Specifically shouting out a few nurses that really made a difference for me were Jillian, Bre, Lakita, Katie and Caitlyn (if the names were wrong or spelled wrong I'm sorry, I was a little loopy a lot of the time). Honestly my whole care team was amazing. I'm coming back to this labor and delivery for my next baby because I know I'm going to get the best care.

Today's interview with the Providence Emergency Department Crisis Unit, once again, several people…read moreinitially presented for the interview panel. The Program Coordinator Behavioral Health Services, an LMHC, I would have to say, was the one person who coordinated this interview who had the least social and professional personality and presented as "stand-offish". It was embarrassing that this credentialed individual in my field of work (mental health) would not have better interview skills than this, but it is the reality of Providence that they hired her. The Program Coordinator was vague and uninviting, and when asked about the next step in the interview process, she immediately dodged the question by saying they had several more interviews this week and into next week. However, I asked when I would know the outcome. One interviewer, a manager, struggled to ask his questions (i.e., speaking and coordinating his words were difficult), and another nurse manager asked when I was completing my doctorate, which was already on my resume. The manager who was struggling to speak because my PsyD from an APA-approved university asked that, once I finished, I move to the other state where the degree came from. Before this question, I had already mentioned that I live in Washington, that my family is in Washington, and that this was our "forever" home, but he asked again. The interview began with six participants, but by the end, only three remained on the call. Attendees dropped off while I was answering the interview questions. Leaving a virtual interview abruptly, without explanation, is generally considered unprofessional and discourteous, as it shows a lack of respect for the candidate's time. Although technical issues can occur, professional etiquette suggests that an interviewer should acknowledge the issue, offer an apology if feasible, and arrange a reschedule. Moreover, the meeting was intended to be an interview, but it lacked structure; the questions posed were random and were made spontaneously by each interviewer. Due to the virtual format, we encountered connectivity issues that caused an echo when we spoke, as well as delays in the sound from the management officials. Still, be mindful that this is not how you treat an applicant by making them responsible for resolving connectivity issues and take the time to explain what this job entails. Not one manager took the time to discuss the position. This is an organization that may (or may not) pay well. However, the fact that people in management positions who hire for the emergency department and a crisis unit cannot have better communication or interview skills is clearly wasting massive amounts of money on useless interviews. It leaves an applicant to believe there is no accountability, and if the public does their research, they will find comments like, "...multiple nurses walked by and did not check on me or say anything to the nurse assigned to me. They have that 'if it is not my patient, it is not my problem' attitude..." The response is probably how the staff feel about their job today. Again, I recommend that you save your skills and go somewhere where you feel valued from the start of your interview through the hiring process. Avoid the Providence Health System (especially in Olympia, Washington) as a whole.

Staff is friendly, helpful, and caring. My regular doctor was Terra Grandmason, and it broke my heart when she left. I feel she is by far the best doctor to have ever passed through that hospital. I was always in and out within an 1 1/2hrs. E.R. is MUCH slower... I came in one night because I had been in excruciating pains for days and eventually was in so much pain I couldn't move and my fiancé had to actually help me get dressed and brush my hair because I was unable to. I arrived and had to wait nearly 6 1/2 hours just to get seen and get results back from X-Ray/MRI. My nurse and doctor clearly hadn't communicated, seeing how my doctor prescribed me something for pain and my nurse claimed he didn't plan to give me anything for my pain. I ended up going home and returning at 2am because the pain worsened and I started vomiting. Turned out the nurse was a moron and missed that he did prescribe me something and they ended up shredding the paperwork instead of calling me back or faxing it over to the pharmacy etc. THEN come to find out the second doctor that night prescribed me a MOOD stabilizer and something for anxiety instead of something for my pain. My mom's a nurse and when she saw what I was taking she was livid. Needless to say I'll never return to their E.R. again. Incompetent people working in there.

When my friend explained that she had already addressed the concern that was delaying the endoscopy, the anesthesiologist, Michael S. Fisher, became combative and judgmental. Another physician, Bisher Abdullah, also raised his voice at both of us. When we were simply trying to understand why the procedure could not continue, both physicians responded with hostility and impatience. At one point, my friend gently lifted the adhesive around her catheter--not removing it, only loosening the tape because of previous painful experiences--and clearly communicated this. Despite that, Fisher began yelling at her again. The level of disrespect and lack of professional bedside manner we experienced was shocking. My friend was not treated with the dignity and care that patients deserve. If possible, I strongly recommend seeking treatment elsewhere, as our encounter with these physicians was rude, dismissive, and entirely unprofessional.

We drove to Harbor Regional and were immediately greeted with kindness and understanding from the front desk (night crew) I was seen right away and gotten my labs and vitals done immediately. They were very attentive to me and kind. I was brought in the back and given pain medication and wasn't just left sitting there in pain for hours on end, so I was feeling better almost immediately! I also work in healthcare so I was understanding about labs taking a little bit. I ended up getting my medication to treat my illness and was sent on my way in a timely manner :) The Doctors and Nurses were so wonderful to me and patient. I believe shift switch occurred before I left and the day time Nurses were so kind as well. I couldn't have asked for a better experience being scared and in pain, hours away from home. Thank you Harbor Regional! Two days later and I'm good as new.

This review is specifically to Harbor Regional Health & Diagnostic Imaging's scheduling department…read more On Friday, April 3rd, I unfortunately missed their call to set up an appointment. I returned their call the following Monday with no answer after several rings, Tuesday the same thing. Wednesday, a young lady answered the phone and told me she was not the scheduling person and could not make an appointment for me. My wife was skeptical that the person I spoke with in the scheduling department was actually unable to schedule an appointment for me, so she called them the following day, only to be met with the same response by the same person. On April 20th, 17 days later, I finally received a return call, but unfortunately missed their call by about a minute. I immediately called them back only to get an answering machine requesting my information. I finally gave up on them and asked my primary care provider for a different referral and he referred me to Pulse Imaging in Olympia. Pulse Imaging immediately scheduled me in. Now that the imaging has already been completed I have yet to hear back from Harbor Regional Health & Diagnostic. Their scheduling department is severely lacking!
