Vital Kitchen did a pop up at my gym, Eado Fitness, this week, so I decided to finally give them a…read moretry! I've purchased meals from Snap Kitchen before, so these run about the same price - $11/$12 or so per meal, cheaper for breakfast items, and a tad more expensive if you want the large size options.. which I believe go for $14ish. They had samples of couscous, which was delicious, so I was super excited to try some of the main items. I opted for the Creamy Chopped Chicken Sandwich and the Almond Crusted Chicken Parm. I went home and tried the sandwich right away after my WOD and saved the chicken parm for lunch! *Creamy Chopped Chicken Sandwich - can you believe this is dairy free AND gluten free? It comes with a small Arugula salad on the side with some blueberry vinaigrette and OMG everything tasted so delicious! I was pleasantly surprised at how much flavor was in everything and how well everything was seasoned. The chicken sandwich was creamy and delicious, the bread being GF was a bit on the crumbly side, but it was tasty and I didn't mind it. The bf didn't like the bread so much, but he's a different species and is picky about everything! I loved the sandwich and that dressing on the arugula salad was yummy! Why can't I make healthy dishes this tasty myself?! At 407 calories with 30g of protein, the macros on each meal fantastic. *Almond Crusted Chicken Parm - again, very wowed by the flavors of this dish. The chicken is cut up into pieces for you, even though it doesn't look like it. They think of everything don't they?! It made it way easy to eat during lunch. The chicken was NOT dry at all, very well seasoned and moist, and definitely tasty. That marinara sauce was yum and paired so well with the zucchini noodles! I devoured this dish, just like the other one! 297 calories and 27g of protein! Winning!!! I loved both dishes I bought, and they rotate their menu online so you can pick and choose your meals. They have grab and go locations and also, if you order in advance, you can select a pick-up location closer to you and they'll have them ready the next week if you order by a certain day! Never cheat again when you have the ease of VK at your service! I love that my gym is now a pick-up location for VK and I'm definitely looking forward to ordering and trying out more items on their menu soon! Also, packaging is microwaveable and recyclable! Love love love!

I ordered the 4 meat combo and doubled on the meat. Which is confusing. Why offer a 4 meat plate but only serve three meats (ribs, brisket and sausage) so I was curious to know what the single portion of brisket was so I convinced a coworker to order the 2 meat. So now to the part you're wanting. The meat is HELLLLLLLA dry and old!!!!! I understand a lot of the meats are prepped but it's been drying out toooo long!!! The ribs still had membrane on the back of the rib and the brisket was damn near an inner tube. The sausages were undercooked. More like all the meat was steamed and not smoked. Take a look at the pics for clarification. The servers were ok, a little pushy though. The atmosphere is nice but I definitely didn't come here for that. This place definitely is not a try again for me

This counter service bbq restaurant is located on Cutten close to the Beltway and Hwy 249. I've…read moreeaten there twice. First of all this is primarily an outdoor restaurant that has tables with umbrellas covering them in a rustic farm type setting. Fortunately there is a small house next to it that offers indoor seating and is cooled and heated along with restrooms. The exterior and interior decor is quite cute and is a major point for eating here. Whoever did the decorating did a good job. My first visit was for a brisket sandwich combo with chips and a drink for $10. This sandwich had plenty of sliced brisket on sandwich bread. The meat was a little tough but my biggest complaint about this meal was the bread. After adding some of their tasty table bbq sauce the bread gave away almost immediately and this became a knife and fork meal quickly. I am surprised that the chef would use regular white sandwich bread as it never had a chance. I wouldn't order a sandwich here again as long as they use sandwich bread. Big mistake. The price was right but the food wasn't (2). A couple of weeks later I returned to try a 2 meat plate of ribs and pulled pork with sides of beans and potato salad for $14. This meal was much better. The first thing I noticed was the quantity of meat as it was a very generous amount. The two ribs were large, meaty and tender. Also the pulled pork with their bbq sauce was good tasting too. The beans only consisted of the beans and sauce but had a pleasant taste and the mashed potatoes were of the mustard flavor but mellow in flavor. For $14 this was a lot food and I enjoyed all of it (3.5). The prices here are reasonable and serving sizes above average so there is value to eating here. The meats and sides are all acceptable just beware of ordering a sandwich. They should really consider going to hamburger buns or Texas Toast to solve that problem. The decorations are very rustic Texas theme oriented and you will enjoy them. However on both of my visits I sat inside due to the flies!
