Masa Masa was such a cute little local gem in Roseville. It's a small neighborhood spot with the most fun, vibrant ambiance, big colorful murals, and super friendly staff. I also love that it's woman-owned. They honestly had me at house-made tortillas and sauces Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and creative. These are not your basic tacos. They have really unique combinations with meats, toppings, and sauces that all worked so well together. We tried a little bit of everything: Korean Beef, Al Pastor, QuesaBirria, Chicharrones, Garlic Shrimp, Hot Chicken, Sweet Pork Belly, the Al Pastor Mulita, and a Kids Carne Asada Burrito. My favorites were definitely the Al Pastor, Korean Beef, Hot Chicken, Sweet Pork Belly, and Garlic Shrimp. The Al Pastor was probably my favorite meat. It was super flavorful with roasted pineapple and had the perfect sweet and savory balance. The Korean Beef was so tender and paired really well with the spicy kimchi. The Hot Chicken was crispy, flavorful, and the slaw and pickles made it even better. The Sweet Pork Belly was juicy, sticky-sweet, and so good. The Garlic Shrimp was light, fresh, and paired with mango salsa and cilantro lime crema. The QuesaBirria had good flavor, but I think we waited a little too long to eat it, so it got a bit soggy. The Chicharrones were perfectly crispy and the citrus crema was really good. The Al Pastor Mulita had insane flavor, just a little on the smaller side. The Kids Carne Asada Burrito was simple, just meat and cheese, but it was the perfect portion and came with orange slices, which I thought was cute. The salsas were SO good too. Each one had its own kick. The red was mild, the green was medium, and the orange was HOT Overall, Masa Masa is such a fun spot when you want tacos that feel a little different and special. Creative flavors, house-made tortillas, flavorful sauces, cute ambiance, and friendly service. We'll definitely be back!

We ordered a bunch of items: Chips & Salsa Flaming Hot Cheese Sticks Mango Shrimp Tacos Chicken Quesadilla Quesabirria Tacos Margarita Churro Donut Service was phenomenal. Atmosphere is great. Food was delish! 10/10 We'll definitely be back soon!

Masa masa is absolutely amazing! I went on Thursday at 5pm and it was already packed inside. Food is served quickly so tables get changed over pretty fast. My husband got their fried fish taco which he loved and the birria had a nice cheese taste and paired perfectly with the consumme. I got the cauliflower taco and it was delicious, slight sweetness and pairs well with their sour cream creama. The Al pastor nachos and spicy elote are my favorites. You can also for the elote to be split in half and it is seasoned perfectly and the corn has a nice char on the outside. The Al pastor nachos are huge and easily can be shared with two people. I love how they have vinegar onions on there and their al pastor comes with pineapple pieces. I love pairing this with their green and habanero salsas and for a pro tip: you can dip their nachos in your leftover birria consumme if you order their taco For dessert we got their churro ice cream for the first time and asked for the caramel and ube sauces on the side. Oh my! This dessert was absolutely delicious. The churro comes out crispy on the outside, warm and nice and soft and doughy on the inside and pairs so well with the cold ice cream and sauces. We devoured this dessert in seconds and will definitely be ordering this again Workers are super friendly and it's a smaller family owned business. Come check this place out and definitely get the dessert!

Vegan burrito already taste tested. Approved.

Tried a variety of items and overall had a really great experience here. We ordered the tofu al pastor and adobo cauliflower tacos, plus a vegan burrito and vegan burrito bowl and honestly, everything was flavorful and well thought out. The tacos were all really good in terms of taste, but they were definitely on the messy side. Super full (like, generously packed) and pretty wet, so be prepared for things to fall apart a bit. I almost hate mentioning it because the flavors were spot on--it's just not first-date food unless you're comfortable with a little chaos The burrito bowl was my favorite of the bunch. Everything worked together perfectly, and I'd absolutely order that again. They also served three salsa cups. The standouts for me were the creamy orange one (very spicy, proceed with caution!) and the tomatillo salsa, which was so fresh and flavorful I could've honestly just sipped it like an Apéritif. One thing I really appreciated: they gave out large cups of water to go, which was such a nice touch. Service was excellent. The staff was friendly, patient, and especially great and knowledgeable about vegan questions. As someone who's always a little cautious about cross-contamination or hidden ingredients, I really appreciated that they took it seriously. They even add a note to make sure the kitchen prepares vegan orders carefully. Overall, a really solid spot with great flavors and thoughtful service. Bonus, well behaved dogs allowed on their patio.

We recently visited this Mexican fusion restaurant and were genuinely impressed by how creatively it blends bold traditional flavors with a modern twist. The elote corn was a standout -- perfectly grilled with a slight char, coated in a creamy, tangy sauce, and finished with just the right balance of spice and freshness. It captured that classic street-style essence while feeling elevated and thoughtfully presented. Every dish we tried carried vibrant flavors and a playful, contemporary touch without losing its authenticity. To end the meal, the churro dessert with ice cream was absolutely amazing. The churros were warm, crisp on the outside, and soft on the inside, dusted generously with cinnamon sugar and paired beautifully with the cold, creamy ice cream -- creating the perfect contrast of textures and temperatures. The service was attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt lively yet comfortable, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and special nights out. It's a place that delivers flavor, creativity, and a memorable finish all in one experience.

Korean beef taco, shrimp taco, and fried fish taco!

This small, quaint and beautifully ambient Mexican restaurant is truly a gem! It's everything you could dream of when it comes to fresh, beautiful, and well thought out varieties (and their toppings) of tacos and burritos! Once we entered, I immediately felt welcomed, and the waft of their namesake (Masa), filled my lungs and told me instantly that they make their own tortillas fresh! I know that wonderful smell well from occasionally making my own tortillas! Since this was our first time dining here, it took us a few minutes to figure out which tacos we wanted to try because they all sounded so good! They have so many delicious sounding options and we each got three tacos. I have to say every taco that I had was really delicious and I would also have to say that were all super yummy and they had a lot of filling in each one!! My Husband really enjoyed his too, and his favorite was definitely the fried shrimp taco with the Elote on top and the chicharron taco. The Korean beef taco was so flavorful and delicious and I loved it except for it was really too spicy for me. I don't eat a lot of heavily spicy food, and I know this is Mexican food, but it was a little too hot for me, but I still loved it!! the shrimp taco I ordered had a lot of nice mango salsa on it. It was spicy too, but the mango helped cut it a little bit and it was absolutely delicious.. The fish taco was really, really good too!! I think next time we go I'm going to try one of their burritos and one of those amazing looking fried shrimp tacos My Husband had. You all have to try this place out!! I love supporting small businesses, especially restaurants, and I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants because they don't have the heart and soul that the small ones have! Oh, I didn't mention that you can see one of the employees making the corn tortillas behind the counter so you know you're in for a treat! I mean, who does this?! To the women who started this restaurant, and your employees, you all have worked hard to create a beautiful culinary experience! May you thrive and may the word get out about how fantastic you are!

The taco variety is super impressive and all are delicious. Keep in mind, the tacos are small so you will likely want to order several. The lobster taco is tasty but small so I do not think it's worth the price. My favorite is the garlic shrimp taco although the tofu pineapple taco was a close second favorite. The fish taco is quite tasty as well. Elote is good but I want to try the spicy elote next time. The surf and turf burrito is delicious. Add the green salsa and it's phenomenal. The house IPA and blood orange sangria were citrus forward and tasty. The churro donut is the show stopper! Service is phenomenal. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to see you happy. The ambiance is basic and there are limited seats inside but people leave often so just wait for a table. I'll go back to try other options. Parking gets packed so be patient.

Alright ladies, you made me say Mmmnnn! We were visiting friends that lived nearby and they recommended this place and mentioned it was women owned. We arrived for a late lunch this past Saturday. Its located in a newer shopping center. It is small inside, but big enough with about ten tables. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The menu also has a good variety but not too overwhelming. Prices for tacos is about $5.25 each unless you get the seafood ones which is about what you pay at most places for a taco. We each ordered 2 birria tacos, one carnitas and one grilled shrimp with nachos with Carne Asada to share. There is no complimentary chips n salsa. It is considered a side. Wait time was less than 15 minutes. They brought out the nachos first. It was half the size I expected for $14.00. The tacos were also super small... street taco size. First bite was okay but as we continued to eat, we couldn't stop! It just kept getting better and better. It was really really tasty. I kept saying Mmnnn which is a good sign. My taste buds don't say that a lot. Most of my reviews usually say yeah it was good but not memorable and I am not in a hurry to return. This was memorable. We kept talking about how good it was on the way home and looked forward to coming back. It is different. Its not a taqueria or even Mexican food per se. Ingredients were fresh and all of it was so full of unique flavors. I went to their website and read more about them. The owners were there serving and greeting customers. So personable and SO appreciative of every customer that walked in. You don't see that a lot. Plus they donate to the community. Prices are a little on the high side. You are paying for quality, not quantity. Figure avg $25 pp if you get a drink but you could get away with less on a lighter appetite. What we got was perfect although hubs was hungry again 2 hours later. Next time, I want to try their chicken taco and the churro donut dessert thing and look forward to our next visit. I wish we lived closer so it will have to be a destination. I always prefer to support the small business so give these ladies a try. It is freaking delicious!

I've been coming to Masa Masa since they opened, and my original Yelp review must have been wiped out when I accidentally edited instead of updating it. Total user error, but I don't mind rewriting it because this place continues to impress every single time. Masa Masa is always spotless, bright, and welcoming. From the moment we walk in, the team treats us like family. The owners are truly community-focused and it shows in how they interact with guests, support local events, and stay hands-on with quality. We can eat here multiple days in a row and never be disappointed. The consistency is unmatched. The flavors here are vibrant, layered, and deeply satisfying. The proteins are always fresh and perfectly seasoned. The Korean beef deserves its own sidebar because it is honestly the best Korean flavor profile we've experienced since moving from the Bay Area. It's savory, slightly sweet, and incredibly tender with that rich, marinated depth you'd expect from a specialty spot in San Jose or Oakland. The chorizo is another standout. It has the same bold, authentic, perfectly spiced flavor we grew used to from traditional taquerias in the Bay, the kind of chorizo that actually tastes homemade. The pastor is juicy and aromatic, the hot chicken nails the heat to crunch ratio, and both the grilled and fried shrimp are consistently plump and flavorful. They also offer delicious vegetarian and gluten free options, all prepared with the same care and fresh ingredients. Portions match the price and quality every time, which makes the whole experience feel elevated and worth it. The staff always gives thoughtful recommendations, and their seasonal items are some of the most creative, craveable dishes on the menu. You can tell they put real intention into each update. Their drink lineup is just as strong. The microbrew beers on tap rotate with great picks, the homemade frozen sangria is refreshing and surprisingly complex, and the Mexican Coke in a bottle adds that perfect nostalgic touch. The homemade salsas are fantastic too. The habanero salsa is extra bright, fiery, and definitely not for the faint of heart. Masa Masa continues to be one of the most consistent, flavorful, and genuinely welcoming spots in Roseville. Fresh ingredients, amazing flavors, friendly people, and a place that always feels like home. Highly recommend.

theeee only and best fried avocado taco! so unique and tasty... fish tacos and carnitas are delicious too. The elote is a must every time we pop in to grub. Oh! And the aguas frescas... refreshing and flavorful! The staff is wonderful, shout out to the owners for being so happy, personable and welcoming. Great to see the owners hustling along side the rest of the staff. The restaurant its self is small but mighty. Never feels crowded even when every table is just about taken. Cool murals and super wide tables for all the yumminess you'll order and enjoy.

Tacos for Valentines Day ummm, yes!!! Be Kind, Eat Tacos is their motto and I am in love!!! The hubs and I indulged in chips and salsa (trust me and mix in their habanero salsa, spicy and flavorful), spicy elote (they are what dreams are made of) and the surf and turf burrito (hello San Diego, we see you). The owners are the best! Don't wait, check them out!

Al pastor and Korean beef tacos
    Chris W.

Cute neighborhood fast casual spot with bright decor, super friendly service, and pretty great tacos! Had the pork al pastor and Korean beef tacos. Both were LOADED, easily 1.5-2 tacos worth of meat in each. The al pastor was fantastic, with large chunks of pineapple and the right amount of seasoning. The Korean taco was a bit over on the sweet side. Actually tasted better on a salty chip than in the taco. Didn't keep me from scarfing it all down :) Wife had asada and carnitas tacos. The bite I stole from the carnitas was the best bite of the meal. Next time it's carnitas for me!!

    Dog friendly patio?

Yes there is a patio and it is dog friendly. Take note...it's a very small patio in front of the doors.

    Do you have vegan options?

Masa Masa does have great vegan options! Starting with small plates, they have chips and salsa and chips and guacamole, and their tofu al pastor, adobo cauliflower, and fried avocado house tacos are all vegan as well!

I finally made it here on National Burrito Day! Naturally I had to order a burrito! LoL! I ordered the steak burrito "IG Style" ($0.55 extra) and dined in. First of all the burrito was huge! Presentation was pretty and quality was great! The IG Style is where they embellish your burrito with Cotija cheese and crema drizzle. Well, that burrito lasted me for lunch and dinner... delicious and flavorful. Friendly customer service too! They are open late until midnight from Tues to Sat so when you are having late night cravings don't get your tacos at Taco Bell, come here for tacos instead where the challenge you'll be asking yourself is "Street tacos or Zip tacos?"
