In the four years since I first saw this program, the only Cabaret at the Merc I missed is one night was when I was sick. This is a stellar program. There are so many things great about it. The talent is fantastic and the producers wonderfully match the music to the vocalists and band. The vocalists come from a variety of places and backgrounds that show the quality of their professionalism. The band is top notch. Leigh, the piano player, is an amazing pianist who adds a tremendous touch to the program. Will, one of the guitar players, will leave you craving for more. Not to play second place, the venue is part of what makes this program so fun. It is a very intimate setting, where there is frequent banter between the audience and the performers. The feel is light-hearted and you can tell the performers truly enjoy participating. The fun of sitting a few feet from extremely talented people and taking in beautiful music is an experience. Each theme presented stands on its own and range from Broadway to rock to soul. Am I over-the-top for this program.....yes!

Downstairs is very focused on Temecula history, especially from a Native American and mission culture history perspective. Upstairs has a fun temporary exhibit featuring many oversized Charlie Brown cartoon strip replicas on the walls. In addition, there's a TON of hands-on rooms, displays, and stuffed animals for kids to interact with, including a full sized horse . This place is a MUST for curious kids! There's also a great tribute to the local writer Earle Stanley Gardner with tons of signed books, family historical photos, and a replica office; I learned a lot! The only restrooms are in a separate building and are like clean beach bathrooms. I never did find the stairs, but was told they have some.

I had a surprise party for my mom and she was the happiest I've seen her in a while when she saw the Dancers come out and do their thing wow she was floored. I would most definitely hire Vylani's again. 10 Stars

But the staff was on it and got things back up and running quickly. They even made good and credited us above and beyond what we lost during down time. It was the perfect time to refuel anyway. We have visited multiple times in the past without any issues, except the fact that they were closing early, but this time, we found the experience less than satisfactory. Your phone line indicates that you are open until 7 PM from Tuesday to Saturday and until 5:30 PM on Sundays. Online it says till 5:30pm. However, when I called to confirm your hours prior to our visit, no one answered. I arrived at 4:32 PM on my daughter's birthday, the day she had been eagerly looking forward to painting. To our dismay, we were informed that we could not paint, even though there was still an hour before closing time. We had planned to make bracelets, have a hat made, and enjoy the painting experience together. I understand that circumstances can vary, but it was disheartening to be turned away in such a manner, especially on a special occasion. She could have offered to let her paint for only 30 mins or whatever would allow her to close on time. She just seemed like she didn't want us there because she was on a time crunch to leave. Mind you the business is completely empty so you would think you'd want to make money. I believe it would be beneficial to ensure that your hours are accurately reflected on your phone line and to allow customers to enjoy their time until closing. We really loved this place but are definitely turned off now.
