As usual, Nando's did us proud. We didn't get starters, and no puddings, but we really enjoyed the selection and choice for mains. My wife and I had the boneless platter and the kids each had 10 wings (one plain, one roulette!). The selection of sauces allowed me to hot the up on my plate. I love the garlic, mixed with lemon and extra hot. The perfect blend of heat and flavor. Most of us had chips, but we also had really creamy coleslaw and the mucho peas (gorgeous, by the way!). I do love the fact that they have unlimited drinks. Without that it can add a lot to your bill at the end of the day. Tip: As we work for the NHS, they gave us a generous discount on our bill! Excellent food, great value for money.

It does mean I know what goes into the food here and how it's prepped. I know the quality of the chicken is top notch never frozen and very fresh. Veggie stuff not so great as it is frozen and halal chicken at the quay well that depends who the manager is ehh Mike. Here with a group of 5 another birthday dinner. Seated straight away, we arrived about half 6 on a Monday night so I wouldn't expect a wait and it was fairly quiet. I had a half chicken extra hot with piri chips and garlic bread. Garlic bread probably my least favourite side but it's been a while since I had it and it still is nice. Been a while since I've had a nandos so the extra hot was hard to take. But I triumphed in the end and enjoyed every minute of it. Delicious as ever, the consistency of nandos is great, they have a simple formula and they do it well. The piri chips are a must youre mad if you don't make that one of your sides. Nandos has steadily gone up in price and isn't as good value for money as it once was. But it still is cheaper than most place and when the chicken quality is as good as it is you can complain. All in all nice ambience decent service, though it is limited as its not table service, I'll be back soon.

When you arrive, you are met with what I can only describe as a manky curtain - something that would normally really annoy me, but I totally forgive them.. Once you get past that you're presented with a surprisingly large, and very sleekly decked out, restaurant. There's all sorts of deals on here for bento boxes and lunch deals. But the full menu is also very reasonably priced. I had the ramen Chilli chicken. And oh my God! It was easily the best I've ever had. Very, very spicy. But sweet. And full of peppers and perfectly cooked chicken. My friend had the chicken katsu curry - and again, said it was the best he'd had. The staff were super cheery and really helpful. For 2 mains and 2 cokes the bill came to less than £24. I sinceriously can't wait to go back for more.

This was one of the first restaurants I dined at in Glasgow with my now husband after our fateful meeting in Japan, so it is very special to the both of us. I'd hopped on a plane to the other side of the world to visit a man I'd known for 14 days, fell in love and moved here. We've returned here loads of times since then, but I haven't been to Nanakusa for nearly a year. In my endless quest of eating out as many places in Glasgow as possible, sometimes the real gems get left behind for the new and exciting places. I was so glad to return last night for a UYE and see that nothing has changed since I first fell in love with Nanakusa (I was already in love with my husband by the time we ate here!) Now, Nanakusa. It does Japanese food, and it does it really well (see the aforementioned reference to meeting my husband in Japan!). I really love sashimi and there aren't enough places in Glasgow that I can eat it, so I always get a portion when I eat here. I also love takoyaki (octopus balls) and can't resist them here. I've tried them elsewhere but Nanakusa's are the best. The service is always friendly, smiling and helpful. It was a little slow last night but there were only two people working the whole restaurant, but none of us were in a particular hurry. I had a small glass of rosé with my meal and they also have a selection of saké and plum wines, as well as Japanese beers for that really authentic taste. The food arrived quickly and as soon as it was ready. Two people had ordered bento boxes and these arrived about 5 minutes after everything else. The waiter seemed really conscious of this and kept coming over which was a nice touch. I loved all my dishes, the takoyaki and salmon sashimi and I also had the chicken teriyaki. Sides like rice and noodles are optional which is great if you're all about the protein. Downsides? As I said, service was a bit slow. I'm also not a big fan of the lighting (the wall panels change colour) as it makes it hard to take nice food photos! Haha! Bench seating can be difficult to navigate getting in and out of gracefully. None of these points are worthy of a star deduction in my mind though as the food is so damn good, I can excuse it all. Thanks Nanakusa for being just as amazing as you were 4 years ago.

As the Duke of Paradise I feel it is my duty and indeed my honour to award this exquisite…read morerestaurant 5 stars. Paradise is one of the finest looking restaurant in all of Glasgow. Its actually like a mini museum with hundreds of wonderful and ancient looking Persian artefacts and paintings adoring the walls and bookshelves. I could spend hours looking at all the stuff, but its not the real reason why I come here. Of course, the real reason is for the sumptuous Persian food. Persian or Iranian food is famous for its kebabs and these guys do some of the meanest kebabs I've ever had the pleasure of eating. In fact Persia offer a plethora of wonderful kebabs, like minced lamb, lamb fillet, chicken, fish and prawn. The kebabs can come singly or in various combinations and with different marinades and seasoning's. If you are struggling on what to order I would totally recommend a mixed kebab which comes in portions for 2 or 4 people. The mixed kebab for 4 also includes succulent grilled lamb chops, about 8 other various kebabs and rice or naan. I'm not even a fan of lamb chops, but in Paradise they taste so good. For a price of £49 this is an outstanding bargain. For non kebab lover there are also the famous Persian stews. These are often very rich and fragrant made with interesting spices and citrus fruits for example. For vegetarians, these will be you main options. The starters are equally good. As some of you know I am a bit of an aubergine freak and the Mirza Ghasemi (Grilled aubergine, garlic, egg and tomato sauce) is outstanding and tastes brilliant with their freshly made naan bread. Another firm favourite of mine is the Olivieh Salad, which is deviliciously addictive. If you are an adventurous type you may well fancy a shot at some of the peculiar deserts. Although most are not really to my likin, take for instance the Falode (Noodles mixed with crushed ice, rose water and sugar, served with a slice of fresh lemon) or Fresh Carrot Juice and Ice Cream. They are pretty interesting but a bit odd for our western palate perhaps. The baklava is always a winner though and the portion size can feed a few. It's worthwhile mentioning that Persia doesn't serve alcohol which obviously keeps the cost of the meal down considerably. I've been visiting this place for years and the quality of food has always been excellent. Therefore, if you fancy a taste of heaven, I would definitely pick Paradise :)

At the…read moretime the chain was a fairly well kept secret in Scotland, so we felt an immense level of self satisfaction as we picked at the bones. Having exploded in number since then, Nando's is now popular and seems to be a current "in" thing to the extent that tedious people are leaving comments such as "NANDO'S! YUUUUMMMEEE!" on networking sites, between the comments about how much they love their iPhone and/or X Factor. Anyway, despite now being ubiqutous, Nando's is still fantastic, even if it does sometimes feel like a fast food joint with restaurant prices. It feels a bit scabby to go up to the counter to pay rather than have table service, but when you see your chicken carcass blackening away in the open plan kitchen, before arriving drenched in the hottest sauce they've got, you won't care. It's phenomenal, and a side of paprika fries won't do any harm either. Not a venue for a romantic date, but as a place to gorge it's unbeatable.

I knows it's Burns day tonight but our tummys at work were rumbling for some Nando's chicken. So…read morethe haggis, neeps and tatties were aff the menu today for me. I have mixed feelings over this Nando's. I remember when it arrived years ago and was the first Nandos in Glasgow. I had been first introduced to Nando's years before when I was down in London and we were told we just had to try and I really enjoyed it. I used to go here quite a lot with my former work friends for a girly night after work. As we usually went in the evening we always found we were in the minority of caucasian folks and I always wondered why. We found out that this Nando's caters for Muslims so therefore the meat is Halal. Ahhh, all explained! It was always very very busy too but we could always get a seat no problem. As of late I have been going with work folks for lunch, with a less busy, noisy atmosphere. If you haven't been before, you are seated with a menu, check the number of your table and then head up the tills, a bit like a posh McDonalds. Give them your number then order what dish you would like. The restaurant is chicken based but does have beef and veggie dishes on there too. I tend to order a single ckicken breast fillet either in a pitta or wrap with extra cheese and pineapple. I unfortunately cannae handle the heat of the spice so tend to stay with the lemon and herb or mango and lime. You can also have 1 or 2 sides like chips, coleslaw, spicy rice or corn on the cob etc. I do also love to get a cheeky wee order of grilled halloumi cheese. Yuuuuuuum! I have found that they don't always have it when I go in, so I get very excited if they have it, as it's super delicious. Since I have been going back to this branch I have always found something wrong, maybe I'm nitpicking but there's never any forks and you have to wait to get some, staff are a bit slow, in the sense we had to wait a while to get a seat on my last visit, there was loads of staff behind the counter but none of the shop floor. I think they do quite a lot of take away orders at lunch time. Not sure how it works but they were getting a few phone calls while I was up ordering my meal. Och, also the ice machine was broken. Meh! I do like the ickle crushed up ice. Apart from the niggles I do like Nando's. I also have a Nando's Card which is only available in Scotland. You collect your chillies online, through your registered card and then you can get free food. It's a bit better than the loyalty stamp card they used to have as you could only redeem for a 1/2 or full chicken, now you can redeem for appeteasers, wraps, pittas and burgers and also the 1/2 and full chicken. It's the same Nando's decor but I do like it. If you've not been I would advise you go and try. It's much much better than a KFC and not too expensive. Can't wait to start redeeming my chillies to get my free food.
