Best burgers in St. Charles county by FAR! This little local family-owned sports bar has a tiny flat top grill and one deep fryer and yet they serve up the best burgers around! It must be the quality of their ground beef or I don't know what, but they are super tasty and I love the grill flavor and they are SO juicy and cooked perfectly medium. My favorite is the Hawaiian burger with pineapple and teriyaki sauce. It is amazing and I crave it weekly. SO good! You can swap onion rings or a side salad instead of fries. The side salad is a generous portion & their honey mustard dressing is really good. This sports bar has a lot of high top tables and it just a few booths and plenty of seating at the bar all of the chairs are seated really close together. They have a lot of trivia nights and a loyal local following. They are always busy! They also offer an outside patio during nice weather but be aware this is Saint Charles County and they allow smoking on the patio. Located in a small strip mall, parking is never a problem. Located in a strip mall off of Mexico Road, Mascots is the classic bar and grill serving great bar and grill food. First they have music bingo several night a week as well as a variety of happy hour specials. If you're a fan of Sundays, Mascots has $6.99 wings as well as $5 cheeseburger and fries/tots/onion rings during NFL games. Mascots has plenty of space for large groups so please check in before to ensure your party is taken care of. They do have arcade game if you or the kids are needing a fix. We took advantage of the wings(Several sauces to choose from) and the burger and rings. Ordered a side of fries just to try them out and were nice and hot as expected. Plenty of drink specials for anyone's palette. Service and cleanliness were great and very attentive to check in on us through our visit. My wife and I decided to come here because our credit card was giving 1,000 bonus miles if we tried it out. How can you say no to that right. We showed up on a Sunday afternoon and sat at the bar. We were greeted right away and ordered a few drinks and an appetizer. The bartender recommended the Buffalo chicken egg roll which was delicious. I probably could have eaten a lot more of those. My wife ordered a taco salad as her meal and I ordered the 5.00 cheeseburger which I think is a Sunday special. The cheeseburger was delicious and had just the right amount of seasoning. The pub chips were good as well. My wife said the salad was good, but needed a little more ground beef. The food here is great, however, the service SUCKS and it's extremely noisy! Every time we come in here the service is so slow and the servers rarely come to check on us. If we ask for ketchup we may never get it. And the noise level is extreme. We only come back for the food hoping things have improved but they never do. read more

First visit, I had the dry rub wings and the toasted ravs. Wings were juice, not overcooked and had a ton of flavor. The toasted ravs were so good. I came back the next day to have more. Again, the toasted ravs were perfectly cooked. The ranch dip was a great complement. The service is stellar. I experienced two different shifts, and both times the staff was attentive and friendly. I opted for one pork taco (it was good) at the recommendation of my server (he was awesome!) and one beef taco. I enjoyed the beef one a little bit more. Great flavors, thick sour cream on the side and salsa that's just a tad spicy. They also offer chicken or steak options on tacos. My server also mentioned that they were on Groupon and that I should save my receipt because there would be a coupon on it. (I didn't get an itemized receipt, so I think I missed out on that one.) I did, however, go to Groupon and purchase it immediately. I wasn't able to use it this time though, as the Groupon is good for a two person meal. That just gives me an excuse to bring mom b, which is how we originally heard about the place: via Groupon! Side note: I was surprised to see a female employee pull up at the same time I did - on a rainy day - and take up a parking spot directly in front of the doors, with plenty of other further spots open in the large lot. Unfortunately this place has went down hill. A group of us went last night ( 11/02 ) and it was a mess! Our server was nice but the language and unprofessionalism that was seen from the employees was just ridiculous. Maybe if they were less worried about drinking while on the job more things would be taking care of. It was crazy to witness the employees taking multiple shots and then getting loud and obnoxious. I understand this is a bar but someone needs to reevaluate the way the employees act. This is a family owned restaurant ( at least it used to be) and if I am not sure of someone new is in charge or someone else has taken over for the family but this is embarrassing. While we did have dinner it was over cooked but that was expected as well. We ordered food only to wait because it seemed like the cooks were once again as I stated before worried about the drinking. Went for the first time last night with my son's baseball team for our annual raffle. Had a blast!!! The burgers are hand pattied and amazing, cheesesteaks could rival Philly, and I stole most of my son's tater tots, they were so good. I had a burger with tater tots. It was surprisingly good and a good value. Based on one visit, I'd go back for the food for sure. Since it was slow and I was at the bar, service was fine, attentive, friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to see they are promoting 7oz Miller ponies for a buck. Haven't seen those for a long time in Missouri, and I've been actively looking. They're the perfect beer back for a Wisconsin-style Bloody Mary! Rest of menu is basic bar food from what I can tell. The only reason my star rating isn't higher is the atmosphere/ambiance. It's sort of junky/dirty/worn out and uninspired. Basically a big room with tables and some games and TV's. I get it's trying to be a sports bar but the vibe comes off as more of a garage than anything else. My guess is it was put together on a tight budget. I am super disappointed. Started going here a few months ago and it was great. The food was soooo good (white chicken nachos, bacon wrapped corn dog, blt taco 2 strips bacon each, garlic cheese curds, taco salad). All of was excellent!! But I guess it was due to the owner cooking. The last 3 times we went there have been some younger guys and it's not as good. The blt taco has possibly a half strip of bacon each, white chicken nachos is a stretch barely any chicken (weirdly chewed up meat) to be found so it's chips with queso, garlic cheese curds were barely a handful. I thgt maybe we just hit the wrong day and tried 2 more times Nope same barely anything for the money. We probably won't be going back which is sad cause it was such a cool concept. And I have to mention as a lot of people have stated the service is bad. The bartenders and wait staff are more interested in doing shots than waiting on anyone.
