While you wait, you get free coffee or water, and snacks. I also tried their tire service. You have to wait a day while they order your tires since they do not stock tires in the shop, but their prices are competitive and they do an excellent job. They will also replace your window wipers even if you do not purchase them there. They also perform a number of other mechanical tasks. They do a suburb job keeping the place clean and even though it was opened years ago, it still looks new inside and out. They have my endorsement. I asked them to please check all my fluids and the air in my tires, which they were happy to do. The technician told me I needed break fluid. I found this interesting, because my car had just turned 40,000 miles and I had never in my life added break fluid to a vehicle. He said to take it to a brake place and mentioned two, and have my brake pads checked and the fluid adjusted. After getting home, I thought, "Why didn't he top off the brake fluid?" I went back the next day and was told "they don't do that," and they suggested going across the street to Tire Discounters. Tire Discounters told me that brake fluid is not something people "top off" or add at home due to its flammability and that they needed to schedule me an appointment to have the brake pads checked. This was a huge waste of time and effort that should have been explained better and more thoroughly by the Valvoline Team. Thankfully, the car checked out great at Tire Discounters and they did not charge me anything and I've had no issues with the car. I had to knock a star for the poor communication with the Tech at Valvoline. Also, I don't like that Valvoline doesn't check your brake lights, head lights, turn signals and horn. As you know, its impossible to check these things yourself. I had them replace my rear window wiper blade and, to their credit, they did a good job on that.

Luckily we did this, because the oil that they had put in was thin, looked like muddy water, and smelled like gasoline. There hadnt even been 20 miles put on it. We don't know if they never actually changed it or what, but something was bad wrong with this situation. We were furious and will NEVER go there again. A total waste of $40 dollars and could have potentially ruined a perfectly good motor.
