Took my 7 year old daughter in for pain in her ear at 6pm. Was messed around until 10pm by an assortment of receptionists, nurses and other staff until finally seeing a doctor for about 2 minutes after 10pm, after the nearest pharmacy was filled so unable to fill the prescription until tomorrow morning. When it came to getting paid, they surprisingly upped their game and processed that in a couple of minutes. Clearly, they care more about paperwork and getting paid than they do about actually treating patients. This place seems to have no systematic process at all. Everyone there treated me with respect - from the receptionist to the x-ray tech. The Dr took my symptoms seriously and was very kind and sympathetic. I found the experience pleasant. The staff was very polite, the waiting area and exam rooms were very neat and modern (even TVs in the exam rooms!) and there were treats. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! - WENDY at RECEPTION WAS RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL - THEY TOLD ME TO COME AND THEN SENT ME AWAY.!!! I had called the Brookline office at 7:45pm and indicated that I needed to see someone for my sinus's before my flight the next morning. They said yes come - as long as you arrive by 8:30pm. So, I promptly got in my car with my fever and went to their office arriving at 8:15pm. Upon arrival they told me they couldn't see me. I was shocked! I had just talked to them 30 minutes earlier, and explained that there must be a mistake! I then tried to plead with her and explained that I have a fever and a flight in the am, and I believe that I probably have a sinus infection and just needed some antibiotics - I reminded her that I followed their process and arrived earlier than they required. Wendy's only response was ..."we only have 1 Dr and it got busy" ..... "sorry - you'll need to go to the emergency room"... *&#^$%%! ... I can't describe how upset and disappointed I was to have been dismissed so rudely and with no concern on how I was misguided and had just spent over 30 minutes coming to their office at their direction to do so. I plan to escalate with Partners Executive management. This is beyond unacceptable, and I hope that others don't have the same problem. I went today for a pink eye consultation. I waited about a 2.5 hours to be seen (which seems fairly normal for this location), but every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. The nursing staff was so kind and friendly and my doctor was extremely patient and personable. The facilities are new and clean (free coffee, tea, snacks, T.V.s in every room). Be sure you have the time to set aside, but otherwise it was an ideal visit. read more

I visited urgent care several months ago and asked for my detailed bill several times but received nothing since then. My insurance company says it's too late to reimburse the cost. We should have submitted the claim using the bill within three months after the visit. Is it that difficult to send a detailed bill?! read more

My experience with other urgent care locations is wonderful. This particular location is very disappointing. I did a check-in online appt to be seen by the doctor. I show up about 15 minutes before my scheduled check in/appt time and was told that the wait would still be 2 hours. I questioned the receptionist what the point of check-in/making an appt is if you still had to wait the "normal" wait time? Her response was "this is a busy location." Hence why i did the check-in/appt to be seen without the "normal" 2 hour wait. I would understand still having to wait 30 or 40 minutes since the appt times are not guaranteed, but 2 hours is completely unacceptable. I passed on the wait time of 2 hours as I did not feel being treated appropriately for someone that had completed a checkin/appt. read more

Even though they allow you to book an appointment for a pediatric patient flu shot online, when you arrive, they then tell you that they don't give pediatric flu shots. The front desk staff is also callous and unsympathetic. What a ridiculous waste of time! read more

I went here for what is usually a quick appointment. The doctor on call, Jorg Winterer, made me wait 2 and a half hours before he came in. Out of curiosity I cracked the door open to and saw Jorg sitting back in a chair casually talking to a nurse. Thankfully the nurse came over and started helping me. Once Jorg finally came in the room he gave me short answers, rudely would talk over me as I tried to ask a question, he wouldn't listen and was all around mean and not helpful. I waited almost three hours to be rudely told to come back next week. Natasha, the nurse, was amazing. We need more nurses like her. But I won't be going back because Jorge is mean. Avoid this place and save yourself some time. read more

I used the walk-in urgent care and only had to fill out one short form, plus show ID and my insurance card. I was show into a private room within 5 minutes. There was a TV and I got to watch it while waiting for my doctor. But again, I didn't have to wait long. The doctor saw me within less than 10 minutes. She spent a good 20 minutes going over my symptoms, tested me for strep, and prescribed me medications which were promptly sent to the pharmacy of my choice. The waiting room has coffee and juice, plus snacks. Very friendly staff. I was impressed. read more

The front desk evening person was very rude and had an attitude. From the beginning it took more than 30 minutes just for her to call my name on the list. When it was time to be checked in she asked personal questions at the front desk which I thought was unacceptable...um hello HIPPA. I explained to her that I didn't mind telling a RN or a MD why I would like to be seen but not in a room full of people her being loud. Then she was like well I need to know you can step in the back and tell me. I AGAIN told her I will wait to talk to the RN. Then she asked me for my insurance card which I responded that I should be in the system since I am a Partners employee. Because I have never been at the urgent care I still needed my card. OK...No problem. But then She refused to see me because I didn't have the card.. well if I didn't waste 30 minutes sitting there I would have drove back to get my card but it was already late in the evening. This girl has no sympathy .. I'm not feeling well and I told her I will give my insurance information the following day and I'll pay out of pocket. SHE QUESTIONED MY 3X if I was sure I wanted be seen and why I wanted to be seen..Apparently I would not have been able to be seen if I didn't agree to be "self pay so told her yes and I don't care how much it is. Now I know people can get billed or get put on a payment plan but at that point I was tired and just wanted to me seen. Why should someone have to go though all of that just check me in..simple.point.blank. you'll get your money one way or another. Then when I saw the PA- she was nice but she had no real answer or solution to my problem and told me to just wait it out. I was so disappointed from the beginning to the end. I wasted 2 hrs and $200 bill for a 15 minute consultation. On a good note-the facility is nice and clean and that is only real perk to this place. read more

Update: Despite the Yelp apology and assurance that someone would follow up with me, to date, I've received no follow-up or messages of any kind. Moreover--and rather amazingly--after yet ANOTHER in-person visit about the billing error and assurance that the issue was resolved, I've just received ANOTHER robo-call from their billing department informing me of an overdue balance. Maybe I'm just doomed to get calls from them for the rest of my life? Can't tell you how much I regret having given this facility a chance. read more

I agree with previous reviews, try to avoid this place...complete misdiagnosis by a doctor who looked more like an intern! Have a terrible respiratory viral infection (have been coughing for a week with no sleep). After the visit to the clinic today also got a pink eye. On web md it clearly states that the two items combined mean a viral infection. These guys said its bronchitis and practically sent me back with no meds. Hello another sleepless night and a pink eye which I probably got by visiting the clinic. Very upset and not happy with the experience. Also, co-pay was $125, which was actually supposed to be $40. Called the next day to ask for a prescription for pink eye and they said I had to come in and pay another $125 to be assessed. Pink eye is a pink eye and why do I have to pay for a complete misdiagnosis that occurred the first time. This is probably by far the worst experience that I had with an urgent care clinic. read more

Test results were inadequate in detail and I had to have them done again by my doctor. The "results" was "ok" with zero information that one would find in a normal lab results. The tests were done in North Carolina? Seriously, not in Massachusetts? And they are not tied into the hospital systems so your regular doctor does not see the information. Then tho I paid by credit card at the time of the visit, I got an additional bill with no indication of what it was for. Within days I started getting calls to pay it over the phone for a call center in Texas, this after I had already mailed the amount. I am beginning to wonder if this is a setup for Medicare fraud. However- my husband went in with clear signs of pneumonia (fever over 100 for 6 days, persistent cough etc), he asked for a chest x-ray which was refused and was then diagnosed with pneumonia (by chest x-ray) two days later at the ER when he went there instead. Proceed with caution!!! While the facility itself was nice and the wait time tolerable the medical care was sub par! I can deal with the terrible bedside manner of the nurses and physician but not the poor care. Went in for illness, the doctor only spent less than a minute with me and did a throat swab. Did not bother to do a basic exam- did not listen to my heart, lungs, did not look at my ears, nose, feel glands. Seems like pretty basic care skills that were not provided. The assistant who did a throat swab put on gloves, but then left room touching door handle and other items in her gloves never changing them before doing swab, and also placed it back on wrapper sitting on counter- does not seem sterile to me! if you need proper and thorough medical care PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! Your health is too important!!! My only positive was the girl working at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, nothing like the miserable unqualified medical staff! read more

Amazing staff. They went above and beyond for my 5 year old daughter. We came in Monday evening (Martin Luther king day) and right away the woman at the front desk came over and gave my crying daughter a hug and put on a kids show for her in the waiting room. After we got into an exam room and my daughter started flipping out over having to get a throat culture, the nurse asked if she'd like a popsicle afterwards. She said yes and finally agreed to allow the doctor to do a throat culture. Soon after the nurse returned. She had run next door to Trader Joe's and bought 2 different kinds of ice cream/pops for my daughter to choose from!!! They really went above and beyond. This is my second time at Partners in Brookline and I really wish I could give it a better review, but I can't. The facility is very nice and the staff are friendly, I even liked the doctor on my first visit, but both times I have had to sit in a room and wait over two hours to be seen. This is completely ridiculous considering I've had appointments each time. I do not recommend going here at all until they figure out a better system. I just walked out of my second appointment and do not intend on ever coming back. read more

I went here to get a ppd test which is a routine test I need for my job. I go back on Saturday to get my results read and the tech and physician decided the test was inconclusive for TB, so they ordered a blood test (not sure why they didn't order a chest x-ray, which is standard when you think someone might have been exposed to the TB virus). The doctor said they would have my results Monday even though the following day was Sunday and that they would call. Monday comes, no call. I call and they tell me the doctor was wrong and they need 2 business days to process the lab tests and someone will call me Wednesday. Wednesday rolls around with no call. I call when I get home from a business trip and they said the results take 5-7 business days. After explaining the frustrating situation to someone there over the phone and how this test is pertain to my job, they decide they will let the medical director know in the morning and have them call me. In my opinion, they were extremely unprofessional and obviously the staff and physicians who work there are misinformed. Not ideal for patient care. In the future I will just be going to my PPC to avoid the unprofessionalism and laziness I experienced here. read more

I was made to feel humiliated and was dismissed given the nature of my presenting problem, despite a direct referral from the MD on-call at my Primary Care office. I received zero help, left in tears, and went to another urgent care in Chestnut Hill where I was treated with dignity. Shame on you Partners and your staff! My experience with this facility was very bad. I cut my hand and had a serious bleeding. To go to an Urgent care seemed as a good idea. When I entered a reception room there were no patients and the Receptionist Natasha Andrews was talking on the phone with somebody but it didn't look like a business call. She uttered: "Wait" and waived a hand to a chair. She didn't ask me about the reason for my visit but was just talking and talking and I was waiting and waiting... Finally she hung up but at this moment a young man entered the room and rushed to the Reception desk. I told Natasha A. that it was my turn to be served. (By the way I am not a young chicken, I am 80 years old!) She told me to step back to give them a privacy. Then she ignored me and got into a lengthy conversation with the man about insurances, price for an Urgent care visit and so on not paying any attention to me. When this conversation was over she didn't call me but started to sort out papers on her desk and work with her computer not even asking me what my problem was. My hand was bleeding severely. I decided to leave Partners and look for care at another facility because I realized that here I wouldn't get a good medical care. If a staff member at the entrance can take a liberty to be so inattentive and unprofessional the rest of the staff may be the same. I asked for her name, she laughed! Faina Z. read more

I took my spouse for a tetanus shot on a Friday night. They were patient on the phone and said if you get here before we close at 9pm we will see you. The waiting room was nice and the onsite staff was friendly. We didn't have to wait too long. I found parking on Beacon at a meter. It is great to know this service exists. read more

At 2 pm on a Friday suspecting I had strep throat I went to the Needham Street Newton facility for a swab. The facility was locked up tight, with no sign on the door. Then I drove over to Coolidge Corner. The waiting room was bright and quite spacious and the receptionist was very nice. I learned at the front desk that the electronic medical record used at Partners Urgent Care would not connect with the electronic record at my Partners' primary care physician's office, so despite the name "Partners" they would have no information about my medications or health history. I was told I would need to see a physician and that the wait would be about fifteen minutes. In twenty minutes I was shown to an exam room. Shortly after I entered the room I was joined by a very nice medical assistant who sat next to me at a desk and began writing on a tablet. She started to ask me multiple questions about my health history, including any medications I was on or had taken recently. The questions were repeats of a form I had filled out in the waiting room. She was unable to spell any of the common medications and did not seem to have any idea what they were. Then she asked me what the date of my last menstrual period was (I am clearly over 50). I told her that I had come in for a throat swab and asked if she could please just do the test. She said repeatedly that she needed to know if I was pregnant and I told her repeatedly, "no way" (later I heard from a physician friend that the partial owner of these facilities is a for-profit company called MedSpring and that asking if I were pregnant might be a way of 'upcoding' the visit to get more money for the visit from the insurance company). Then came the time for the swab. The medical assistant, who had not washed her hands since she entered the room and WAS NOT WEARING GLOVES, held my chin, approached my mouth with the swab and asked me to stick my tongue out. I asked her about the gloves, then told her to get me a tongue depressor. I depressed my own tongue while she swabbed my throat. Soon afterward a very nice Physician Assistant came in and told me that I had strep. We went over the options, then she wrote out a prescription longhand. When I asked if she could please send it electronically to my pharmacy she said the office system was down and I would have to hand deliver it myself. After all that, I never got to see an actual physician as had been promised at the beginning of the visit. On my way any out of the exam room I pumped some antibacterial soap into my hands and had to look for a paper towel to dry them. There was no wastebasket near the paper towel dispenser; the only waste receptacle in the room was a five inch hole in the corner of the desk. Walking back toward the door I noticed that there were no accreditation certificates on the walls nor were there any diplomas or credentials of anyone who worked there. I found this to be substandard medical care for the simplest of maladies. I cannot imagine how they would deal with anything more complicated than what I went in for: likely, it would be referred to one of their highly expensive emergency rooms. I informed my primary care physician about the visit and I will never go there again. POSTCRIPT: I found out that the Partners' Urgent Care Needham Street Newton office had to close that particular day because the entire staff had come down with an "illness". Was reluctant to go here after some of the negative reviews but I must say my experience was a positive one. Care felt knowledgeable and comprehensive. Was a bit of a wait I think about an hour and a half to get in and out. Ill go back next time Im not feeling well. Not sure about the copay issue people had in the past but I think theyve since resolved that issue. They do a survey at the end on customer experience and i suspect that has helped them improve. read more

While the staff was really sweet and the facility itself was great, whoever handled issuing my prescriptions to my pharmacy ended up sending it to the completely wrong pharmacy at the other side of the city. I normally use the Walgreens on Tremont St and my prescription was issued to a CVS on Tremont St and I did not want to trek all the way there with the flu especially as the P.A. had put me on bed rest for the day. This led to a struggle the entire day to actually get the prescriptions to the right pharmacy and I had to call the prescription line here three or four times to actually get them sent over. Each person that I spoke with on the phone was very kind but the last one was the only person to keep me on the line as she called the pharmacy to make sure that they got it right. read more

First time here. The people working in this facility were all very nice. It was clean, my only concern here is how you are approached by the front-end staff. I've been to many Walk-in clinics during my life time and I have Never been asked about my symptoms in the waiting area. To me this is a big no no - HIPAA violation. No other patient should hear why you are being seen. This needs to be done in a Tri-age room. Also the clipboard should be given to the patient to fill out, medical assistant should not be sitting in a chair beside them asking the questions and filling it out. Overall, Doctor was great, visit was fast, office very friendly. Just need to be more discreet with each patient checking in. read more

Extremely rude front Desk. Maybe she didn't get her head screwed on straight this morning but when you are dealing with sick patients the least you could do is show some sympathy. I called the main line to let them know we were running 10 minutes late from a snow storm and she said it wouldn't be any trouble at all. The most horrible customer experience ever. Visited Coolidge Corner Partners Urgent Care, Brookline, MA, today 4th January 2019 for the first and definitely for the last time. I had contacted the unit the previous day and asked beforehand if they refill a certain prescription. I didn't get an answer, so I went to the front desk the next morning about 11 a. m. and gave my information and checked in. After waiting about two hours (in front of the receptionist by the way) and noticing other customers passing me in the line, I went to the receptionist and asked what is the problem. Either she or the nurses "had forgotten" me totally and I wasn't even on the list. After that I spent time waiting in the first room and then in another room and then talking to the nurse about my prescription. After that a doctor came in and told they can´t write the prescription I needed. I wanted to talk about my three-hours-for-nothing-experience to the Manager of the unit who lied straight to my face that the they had written me an email in the morning and told they cannot help me with the prescription. I showed him my phone and their message that hadn't arrived in the morning but at 2 p.m. at the same time when we were having our conversations. He didn't say he is sorry about his lie. I wanted to tell about my experience and especially about this impolite and rude man to a supervisor of his. I left a message for this "Anne" who didn't ever even cared to call me back. I have been here before and have had no problems, but my most recent experience here was awful and I will never return. My initial check-in was fine. When I was brought back to the room, the nurse was okay but did not seem concerned at all by by rapid heartbeat, low oxygen saturation, and inability to breathe well. The time between the nurse leaving and the doctor coming into my room was over an hour. When the doctor came in, he said "What's the issue?" and tapped on the bed for me to come over. I explained to him my symptoms, including that I hadn't been able to breathe right for 4 days. He listened to me breathe, and told me he couldn't hear much oxygen flow but he just thinks that's how I breathe. This is with me telling him I cannot breathe and my low oxygen as part of my vitals that were taken. When I brought these things up again he suggested I take DayQuil or Mucinex (which I told him I'd already been taking with no relief). His diagnosis was an acute upper respiratory infection. After two more days of not being able to breathe, and my symptoms only worsening, I went to a different urgent care and they immediately gave me a nebulizer treatment, ordered a chest x-ray, and had diagnosed me with pneumonia in less than an hour. DO NOT COME HERE. It seems nice and well taken care of but the doctors do not care about the patients! read more
