Turtle Cookie

I happened to be next door and had been craving something sweet when I stumbled across this business so I had to check it out. The shop isn't huge but they have a ton of offerings. They have at least 18 varieties of ginormous cookies, cookie dough, ice cream, and even brownies. You can even make cookie ice cream sandwiches or choose from premade varieties-some with frosting and some with ice cream. I decided to try the Turtle, Smores, and Brookie. All were humongous! And they all had a nice cookie texture-not too crunchy, not too soft. Nice chew. And all would have paired excellent with a glass of milk! If you're ever in Belton definitely check them out. I plan to try some more varieties the next time I'm nearby.

Mary's Mountain Cookies has a huge variety of different types of cookies. They had options that I have not seen at other cookie shops. The staff were inviting and gave us different recommendations. I had the chocolate and peanut butter cookie. The cookie was flat and bigger than my hand! I would recommend to those who are looking for fun and different cookie options!

I have tried the cookies before by purchasing cookie tubs for fundraisers as well as from the local Hy-Vee but it was neat to go to the actual store and get them fresh and watch them make cookies in the background. There is much more variety than I had anticipated so I had to try 8 of them bc go big or go home . Speaking of...these cookies are large! They range around the $3 price point but they are worth it fresh and if you find one that you really like. They are well crafted and offer a cookie type for everyone. I tried the almond sugar, brownie, sea salt caramel, snickerdoodle, snicker, red velvet, chocolate chip, and Oreo. All of them were great but I put them to the test with some friends and we voted for the almond sugar being the best bc it was a good texture (not too firm but not too soft or flour-y) and had a contrasting texture with the icing. The sprinkles on the edge are a nice touch. The almond is very present and not artificial tasting. I also recommend the Oreo or the brownie if you have a sweet tooth. The snickerdoodle and red velvet was too lack luster for me but only bc the other items packed a punch. Either way, pick that appeals to your taste buds and you can't go wrong. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered a deal of 6 and get 2 free along w 10% off bc we were first time visitors. We tried to order milk but they did not have any in the fridge. I think it would be a nice addition if they did. I will definitely be back and prefer this over crumbl cookies due to variety, price, and supporting local

Boston cream, m&m and an Easter sugar cookie the size of my hand!

Interesting little seasonal, pop up shop that is sets for the mood for this time of year…read more From hot chocolate, to ice cream, to brownies; they will definitely have something to fill your sweet tooth. During our time there, there was fake snow(foam) being shot in the sky by a machine outside the entrance. Definitely completed the Christmas Vibe. Now, probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit, since it's so small, but I would definitely stop by if I'm in the area - at least just once. A nice addition for places to visit during Christmas...

This is a great addition to Martin City and exactly what they were missing. It is a quaint pop up…read morelocated across from the brewery. You can get hot chocolate, ice cream and cookies. There are many different little photo ops as well. You can bring your beer over from the brewery if you would prefer that or even carry out food. Great entertainment for the little ones. The cookies change every so often but they have your basic sugar to a chocolate sandwich cookie. The ice creams change as well but again anything from cookies and cream to gingerbread. Every so often they will have brownies or other items. The prices are $3 for a scoop (this is no tiny scoop either), $4 for two small cookies and $5 for waffle cones. Not sure where the baked treats come from but the ice cream is Martin City's Scoop. Service is prompt and kind. It is great for local traffic especially if you hit some of the local boutiques and dinner. You could easily make a fun late afternoon into evening of it.
