Continuing on our Carnival Cruise, we stopped in La Coruna and after an awesome day of exploring we stopped by this restaurant in the middle of the old square.
We sat down and appreciated the large sign with prices so we decided on a couple of items. I am much more adventurous than my wife so we ordered a cheese plate [national cheese is what they call it] for her [safety] which came with a very generous portion of bread.
She always wants something sweet so we ordered a Tarta de Santiago which is a sweet bread with a powered sugar coating on top. It too was very good.
But the reason you come here is the Pulpo a feira. We got the half order and really enjoyed it. As I mentioned my wife is not that adventurous but she liked it too. It came on some potatoes in a buttery/creamy sauce.
And of course you have to try the local wine. We decided on a Jarra de Rebeiro Blanco. We will have to return for the Tinto [Red]. read more
