One star is one star too many. My girlfriend received a gift card for massage envy a good while ago. Booked her appointment at this Massage Envy and told the employee about her gift card. No problem, come on! She drove 30 minutes to the appointment only to be told that her gift card expired six months ago. What happened to the money spent on the gift card?? Massage Envy banked it. The staff wasn't apologetic, didn't make any attempt to retain her business nor did they care that the day before they told her it would be fine. And to make it even more fun, the employee wanted to charge her for the massage she scheduled anyway. It's apparent that the employees have no fiduciary interest in the success of the business because their customer service is pathetic. Spend your hard earned money supporting locally owned and operated businesses. Certainly don't support this one. read more

I worked in a day spa for 3 years as a massage therapist so I can't help but to judge every massage place I go to. I woke up Friday morning unable to walk upright and knew I had to do something quickly so I reluctantly booked an appointment at Massage Envy. Little did I know, I was about to have the massage of my life. It is amazing how the human touch is so healing and I am happy to say Todd was a perfect match. He has amazing hands and my tight muscles and sideways walk was just what he fixed. I chose an hour massage and wish I extended the time considering I didn't want to get off the table! I went for the deep tissue massage and while I am sensitive, he was thorough on every inch of my back, even stretching out my sciatica. I was impressed how soft his touch was yet he managed to work out every kink and knot! We went through some stretches and heat therapy tricks and I was on my way. The next morning my back felt like I had been through the war but I was upright and even went for a run, something I haven't done in almost a week. I can do without the car salesman speech at check out about joining their "club" but I was so too dazed so it didn't phase me. I was disappointed when I booked an appointment on September 20th for our monthly girls spa day (appointment scheduled for 10/21) only to find out on October 1st my 4pm appointment was cancelled because the therapist wasn't going to be in. Normally, you would expect that another therapist would cover the appointment that I had scheduled. However, the Massage Envy Acworth Representative just said, "the therapist will not be here and you can rebook at a different time". Where is the customer service???? I explained this was a monthly spa day and I needed appointments for 3 not 2. She did not try to search for an alternative time or offer any assistance. I was asked; " so are you cancelling"? I made an appointment yesterday and when I arrived, manager informed me that I did NOT have an appointment. Did NOT offer any compensation except to reschedule. Why would I after this experience? Manager acted like she didn't care she disappointed a potiential client. I suspect that if I was the same color skin as the manager my appointment would have been found or a adequate solution found. Before I start, this is in no way a reflection of just this massage envy so that's why this isn't a 3 Star review. If I could leave a review on just massage envys customer service as a whole, I would give you guys a 1 Star. I got a facial at this location and for the most part it was great, but I wasn't happy with the fact that I had products left in my hair, on my nose, in my nose and on my eyelid. It put a dent in my day as I had to come home and wash this all out. But the customer service part of massage envy, SUCKS! I had a $100 gift card I couldn't apply to my visit because the person who bought it for me missed an appointment so they decided to take the funds off of my gift card to apply to her debt. I think that's a little ridiculous. I've called numerous times and each time it has told me I'm calling out of business hours, which I'm not. I'd love to go back to get a facial and a massage but I can't continue to give a company business when they don't care for the dissatisfaction on I have already reached out to corporate twice with no response. read more

Let me start by saying "I am not a fan of massages" or I wasn't until today! I have never had a massage where I was relaxed and walked away thinking "Wow, I can't wait to do that again". When I went to Massage Envy today that all changed. The front counter staff is so welcoming and friendly. My massage therapist KENNY was AMAZING! I have some serious shoulder, neck and back pain caused by sitting at a desk all day and an old injury. Kenny did such a great job that I can now lift my right arm over my head without pain. I haven't been able to do that in YEARS. He was very knowledgeable and seemed to have a genuine desire to "fix" me. He took great care to make sure that he wasn't using too much or too little pressure. I walked out feeling like a million bucks and can't wait to go back!!!! read more

Overall a good place. I'm used to self employed massage therapists that generally have a vast knowledge of massage techniques. I went to a massage envy before and it wasn't anything special, this location is pretty good though! The massages have been great, although I have had issues at the front counter. read more

Reasons NOT to support this business: 1. Practice deceiving business practices. They told me over the phone that a gift card from another location would be valid at this location. Got there and after the service was told they would not accept it. 2. Manager and owner did nothing to rectify the situation. 3. Received 3 phone calls and one email to confirm a massage appt -- way too many! 4. The front staff talk to you as if you are 12 years old. 5. Why are there so many front staff sitting around chatting while the therapists have to change their own tables? The several therapists I used were excellent. None of this is their fault. I did my research and this location seemed to have the best reviews in Cobb...I'm here to tell you they lived up to the hype. I didn't even feel pressured to join the club. Not happy with this location!! Customer service has much to be desired!!! Scheduled a chemical peel. Not until I was almost done with the peel was I notified that the "complimentary" after care kit that is advertised in the chemical peel brochure was not available, but they had the FULL sIzed products you could BUY... Talk about bait and switch. They did not bother to call me in advance to tell me they didn't have the kit in stock. When I asked about it to the manager afterwards the response was just"Sorry we don't have it". No offer was made to compensate whatsoever for THEIR lack of communication and preparation for their new oro. They just wanted me to say "oh well..." I had to push and say " so what are you going to do for the unhappy customer?!" The manager had to call her Operations manager to discuss. They offered to call and see if the kit was available at other nearby locations but it wasn't. Finally they offered to comp the chemical peel. I ask if I still get the kit when it's available? "We'll put you on a list to be called when they come in...." That was Monday. It's Friday and no call. I call and they tell me the kit still isn't available. UPDATE: OVER TWO WEEKS LATER AND I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN CONTACTED REGARDING THE MISSING KIT. On top of this, a week prior I was there for a facial. I had a coupon given by this store a few years earlier on a weekend "spin the wheel" event. I had found it in an old purse. There was no expiration date on it. They said they couldn't honor it. I said it was valid regardless of time passed because there was no expiration date. Again the manager called her Operations manager. She came out saying it was so old... I insisted they honor it as it had no expiration date and it was given from THIS LOCATION!! They did honor it after a lot of push from me but it was like pulling teeth on a viscous old dog. read more

Several years ago, I was ready to leave ME after my first therapist moved out of the area after having been a member for about two years. When I came in to cancel my membership, it was Mgr. Wendy who literally saved the day...and my membership! She gently recommended another therapist she considered would be a good one for me and I agreed to give it a second try. Wendy was that good. I have never looked back. Wendy is the adult "glue" who holds this location together...at least that is the way I see the picture. For her, I have been most grateful. Thanks, Wendy! I received a 90 minute massage as a gift from my husband for our anniversary. I had the massage on Sunday, September 14th, and I have to say, it was a great experience from beginning to end. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient, and the place was clean and well organized, but the best part by far was Jeremy, my therapist. He is very talented, and was able to detect and resolve all of my problem areas without me having to say a word. I asked for deep tissue, and he delivered, but I did not experience any pain or discomfort. I would highly recommend this Massage Envy location to anyone, and look forward to my next massage with Jeremy. Overall, it was an outstanding experience. read more
