything about having a parent signature on the website! UGH! "I'll do this this one time for you." What a prick. I'm cancelling my membership, and do not recommend a Massage Envy membership at any location. Appointments are unavailable. I have 7 hours built up that I'm unable to use. Thats about $450.00 that I've paid, and they get to keep (per their policy), because I pay monthly but am unable to schedule an appointment. my husband scheduled a prenatal massage for me about a month ago. first time at massage envy. I got a call 2 mins before my scheduled appointment letting me know that the lady that was supposed to give me the massage was sick and unable to show. They offered me a complimentary foot scrub and rescheduled the appointment for a week later. The second appointment came and this time I made it to massage envy and checked in for my appointment only to find out that the same lady cancelled again. Apparently she quit last minute. I live 25 mins away. Im pregnant and uncomfortable and wasted my gas twice now to come out for an appointment that never ended up working out. I still would've made a third appointment but I didn't because not one person sitting at the front desk, representing Massage Envy, thought to apologize for the trouble I went through. Something as simple as say "im sorry about the inconvenience. I can set up an appointment at our closest location with prenatal massage available." Instead, they told me it was cancelled again and went back to typing on their computers and completely ignored me and helped the next person that walked in. I said "okay.. you guys have been super helpful. you can go ahead and take my credit card off my file." I get a massage every week. I spend a lot of money getting them and i tip well above 20% for good service. Ive been working in the customer service industry for over ten years. This place 3 stars and it's only because of the front desk ladies. My therapist wasn't bad but his personal hygiene made the experience sort of unpleasant. I think that for a person who deal with others peoples body your appearance and body odor should be tolerable. I was trying to explain my membership at Massage Envy to a co-worker. Finally, she brightened and said "Oh, it's like the Cost Cutters of massage." BINGO! It is. I mean, it gets the job done. And like Cost Cutters, you take a risk when you go in, depending on which person you are going to have work on you that day. I've had some GREAT massages there, and I've had some just OK ones. The price and the convenience are what keeps me coming there. With a membership, I can get 1-2 massages a month without breaking the bank, and with the volume of therapists plus the extended hours they have, it pretty much guarantees I can get a massage whenever I need one. They offer a "Relaxation Room" to wait in before your massage person comes to find you. The tables are comfortable, the sheets are soft and clean. They have table warmers, if you want. They bring you water after your massage and encourage you to "hydrate and take it easy." Of note, I've tried some of the adjunct services like aromatherapy and hot stones. They were really not worth the extra money. I think that sort of thing is best left to a massage therapist who has been specially trained and uses the products on a regular basis. I won't post the names of the good massage therapists, because I'm selfish and want to make sure I can get appointments when I want them :P read more

I don't usually complain but Massage Envy in Eagan disappoints me. I cancelled my 1 hr massage but they called me at the exact time my appt had been scheduled wondering why I wasn't there. I told them I cancelled by phone 2 weeks prior. I should have wondered why they didn't send me a cancellation text but thought since I called them directly, it was cancelled. They charged me for a 1/2 hour and refused to believe I called them. I will never go to this Eagan one again. The manager was rude and tried to make me feel like I was the stupid one for not checking my text for a confirmation of my cancelation. If you like spending money for a service you didn't get, then this is the place for you. They are way too busy, which makes them run behind for their appointments, but don't worry, they will make sure to end yours right on time, even though they started 15 minutes late. Oh, but don't forget, they are more than happy to overcharge for that, because they don't pro-rate. I am not the kind of person to leave Yelp reviews, but am so disappointed in my Massage Envy experience that I felt I should. I have had two massages at this location. Both were very different - the first was not enough pressure for me and the other was deep tissue. My second massage was good and the therapist was really friendly (only reason that I'm leaving any stars). I wanted to make sure I found a therapist I liked before committing to a membership and was actually planning to join once I checked the budget. I'm leaving two stars because the front desk staff was horrible both times (okay really just one receptionist). I expected to be given some pressure to sign up for the membership but this was excessive and so uncomfortable that I never want to go back. What's the point of having a relaxing massage if the whole time you are trying to pay for it you are being spoken to in a way that leaves you feeling so frustrated? I said 'I'm not ready to join' a minimum of three times just while checking out the second visit (which doesn't include the number of times I had to say 'no' checking in, or during the check-in check-out process on my first visit). One of the times I said that I needed to check with my husband first before making that kind of a financial commitment and the receptionist accusingly replied 'you didn't after your first visit?' How many times does a person need to say 'no' to just get through paying their bill?? If the front desk staff calmed down and didn't push so hard I would probably be a member, but instead I'm willing to pay extra and find somewhere else that I don't have to psyche myself up to get out the door. read more

Please don't go to these chains! First off all I wanted was a 30 minute massage, and I found one here for a cheap price. I felt like everyone was a robot that spoke to me. They told me you get 5 minutes to get undressed then another 5 minutes to get dressed, so your massage turns out to be 20 minutes for $35. Then when it was over I had someone talk to me for 15 minutes about signing up a membership. Isn't the point of a massage to leave relaxed. This location is not worth your time or money. I have been a member here since they opened and now I can't get into see a therapist unless I book the appointment 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Even when I do that the therapist continually cancels on me. (3 out of my last 4 appointments). This location is also very poorly managed. I have requested a phone call from the manager to discuss these cancellations for three weeks now, 4 requests in all, with no response. This is no way to run a business. Front desk staff are very nice. I have had about 6 massages here, with 6 different people and thought 1 was OK at best. Shes not even there anymore. The staff changes often! One woman was so rude I couldn't believe it the pressure HURT really bad and she was not willing to let up, said she does not do medium or light pressure. I didn't appreciate the baseball size bruises left on me. Might work for some but I was not ok with it. Their only goal is to get you to be a member, which is a rip off deal, my massage also ended earlier then the 90 mins from the time i entered the room to leaving the room was less then 90! I was gifted a massage from my sister that's a member but she canceled her membership so they canceled my gifted massage (remind you she already paid for the massage) However if you can drive to Woodbury HealthEast has massages, the total price is included because they don't accept tips, the massage is by someone well trained in a medical aspect, and they are AMAZING. Not a mistake I would make again. I went in for my first massage, following the massage which was good, I was asked to sign up for a contract. In my endorphin doped state, I signed up. Little did I know it is impossible to get out the contract. In addition there are many many rules. Extra fees for everything. If you show up late, you get a fee tagged on. My experienced at Massage Envy in Eagan began very rocky and ended the same way. The therapists are generally good - Ty and Ryan are great! But the administrative piece of it is horrible. They lied to me; took quite a bit of my money without providing service, and I could go on. Please be aware they will give you a high pressure sales job after your first massage and you are putty in their hands. Again - there are several therapists and front desk people who are great - but a lot of my other experiences there negated the positive affect of the massage.
