It's a short event from 10-2 but if you're local it's definitely worth a visit. They sell burgers and hotdogs, which they BBQ on site, if you want to have lunch there. I packed some snacks for the kids as it was a short event and it was not an issue taking it in. Everyone was so friendly and eager to help with activities.

The day of my event happened to be the worst weather BUT the team & Donna worked with the last minute changes to move all things inside and everything worked out better than expected. The bar was great- my guests hardly had to wait and kept the party going. Perfect space for any event!

SAC Relays, which is a track and field festival held annually in April. The Relays attract elite athletes from around the world and plenty of spectators too. Hilmer Lodge Stadium was named after Hilmer Lodge, who died in 1977. He was a part of the inaugural Mt. SAC Relays Hall of Fame and the actual inventor of the relay race. The Stadium was one of the host facilities for the 1968 Olympic trials. Hilmer Lodge features seating on both sides of the playing field with a seating capacity of 15,000 and a natural grass playing field. There is no seating at either end zone of the field. It is a great facility, however because of the lack of parking at the large Mt. Sac Community College, it can be a real frustrating effort to come here and try and park while school is in session. I deducted 1 YELP STAR for that.

It's not much, but it's hard to complain about a free activity. You get to learn about the history of the houses, and some of the exhibits were pretty interesting. Worth checking out at least once! You'll most likely spend about 1-2 hours here, but I can't really see how you'd spend much more than that. In total, there were about 4-5 rooms of things to look at. Parking - Plenty in the lot.

Well, the clubhouse was nice enough and seemed clean in the areas I saw, but to me, the crowned jewel of every country club should be its golf course. This is where I was extremely disappointed. I cannot imagine being a member at this country club and having a golf course in this condition. I have seen municipal courses that don't require a tee time or greens fees in better shape! There were bare spots all over the "fairways," there was grass growing over the "sand traps," the "tee boxes" were uneven with sporadic grass. I honestly could not believe it. I am hopeful this course can be saved, because it actually could be nice. But it needs some serious love and maybe a Board that actually cares about their product. I bet membership would increase! Cheers!
