We really enjoyed ourselves. It was a potluck type offering but you could also have your own stuff. Everyone was very shareful and kind to us strangers. Then again, we brought 12 persons. I would definitely come back. Oh yeah, i am back on Thursday because my wife comes to Bingo with her friend :)

It is also used for city council meeting so its location is well known within the city. Getting in and out is a bit of wait as Garvey is a major thoroughfare and traffic often backs up at Garvey and Rosemead. Sometime I turn on Lee Street to get around the jam. But I digressed. Back to the Center. For some reason I can't explain, I used to refer to this center as the senior center. I often see people playing table tennis, and hold yoga/dance & exercise classes here. Come on by when you are in the area. Staff at the reception counter are great resources to answer questions.

Whether it's military related or if someone just rents out the hall, this is a great place to be. Any food they cook and also the things they do for the support of our past and current military is so appreciated!!! All the workers here, the cooks, bartenders, manager, and any other miscellaneous employees or volunteers are all such down to earth people. I am so privileged to even be invited to great events they have here! It's a wonderful family here, even if you don't know many or even anybody here. I hope that anyone who reads this and has a chance to come here really enjoys themselves and the camaraderie here!!!

Even though it rained, which is almost unheard of at this time of year, we had an amazing time. Ken, the caretaker, is a very sweet man and very helpful. For a very low fee, we spent the night in the adorable private apartment, and some friends stayed in the bunkhouse, which was a really nice perk. Also, since you just pay per person, we were able to afford to reserve the venue the day before and the day after in order to set up and clean up - that was a real godsend. As others have noted, we had to hire a shuttle service, which did increase our cost. Unfortunately, it's not a very accessible site for people with disabilities. All in all, we're very happy we got married at Nature Friends, and look forward to spending more time there in the future!
