By the time the bus arrived, there were only about five seats available because cruise terminal passengers had been picked up first. They clearly did not have enough buses running for the number of tickets sold. To see attractions across the bridge, you also have to transfer to a smaller bus that only runs from one stop about every 40 minutes. For the price, the long waits and inconvenience made this a poor experience. I would definitely choose another sightseeing option in Boston.

Mobsters and Lobsters is a mafia story laden trip that ends up at the south shore popular lobster eatery. Although Mother Nature and the traffic in downtown Boston decided yo play games with us the owner who's name actually is Tom Collins, started off with a quick quip yo get the folks settled and the first round of beverages were begun. Tom brings us around to the spectacular locations and spots where specific mobsters from the years past were doing their cunning and not so cunning work. Tom's knowledge for this thoroughly interesting topic is unmatched. His serious knowledge of the history of other significant historical places and events speckled with his dry "Bastan" humor. Made this trip extremely worthwhile. The duration was four hours long which also included a Lobster dinner at a local eatery on the south Boston harbor. I haven't laughed this hard in a long while. If you are in beantown for a spell. I highly recommend you and you motley crew join Tom for an interesting alcohol added trip back in time. At 9:30 am the kiosk to buy tickets was open. However, if you already purchased tickets on line, you check in around the corner by the gigantic dinosaur under the black Boston Duck Tours umbrella. Captain Kim manned the Duck vehicle except for part of the tour on the Charles River when customer Katia from Texas volunteered to steer up and down the river. Ben, narrator shared info of how the history we learned in school was totally wrong. Who we thought were responsible for the Declaration of Independence were corrupt, spread propaganda about the Boston Massacre which started as an accidental rifle shot went off and to cover up lives were lost in the confusion. They names we thought were great men were actually planners of the Boston Tea Party. He even dispelled the story of Paul Revere riding through the streets shouting the British are coming... that shattered how history was portrayed and actually was a sham. Ben did point out The Union Oyster House where we chose to have lunch at after the duck tour. He also shared tidbits about Leonard Nimoy, where Kennedy used as a permanent address and how Adam Sandler is a regular whenever he visits Boston.

The driver kindly explained to people he was full and spent a lot of time trying to convince existing passengers to "make room" by piling on top of another, which is unpleasant when we clearly paid for separate tickets. It's not our fault you reduced your service to every 30min in the rain? Also, the trolleys have no windows, which means in the rain they have these plastic flaps that come down and zero ventilation. this meant the plastic fogged up from the heat and we could not see anything. Some of us struggled to breathe inside with no air circulation, and with no umbrella bags we also sat in puddles of water while getting soaked. I feel with the amount of rain Boston sees, the trolley tour should have a solution or not operate.

At the end of the tour, there is a tea room and gift shop. Overall, I think its a fun activity worth trying. You get to learn a lot about the Boston Tea Party and the Revolutionary War.

Improved a lot over the years, Boston Tea Party museum has improved!…read more For our tour/experience, we joined the town meeting hall room where we were guided through some background before the Boston Tea Party took place with actors bringing the history to life with their own experience Each of the attendees received a card to tell us who we were. Now, our actor, character's name, was Peter. They had a little of a quieter voice so I could hear them clearly but it was a little challenge. We went from the meeting room to the boat where we had a limit opportunity to throw tea off the ship. Children were the primary participants in our group of 40-50 people. Then we went into this theater area with moving portraits and wide-length screen to hear the story of the museum. The tour ends in Abigail Tea Room and I recommend checking out all of the tea because it is graded based on the popularity in the 1770s from most expensive to cheapest. When I have visitors, I will go back again and glad to see such a robust experience.
