Having felt terrible since this past Friday, January 10, I went to this facility, since all the Harvard Health HMO's except for Kenmore were closed, and I just didn't feel like going all the way there. The ladies understood I had a terrible respiratory ailment, and had me fill out an IPad. Afterwards, I had a drink of water. They provide water, coffee, and tea from a Keurig, and also have face masks on hand for the health and safety of all patients. I went in after a short wait, and Angie revealed that I did in fact have a low grade fever. Dr. Somerville revealed after a chest X-ray that despite getting a flu shot, I had in fact contracted a strain of flu. He prescribed two different meds that I picked up at the nearby CVS. Since my PCP at Harvard is leaving, I'll pick a new one there, and let Dr. Somerville be my Plan B doctor. My only complaint is what I saw about my height and weight. They said I was 5 ft 5, when I'm actually 5 ft 3, and that I weighed 185 pounds. If I really weighed that much, I'd be dead. I have a small frame, and don't think I weigh more than 125. read more

Update: While some people here are super nice and competent, there is a serious lack of communication that really needs to be fixed. For one, I was supposed to receive a 21-day supply of a medication, 2 pills per day, and whoever called in the prescription called in 21 pills, so I ended up being stuck without my medication in the middle of taking it, and I called to ask them to fix this issue several times and people kept saying they'd look into it and call me back and no one ever did. I finally just called again now and was put through directly to a doctor who fixed the problem. Secondly, I gave in a form from my health insurance company that they needed to fill out so I wouldn't have to pay for my meds out of pocket. The woman at the desk took it back to the doctor to fill out and came back and said it would be done in 40 minutes. I came back after an hour and she said it wouldn't be done for another 2 hours. I called back TWO DAYS later and they said they had no record that any form had ever been dropped off or was waiting to be filled out. I called back again today and the person finally found the form and said no one had filled it out yet. Because of this incompetence and lack of communication, I've paid over $100 for 7 days of my medication when I could've paid a quarter of that amount, at most, had they just done the form and not lost track of it completely. This issue has yet to be resolved, and my pockets are becoming emptier and emptier by the day. read more

I brought my daughter here bright and early Saturday morning with a sore throat, swollen tonsils, the whole bit. We left about 45 minutes later after a very good experience, to pick up a prescription for antibiotics. Imagine our disappointment when we discovered the dosage prescribed was too large. Next time we will wait to see GP during weekend hours or during the week. The facility is really clean and nice. please make all your sign in forms available in different languages. We live in an area with many ELL speakers and they have a right to understand everything they are signing. read more

I was happy to see that you could schedule appointment times online/over the phone so I did that to avoided the dreading wait times that usually come with urgent cares. But, it made no difference. Despite calling ahead to get on the wait list I still waited over an hour. When I asked reception the point of calling ahead she just shrugged and said sorry. When I was finally brought back to a room, my info was taken down on a scratch piece of notepad paper which seemed a little odd. I'm here for intense vomiting and was left with a barf bucket and told the dr would be in soon. 20 minutes later, a dr finally walks in as I'm vomiting and says "ohhh are you here for leg pain?" I replied no, vomiting. "Oh sorry, I came into the wrong room!" She asked about my symptoms and said she would send the other dr in right away to give me anti nausea medicine. I'm currently still waiting for the other/correct dr, 10 minutes later and I'm just about ready to walk out and fend for myself at home. There is nothing urgent about this place and there's no point in making a waitlist appointment ahead of time. Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else but here. read more

The staff here are very nice, and make the inevitably long wait much more pleasant! While it took hours to be seen, with only 2 people ahead of me, i was offered free beverages (sodas, diet sodas, coffee, water, juice, etc) and free snacks. Theres also tvs in the exam rooms so you can watch tv to kill time while waiting! Both the nurse and the doctor were very pleasant. my biggest complaints would be the use of the space, and the conditions which they can treat. There is a nice feont lobby and entrance into the clinic, but i feel those could have been smaller to perhaps allow for another exam room or two, or thicker walls between the rooms. It would be great to see two doctors working this location at the same time to decrease the long wait. They mainly do vaccinations and x-rays, they do not have the ability to order lab tests or imaging other than x-rays. read more

It's a very clean practice, with X-ray machines onsite. The doctor was professional. The internal waiting rooms have couches and tvs as you wait to be seen. The place needs a significant improvement in the registration process. Long wait times and front office staff with multiple responsibilities and are not the friendliest bunch. Very helpful and candid receptionist greeted people in a cheerful way and advised that wait for walk-ins might be up to two hours. People were asked the reason for their visit in earshot of everybody waiting, so if your reason is private maybe bring it written on paper. Some people had appointments and got in quicker, and I was invited in after about an hour. Nurse practitioner and doctor were both helpful, informative, positive, and knowledgeable and figured out my problem quickly. I mailed the check out a week after it reached my mailbox because I was on vacation but they called me EVERY DAY for 2 weeks and it wasn't even a person on the line, it was some automated machine telling me how much I owed and ways I can pay. Their staff and service is great. Of course there is a wait since it an Urgent Care but do not fret because they have a fully stocked drawers of little snacks (ie: animal crackers, cheez-its, cookies) and a mini fridge of beverages ranging from water, gatorade, soda and juices and also coffee and tea choices as well. The service of being seen by the provider was fairly quick and painless. I was a bit sketchy at first for the provider said "what to do, what to do?" pacing back and forth while in the room with my boyfriend and I. My boyfriend and I giggled a bit with the thought he was thinking out loud. Good thing I was being seen for chest congestion and it wasn't anything severe to be alarmed about his contemplation of what to do with my symptoms. I've been here twice and this place is not great. Both times I have been, they took a very long time for a doctor to see me. I am talking, 40 min - 1 hour. I usually hate going to the doctors so this is biased, but I went to another clinic and plan (the urgent care by the children's hospital in Waltham) and I will give them a 5 rating on yelp and rave about how amazing they are. So this place sucks because when you park, there are NO directions to get to the office. Both times I have been I saw the same doctor (Asian female) not sure if there are other doctors or a coincidence ? - I think the long wait lines mean she is over worked. I won't get into the details of my ailments, but the doctor doesn't give you a discharge paper of things to do when you leave. They use a blood pressure machine that doesn't even work. For the first time in my entire life the nurse told me my blood pressure was high. I was shocked, she also said the machine is off sometimes. So why in the heck are you using a machine on a sick person that doesn't work? The doctor doesn't spend time with the patients. Oh and, the receptionist is nice, but the last time I went, the machine was "down" so I had to fill in paper work, then the system was working, so i filled in everything online. I filled in paperwork TWICE . How silly. ? Overall this place is not living up the the level of healthcare I would expect. I guess they do not care because they are right in the middle of all the college kids.. not families. I will never return. This post is not meant to be harsh, but because I felt so sick and ill after this appointment / I went to another clinic in Waltham and the differences were obvious. This place is amazing. I'm here now waiting for a blood draw for something that didn't technically require an urgent care, but I just relocated to Brookline and don't have a PCP yet. In under an hour, I have been escorted to an exam suite with a couch and more cable channels than I have at home, offered drinks and snacks, seen the nurse who took my vitals and medical history and already seen the doctor. I'm waiting for a blood draw and my scripts and I'm out. If they did primary care here ( In Phoenix I went to a provider that did both) I would have found my new medical home. read more

I'm just in MA for the summer, and sometimes having my PCP out of state is a real hassle. Luckily, I live really close to this Partners Urgent Care location, and was able to drop in when I wasn't feeling so well. Firstly, yes, the wait time was a bit of a hassle, but no worse than I've experienced at other clinics. Plus, they have free snacks and drinks, so there's really no complaining. The longer I waited the more animal crackers I got to scarf. The facility is nice, in a clinical sort of way. It was clean and comfortable. The exam rooms have couches and a TV that you can control -- very fancy, though I didn't use it. My provider, Dr. Brochu, was friendly and professional, as were all the nursing staff I interacted with. I felt confident in their medical abilities and left the clinic satisfied that my issue had been addressed. This will definitely be my go-to place when I need something checked out! read more

I decided to try out this clinic despite the average reviews & was pleasantly surprised during my visit. The wait was long, but it was understandable because the clinic was packed. When I was placed in the room, the nurse dimmed the lights for because I was experiencing sensitivity to the lights & was very kind. I then was seen by Caitrin Macdonald NP & she was so kind & patient. I really felt like the staff here went out of their way to take care of me. I'll definitely be returning (If needed)! read more

Staff were kind and were very receptive to my issue, talking to me about it in detail before I'd even finished filling out all the paperwork! Waste of time. Inexperienced staff and doctors. Very limited diagnostic capabilities. Even their blood pressure measurement uses a home device, so the results are suspect. What kind of place uses a device designed for home use in a clinical setting?? This place reflects VERY poorly on the Partners brand. It appears as a blatant attempt by Partners to make some cash by peddling poor health care. I suppose perhaps they may be better than nothing. However, if you have a real problem go to the emergency room. And if not, then wait to see your real doctor. In my opinion, this place has process, quality, and personnel issues. I'm surprised the state allows them to continue operating. At the least, I am surprised that Partners allows this kind of operation to damage their historically-excellent brand as a top-tier health provider. I went in with a hand injury and a somewhat complicated medical history, but the staff treated me in a dignified manner and got me checked and out the door faster than I could have imagined. I often put off medical care because of the stigma I usually end up facing, but they were having non of that. I've been here a few times already for me and my daughter and it beats going to the emergency room for minor emergencies. The team is very friendly, quick and efficient. The wait time is not as long as an emergency Dept. Usually in and out of course depending on how many people are there. They have a coffee, tea, soda, juice and snack area which helps the wait. They check you in and you fill out easy tablet survey and return it. (Not sure if they wipe it down before or after each patient touches it I hope). They have a TV in the waiting area usually turned on I don't remember if TV was placed in area that everyone could see it. The last time I was there it was not turned on. They do have magazines but I think they should have more in a more visible area(s). Once you are called in they take your vitals with quick and easy equipment such as a paper disposable thermometer, check your BP w monitor for your finger, take height etc. Then the Dr. see's you. Best part of waiting room is the loveseat in the room and cable TV that you can watch and change channels. Each time I went they were very knowledgeable and knew how to resolve or treat my symptoms and we're able to prescribe or direct us on what we needed to do to care for the problem. It best a high copay in a regular emergency room. For the most part you are in and out. Oh and there is street mmete parking til 8pm. read more

I came in for a routine test. First of all, the nurse had no idea what she was doing and gave me a bruise instead of a proper placement of the test. Then, I came back to have the test read, and when I did, they skipped over my place in line 3 times, making me wait for about an hour longer than I should have. When I am the LAST PERSON in the clinic, despite multiple people walking in after me and being seen before me, the nurse and receptionist told me "you're outside of the window to be checked" And guess by how much: one hour. It was also mentioned that I can pay another fee to get another test done right there, another 50 dollars out of my pocket for the hour that they pushed me to stay longer than needed. And when I was being told that my test is no longer viable (I've had these plenty of times, It's just a routine and I've never seen anyone so strict about it) the receptionist had the audacity to tell me "I can have a provider explain it" as if I were too dumb to understand what was going on. This was the worst customer service I've ever seen, and this place is just hungry for money and doesn't care about the well being of their patients. What happened to patient centered care? read more

Had the worst experience at this "urgent care". Starting with receptionist Jade, very rude said the wait was an hour and a half to 2 hours and asked, "could I come back tomorrow?" Umm no, if it could wait I wouldn't come to Urgent Care! Then I waited which was fine and expected and had the NP Cynthia Dunn come in for 5 seconds and wasn't even going to look at my eye until I insisted. Then she left and said she was going to confer about a plan, sent the receptionist in with discharge papers and no information. Then the discharge papers say to take medication as prescribed, but no medication was prescribed. Worst urgent care I have ever been to and paid for literally nothing. read more

Front desk doesn't pick up the phone and is not honoring on-line reservations. Front desk person was incapable of entering our insurance information-prolonging our wait. I think this is the best experience I have ever had when it comes to urgent care. They were very organized, great service, and all under an hour. The place is very clean, they offer snacks though I was feeling like any but they were available to my mother who accompanied me. Great place! read more

I have been here 3 times (once for myself and twice with family members). Each time, I have been impressed first with the cleanliness and comfort of the facility, and then the professionalism of the staff. The PAs, in particular, have been fantastic. When I can't go to my PCP, or when friends or family are visiting from out of town (or the country), I would absolutely go here. read more

Partners Urgent Care has given me the biggest pain in the butt for the past few months. I was told they accept blue cross blue shield of california with a 40 dollar copay, so I went ahead and paid that. One month later I have a 500 dollar charge from them on my credit card. I contacted my insurance company and they stated that Partners never even filed a claim with them. They were trying to scam money out of us and they still won't send the claim over. Just want in because I am feeling very sick and the woman at the front desk was rude for no reason! They have 1 doctor working and she told the few of us in there that it would be a 2 hour wait or we could go make an appointment elsewhere. I asked if I could make an appointment for around 2 hours from then and come back and she started yelling at me how this is a walk in clinic only and I can wait or leave. I am literally trying to not throw up in their lobby and don't need to be yelled at for asking a question. Some people shouldn't be client facing if they don't know how to treat people. Wish there was zero stars rating. My husband went there after we checked on our phones to get their hours which stated that they close at 9pm. When he got there at 8:35pm they told him the last patient check in time is 8:30pm. This was not stated on their mobile website version, otherwise we would have gone to the other nearby urgent care clinic (which by this time was too late to get too). He explained that he just tested positive for strep with an at-home test and that our entire family was sick with it so he just needed a swab to confirm and get an rx. This is what I had just done in less than 15 minutes in another urgent care facility earlier in the week. He told them he was taking immuno-suppressant infusions (through Partners facilities of course) so it's important he be treated quickly. Saying that they could not have given a half a sh*t would be an understatement. He was told he was speaking to the Supervisor "Kelly". Turns out she wasn't the supervisor. Please remove "Care" from your name. Beth Israel Urgent Care has always been beyond amazing and we will always be going there from now on. I have come here multiple times since moving to Boston-- sad to say I will have to look elsewhere when it comes to urgent care. Although the doctor was wonderful, I was charged incorrectly and have not been able to get anyone to speak to me on the phone. The front desk woman told me she would take my debit card, health insurance and license and process my $25 copay while I sat in the doctor's office. She came in a few minutes later and handed me my three cards back with no receipt. Thinking I had been there before, I never thought she would charge me almost 6X my copay. My attempts to get this resolved with billing have gone unanswered. I see from previous posts that this is an ongoing problem. I have absolutely no idea how to go about getting my money back as they do not seem interested in returning any attempts at communication. read more

My roommate felt like he had the flu all day and called ahead at 8:45 pm to see if they would see him even though they close at 9 pm. They said yes, so I tagged along just to make sure everything went smoothly. We showed up at 8:57 pm and were immediately greeted with a "you have got to be f*cking kidding" as if the employee at the front desk would die if she stayed any longer... on top of this she lied to my roommate about not accepting insurance after the visit (he didn't have his card on him, probably trying to deter him from being seen), AND THEN after he was seen we were immediately kicked out and forced to wait in the rain for our Uber. Would not go here again based on this interaction To the employee or manager that reads through these reviews and comments back - the date was 2/10/18. It was an African American woman, mid 20's, maybe 5'3" and another African American woman working that night. They ran to the back room after that snide comment, I could hear them laughing, and then loud "SHHHHHH"'s to quiet their laughter. Only going into such detail because that woman's attitude SUCKED and something should be done about it. read more

My son goes to school in Boston. He was home for the weekend and we brought him back on Sunday. He was coughing up yukky sinus stuff-he has a history of sinus infections, pneumonia, and bronchitis, as do I. Point being we BOTH KNOW WHEN WE HAVE A SINUS INFECTION. He is a student teacher, and can not risk missing classes. We were THRILLED to find an urgent care open on a Sunday night. It was clean and nice. Receptionist and nurse were extremely nice. I expressed my concern about whether or not he would be given antibiotics. I am very aware of the antibiotic resistance epidemic. That being said, I informed all that my son hasn't been on antibiotics in two years. I would hardly describe him as antibiotic resistant. When the PA came in, she gave me the same old story, as if I'm some kind of idiot looking to score some choice antibiotics. Really?? Because they're so AWESOME, as we all know. She said it will become a sinus infection in 7-10 days, so I guess he should go back and pay ANOTHER copay when he's good and infected. I was so thankful to find this facility away from home (for us), but it was a waste of time and money. I will continue to search from home for a place that he can visit while in Boston. Actually should be 5 star review for convenience, wait time, cleanliness, and kind employees. PA's however, should LISTEN TO PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS. Feel very let down, and will spend the week worrying from far away. Wonder how she would feel in my shoes... UPDATE-My son was sent home sick from student teaching yesterday (Tuesday), and went to the clinic associated with his school, where they gave him (hello?) antibiotics - the horror! And an rx cough syrup. I only wish the medical community had been so careful while handing out prescriptions for the opioids that have caused this epidemic in our country. Shame on anyone who makes a patient feel as though they're asking for illegal drugs or faking an ailment for meds. Especially when both parents are present. I did not need to be in Boston that late-stayed just to go with him to the urgent care because I thought there was a chance they'd walk all over him. I'm ashamed to say I let her walk all over me too. I hope he never has to use this facility again. read more

Hands down best medical care facility I've ever been to. Made a visit on Monday 10/3 and the front desk staff told me that it would be quite a wait. He indicated there were a number of people in the back that had yet to be seen and the waiting room had an additional 6 people in front. I seemed to have caught the after work rush at around 5:30 pm. I made the decision to leave and return the next day at a slower period. I returned Tuesday, 10/4 at around 3pm. The facility was very clean from front to back. I completed paperwork and within minutes I was shown to a patient room in the back. I was offered both water and snacks. The patient room even has a comfortable couch and a TV you can change at your discretion. After a short while my vitals were taken and I was asked why I was there. Shortly after that , Dr. Evans arrived. She asked me questions and actually LISTENED to my perceived symptoms before pushing tests and 'scrips on me. When the PA came in, she introduced herself as Jessica and indicting she would be assisting the Doc. She didn't just walk in and help start poking and prodding me as random person #2. Even after examination and an initial test, the doctor came back indicating she had put more thought into it and offered another suggestion for my symptoms. Going to any medical facility can be an uncomfortable experience, but Partners goes out of its way to make patients feel comfortable. I do not live in Boston (visited for work), but if I were to return and need any care, I am going straight to Partners. Highly recommend. read more

I've been here many times and its ok, the only reason I keep going is because the location is near where I live. I came in today at 9 AM to get first in line for when they opened. A few other people and I waited a bit and then an employee came out and told us that we can't be seen because there was no staff in the building. She couldn't tell us when the staff would be coming or where the next closest location was, and then closed the door in our face. I totally understand that if there are no medical professionals you can't let people in for liability ie. if someone has an emergency no one can help them. However, the lack of basic customer service was a little shocking. Put a sign on the door if you are closed! I walked back about 5 minutes later because I decided to stop somewhere near by, and there was a new group of people waiting for the door to be unlocked and totally unaware that it was closed! I had to tell them myself and gave them the sheet with the other partners locations. Also, it would really be better customer service if you explained why the location had no staff. All you have to say is "We're so sorry, the doctor who was working this shift is sick and can't come in." That would've been a lot less frustrating then not receiving a reason and being kicked out. If you don't give a reason it gives the impression that Partners is unreliable, that's pretty basic PR/customer service. Aside from this visit, the waits are extremely long. It actually might be faster to travel to a further away location that is less busy than go to this one. read more

I went to this urgent care center because of some pain I was having and the doctor couldn't see anything so she prescribed pain killers and ointment and said if I find a bump to come back. Later that day I found a bump, went back, and she wouldn't even see me. She sent the receptionist to come tell me is she couldn't do anything for me. Everything online points to a cyst but this incompetent doctor couldn't take the time to even call me in to a room. Don't bother going here. Just go to the emergency room where they'll actually take you seriously. read more

Awful service. I ended up being in this urgent care twice myself and with my husband. The waiting time for hours. No provider, just the nurse practitioner. It looks like they all hate there job, nobody at the front desk for an hour to check in. I had an X-ray done . And I was not given shield protection. Than I had a disc with the images. I went to see my doctor the next day and the disc was empty. I had to do X-ray again and double pay for same injury. Also, partners is a reputable name, but this place is not really partners....The information was not loaded to partners system. I would not suggest to come to this urgent care. read more

I visited this urgent care in September 2020 and saw Dr. Shah. It was extremely clean and I was taken to a room immediately after checking in. Dr. Shah was amazing and really took the time to help me understand my body. He made me feel comfortable and had great bedside manner. I appreciated his preventative and holistic approach to medicine. read more

I came to this location on 9/21/18 as they accepted my insurance (CareFirst / BlueCross) and needed an XRay for a potential wrist fracture (life tip: don't ride bikes into utility poles). Everybody that I interacted with was professional and courteous, and I had no problems with any of the staff here. The waiting rooms and exam rooms were all clean and comfortable, and they offered free coffee and drinks in the waiting room. read more

This facility is clean, the staff are really friendly and courteous, and the physician was great! They have TV in all the exam rooms, so that makes the inevitable wait less boring. There's WiFi too. And they have free snacks and beverages. I had to wait in the lobby for about 15 minutes, but that was fine. I've waited for longer periods of time in other doctor's offices. The person at the front desk apologized profusely for the delay - nice touch. The doctor that saw me was very nice, attentive, and explained everything to me patiently. The support staff were great as well. I spent about an hour and a half there, but it was pleasant. I'm glad to know of this urgent care center. Only tip - try to get an appointment over the phone. I called first, they said they were accepting walk-ins, so I went there. Then I was told that I had to call and make an appointment as they were not taking walk-ins just then.
