They did NOT require patients too put on a new mask... and one was chronically coughing. Yet, the nurse took my information from a separate room on her phone due to Covid protocols. Nobody seemed to write anything I said down. This resulted in me repeating a month-long history of medical visits, for various symptoms, all the medications that resulted from them and all my current symptoms... Half a dozen times! When I did finally meet with the doctor, she was an excellent listener, very empathetic and supportive. I might recommend her...but all she prescribed me was an antihistamine nasal spray. My symptoms are severe, and definitely need further treatment, but she simply did NOT know what to do for me. She said she wanted to prescribe me antibiotics, but she feared the side effects would make my current symptoms even worse. WORST PART: I showed the doctor two red bite marks, on my right forearm, and assured her I had a picture of the bites, when they first happened, and they were red circles. I requested a basic LYME DISEASE blood test. She REFUSED detest me, for Lyme disease and tick borne illness, because she said, "your symptoms don't relate to that." My symptoms are classic for Lyme disease: headache; diarrhea; nausea; fatigue; etc. this type of medical ignorance is extremely dangerous. If ANY of the 300+ kinds of tickborne illness, of which we only test for one kind of Lyme Disease, is not diagnosed and treated early, it can become chronic for LIFE. THE DEAL: In future, I would reserve using this walk-in clinic for absolute emergencies only... and only those that don't merit going to the ER!

There is plenty of free parking in their parking lot, there is a receptionist on the first floor to give directions where to go or help with any other needs. Beth Israel's's Urgent Care is located on the second floor, there is an elevator a wheelchair if needed. The office suite is clearly marked urgent care, very important. If you are stressed or in a situation you don't want to have to second guess where to go. My doctor examined me thoroughly and had a medical assistant. My exam was quick. This is urgent care and being quick is a good thing. . I did not have to go to an emergency room for which could take hours maybe even days to be seen, especially at a non Beth Israel emergency room. Even then, taking up the space and time in an emergency room makes it difficult for those people that are really in crisis with a high need medical issue. If I needed an emergency room, BI Urgent Care would have sent me or made sure I got there safely. So this was the perfect option for me rather than waiting for an appointment after a minor car accident. Or emergency room. I'm very pleased with Beth Israel, as medical provider in all areas of care including surgeries. Hands down, the best option. Discharge/service note was giving to me at record speed and my medication was called in in the same manner. I've been coming for my primary care to this location for several years. Professional staff at the front desk make my visits run smooth. the doctor examined me, I felt confident in his ability to assess me. Today was pleasant and efficient I was in and out of there quickly. And that's what I want when you have been in an accident or some other life incident.

What you are doing right now is disingenuous and unprofessional.

I could not have been more unfounded in my expectations. My experience was fine, and went as smooth is to be expected, given I'm an international tourist with travel insurance to get around. I went in around 8:45 this morning, hoping to beat the crowds. There were only a handful of people ahead of me. The receptionist/administrator informed me that I'd have to go to the international registrations office first to set up a patient number for my travel insurance/billing. Only a minor inconvenience, and really just makes sense given the need to chase international insurance providers etc. My only complaint thus far would be that, whilst the registrations office is around the next corner, the International registrations office is in an entirely different area which required directions to find. Perhaps if they were to perform renovations in future, they might put both registration offices next to or opposite each other. Only a very minor thing. After filling in the forms. I returned to the clinic receptionist who added my information and slipped me back in on the waiting list. There was a slight discomfort during my wait in that a patient sitting a few seats down from me was rocking, shaking and bemoaning her lack of access to her doctor yet. Not really the clinics fault, and I can't really blame them for it. They were very courteous in dealing with her increasing volume and disdain for waiting. Tolerance is quite the virtue! After maybe 5 minutes, I was taken in to a lovely nurse who took down notes of my stats, vitals, and my ailments, in preparation for the doctor. This woman was incredibly pleasant, and we had a small conversation about my holiday and what to do in Boston. There was never any rush to get me out as quickly as possible, and the nurse was both attentive and personable. After finishing my file, and our chat, I returned to the waiting room until the doctor became available. It was maybe a 10 minute wait. Perfectly fine by me. The doctor took me through, went over my file with me to confirm everything, then examined me. After a quick confirmation via a secondary doctor passing by, my ailment was confirmed. The doctor (Dr Black) explained it to me in an accessible level, and typed up detailed instructions for treatment, with a comprehensive list of suggested medicines to go with my prescription. With that, and handing over my forms to the receptionist thereafter, my medical journey came to an end. I left around 10:15am, but a large portion of that time was me filling out international insurance forms and trying to find the correct registrations office. Honestly, my experience was wonderful. I feel that, had I been a U.S. Citizen with domestic health insurance,you could easily halve my time there. Waiting and taking less than 30 mins all up to see a doctor and be treated is a very good turnaround. Back in my country, I could wait hours, and have. Just try to go early - I'm sure it would fill out quickly on weekends or at lunch hours.

On Saturday I went to my pharmacist and asked her if there was anything I could take to help with the symptoms and pain I was having. She said you need to see a Doctor don't wait til Monday. So I went to MGH Medical Walk-IN-Unit on Sunday May 1, 2011. My symptoms were fever, sever pounding headaches which seemed worst than having a migraine,dizziness, stomach pain, chills, unable to swallow, pain running down my legs and unable to eat or sleep for four days. I waited at MGH for about 2 hours at which time I saw a Dr Herb Lin who I found to be rude and unprofessional. You talk about " Patients Rights And Responsibilites" If all you need is a computer to diagnose someone than I can do that because that is what Dr Lin did. (Do you think Doctors are on Facebook) I sat there while he typed away as his computer only to take a quick look at my throat then made his diagnosis. A real doctor would have check my glands, my stomach, my head, my legs. You would think with such a prompt diagnosis that there should only be a 10 minute wait as it seems Dr Lin must be getting paid by the number a patients he see's. This really puts a bad taste in my mouth. I not saying this is a bad place but at least stay away from Dr Herb Lin.

Urgent Care done right…read more I visited this past week for a somewhat embarrassing concern (hello hemorrhoids) and was seen within an hour to discuss some of my wacky symptoms and hopefully put my mind at ease. I didn't really know if they would see this kind of thing, (is this even a thing?) and after hours of researching my symptoms on WEBMD and coming to the conclusion that I may die, I was so nervous and uncomfortable for them to take a look and give me the news. But yes I am the overthinker queen of queens. The staff took great care in making me feel like my symptoms weren't out the ordinary and confirmed that it was, just that, a hemorrhoid. I survived. DAMN I was a so nervous and embarrassed but the staff made me feel comfortable and put my mind at ease. The provider gave me some cream and things are good. THANK YOU! It's nice to have a clean office in a convenient location, but better yet professional, warm, staff who made this experience all the best. Shout out to the nice secretary checking me in, the nurse who brought me back to go over my symptoms, and the provider who put my nervous mind at ease! HIGHLY recommend. Bravo!

Got the bill - was charged $605 for a 15-minute visit for a blood test that was $30. They added a $575 "new patient" fee--there was no actual new patient visit. Insurance paid $400 - so we had to pay $200 (not $10). But really - $605 for 15 minutes. Called them and they said that was the price. Shady billing practices!!
