I had my initial visit with Dr. Noh, then they called me and scheduled another visit, but instead of with the doctor, it was to be seen by the nurse practitioner. I have had care by practitioners in the past and I have not had even one good result. Every medical issue addressed by the practitioners previously, were never resolved. They schedule appointment after appointment to generate revenue and do not treat anyone properly. After 3 years and no end results, I dropped that service. I stressed this concern with the doctors office and they shrugged it off like it was no big concern for them. So, I went to see her and she put in a request for treatment from my insurance company. I was told that it would possibly take up to 2 weeks to hear back from them. So, I waited and waited. After 4 months, I sent an email asking why it was taking so long. I was told that sometimes the insurance company's get busy and take a little longer to reply. So, I waited another week, messaged again and received no reply back. I messaged 3 additional times and still not reply. It has now been over a year since then and today, I received a letter fro Dr. Noh's office that stated that their records show I was due to have a follow up visit, and to please contact them to schedule a visit. What I am confused about is how they have records that I am due for a follow up visit when I did not receive any type of treatment from them. So, there is nothing to follow up for. I am seriously spooked about this because of the incompetence regarding this issue. They should not have any records in my file as to treatment because I received not at all. So, did they treat someone else and log it in my file, or what?? Thank god, they forgot to administer my treatment because no telling what the outcome or dangers would be for that, considering that they completely failed to keep my records in order and do not know that I was not treated. I do not tolerate such incompetence, especially when it concerns my health and well being. Not to mention that I have been forced to wait another year with my condition worsening daily. I just thank god that I did not need surgery, because that quite possibly could have been even more dangerous. I do not ever plan to return to Dr. Noh's care. Or non-care! Wendy

From the beginning, it felt like her needs and comfort were not being taken seriously. Less than a day after her procedure, staff began pushing for her discharge even though she clearly expressed that she was not ready and was still in significant pain. It was alarming to see such urgency to release her without properly addressing her condition or ensuring she felt stable enough to leave. Throughout her stay, there was also a lack of basic respect for her requests. She repeatedly asked staff to close the door when entering and leaving her room, but this was often ignored. It may seem like a small thing, but when you're in a vulnerable state, privacy and comfort matter a lot. The most troubling part was the lack of responsiveness to her pain. At one point, she called for help five times while in excruciating pain and received no assistance. When I went to the charge nurse station to ask for help, I was met with a dismissive and rude response. Instead of offering help or directing me constructively, the nurse simply told me it wasn't their section and that I needed to go elsewhere, with no sense of urgency or concern. Additionally, when my girlfriend asked for help with something as simple as a leg warmer, the nurse she spoke to acted as though the request was unreasonable and refused to assist her. This kind of behavior made her feel dismissed and uncomfortable during an already difficult time. Overall, the level of care, empathy, and professionalism we experienced fell far below what we expected. Patients recovering from surgery deserve to feel heard, supported, and cared for -- not ignored or brushed off. I hope the hospital takes feedback like this seriously and works to improve both patient care and staff responsiveness.

Despite a year-long and strict "no…read morehospital trips under any circumstances" came to Franciscan Hospice House because my pain was unmanageable, which I have previously gone to ER's to aid in getting some relief, but was the only met with indifferent, yet judgy doctors who labeled me as a drug seeker, and didn't care if there was anything wrong with me. Especially considering I have an issue where I metabolize medication too quickly, making it far less effective, and making me need higher doses of everything, which does not go over well in the ERs. I had to become used to the fact that if I were going to an ER visit or a hospitalization, I was going to end up going home in worse condition then when I had gotten there, pain-wise. I was told that this place would be different in hospice is different, but I still expected it when I came here a couple nights ago. I was met with absolutely nothing but the opposite of everything I just described. All this time, I've been wondering where all of the good-hearted people, who got into medicine to help others to heal their pain, judgement free, had gone, and I seem to have stumbled upon them right here at the Franciscan hospice House. I can't say enough how amazing each and every person who works here is, and I wish I could recognize it in a way where I'm able to give back some of what they've given me, but posting my truth on the on this internet website will just have to do. All my dozens of ER visits and hospitalizations I have experienced in my adult life, made me feel like I was doing something wrong when I needed and asked for some kind of pain control, to the point where I was ashamed to even ask. I unlearned that behavior here, and I don't know if I could have gone on without that changing. I found no nefarious actions, or questionable intentions in anything that is done here by any of the people who work here, it's just good people. I was unaware they still existed. It's like finding a freaking unicorn on a bit stunned and unsure of what to do next, but this seems like the right step. I almost don't want to make any sudden movements and in fear that it might spook them and everything will go back to the hellish ways that I'm used to. If you're considering getting their services, my only advice is stop waiting and just do it, because for me, nothing but good came out of it. Your life might seem like that too, but if anyone were to pull out some more good parts of life, it would be them, and it would be here (I'm actually still a patient here as of right meow

She also kept pressuring us to press the button for more drugs when the patient was already comfortable. Also, the nurse on duty when my mom died was a bit inexperienced. We had to keep calling her back to point out that her breathing changed and she kept saying she's not leaving yet. Maybe the staff and this place should be more monitored/audited here.

The other two I haggled with them for years to get right. It took YEARS of constantly calling them to get them to give me full bottles instead of bottles with just a few pills in them. For a long time they would still force me to renew prescriptions in-person every time I finished off a bottle. When I finally get them to do it over fax via the pharmacy it takes WEEKS!!! The renewal request is just sitting on a desk for weeks at a time! Finally my prescription insurer kept trying to reach out to them so that my renewals would be fully covered. For a long time I was paying mostly out of pocket for my bottles without even realizing it and this was totally avoidable. I've been paying HUNDREDS that I didn't need to pay! These idiots wouldn't even acknowledge that this was their responsibility even when the insurer was telling me that they needed the doctor's approval and have been unsuccessfully trying to reach him! My previous doctor: 1) Made sure I had full bottles without asking 2) Made sure I only had to renew my prescription annually without asking 3) Made sure my insurer was fully covering without asking The only reason I switched was because that once a year I had to drive up to the UW campus of my previous doctor whereas Multicare is a stone throw from where I live.
