My mother has lived in 3 senior communities - this is the best for quality of care. Although she is…read morerelatively independent, the staff know her habits, check on her regularly, and are always happy to assist with any little request. The food is excellent, the common spaces are lovely (though we do wish they would leave the blinds open in the common room so that people could enjoy the outside light and gardens as well as the TV). They have recently updated the paint, furnishings and carpeting in the common areas so they are bright and fresh - I hope they do the same for the hallways in the residents' areas, as they are currently an 80s-ish gold tone which is not so bright and cheery as the common areas. Like many assisted living places, the apartments are small and closet space is minimal, and unfortunately, there is no basement storage available. But the rooms are kept clean (housekeeping is excellent). We paid extra to paint the apartment a brighter neutral color, with more light reflectivity, to brighten the room, and we put off-white area rugs over the brown carpet to lighten the right, which is especially important to vision-impaired seniors. Requests for maintenance (ie, fix blinds) can be slow, but the entire staff is cheery and kind. We have been happy at Robbins Brook and would recommend it to others who need assistance with daily living.

No one supervises them and only a few bother to check on the clients, except when begged for help or during meals. My mother was there for 3 months. I had to bring in extra care because her needs were not being met. They informed me at one point when Mom was becoming uncharacteristically agitated that she had not been given her meds for 3 days! We had to evacuate her to the nearby hospital emergency department where she was found to have a terrible UTI that had never been addressed by Concord Park. She very nearly died. After 4 days she was still not aware of her surroundings. We had to put her into rehab for a month to get her walking again and stabilize her meds. DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU DURING AN INTERVIEW. WHAT THEY SAY AND WHAT THEY DO ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONE DO NOT PUT THEM IN THIS HORRENDOUS FACILITY!

Dad was on oxygen with a machine in his unit and tanks to manage when he went for meals and all that ran very smoothly with his aides' care. Dad enjoyed the aides as well. When we initiated round the clock care he wasn't keen on having a "stranger" with him all the time but that feeling faded quickly as he bonded with the aides who helped him through his day. I very highly recommend Prime Home Care.
