I called Bibi up and shared that I was looking to learn knife skills. She had me choose what I'd like to cook. I went with French theme - salad nicoise and apple tatin. You're greeted by her warm smile and enter her beautiful house - and you're completely transformed to a dream. She had all the knives laid out and explained the pertinence of 'mis en place'. She even recommended the must-have knives and where to get them without breaking the bank. She customizes the class on the fly depending on your skillset and wants. She went at the perfect pace, letting me give it a go while telling stories of the dishes and alternative options. She even made me an espresso with our apple tatin creation. I left feeling confident in making the two dishes on my own and extremely grateful to have met such a special soul.

I was very disappointed with my experience in this culinary program. I waited a long time to…read morereceive financial aid, so when I finally started, I was excited and had high expectations. Unfortunately, the baking program did not provide the foundation I expected. We did not have proper instruction in basic sanitation, food safety, knife skills, or kitchen safety, which I found to be a major red flag. This should be emphasized from the beginning. I also noticed poor practices regarding cross-contamination and uniform hygiene that were not addressed. I did learn a few things during my time in the program, but overall, I felt like I was mostly thrown into the kitchen and expected to figure things out as I went. Having only one instructor responsible for everything made it difficult to receive the individual attention, instruction, and attention to detail that students need. There were times when I felt like I was not receiving a proper culinary education or learning the professional terminology and techniques that I should have been learning. The teacher would also often leave the class because he didn't buy the ingredients we need or the ingredients we had were expired. I entered this program excited to build a strong foundation in baking and develop the skills necessary to work professionally in the culinary industry. Unfortunately, the education and structure I experienced did not meet those expectations. I believe the program needs stronger instruction in sanitation, food safety, kitchen safety, foundational techniques, professional terminology, and proper industry standards. Overall, my experience was disappointing, especially considering how excited I was to finally begin my culinary education.

If you are a busy professional or family who is trying to stay fit and eat healthy, but lack the time or creativity to come up with fun and tasty meals, I would highly encourage you to reach out to Anika. Anika was able to work with some tricky dietary restrictions and make outstanding meals, each and every time. Value wise, the time she saved us in the kitchen, at the grocery store, cleaning up, etc., was worth more than what her very reasonable fees are. All in all, if you have ever considered hiring a private chef for yourself or for your busy family, look no further than Anika!

I am an event planner so was prepared to help set the table and help with any service items, but Gina brought an asst. with her and they took care of everything making the evening so smooth and special with their service and the food (they do this quite often, so have a very good system!). The food was outstanding! 10/10! Hours later, sitting around the fire, people were still bringing up how amazing the food was and what an impressive night we had with Chef Gina. Chef Gina herself was quick and easy to communicate with, was open to my suggestions on the menu and happily accommodated our groups' dietary restrictions, and then was a joy in-person to talk to and work with. I think our group will be thinking about and reminiscing on that dinner for a while. I would highly recommend Chef Gina without any reservations, and I hope she and I have a chance to collaborate again!

I was entertained by Chef Daniel. He was born and raised in Italy in the Lazio region. I had talked…read morewith him a bit while he prepared a 36" Paella from scratch in the back yard of a dear friend's promotion ceremony. Although I have heard of Paellas being made by personal chefs or other 'specialty' catering companies, I thought it extremely challenging for Daniel to make it for a client, especially since there was going to be a Chef (me) attending the celebration. He even questioned me as to my credentials . . . I did the same with him. I think it's slightly a Chef thing. I figured Daniel caught on to me at that point when I was very curious as to his final product since Paella is one of the most technically difficult dishes to pull off. Since I had participated in a similar Paella party at one of my camping adventures in our RV, I knew the sequence that Daniel was following. He executed perfectly. I think Daniel also provided a bit of charcuterie as an appetizer, but it was the Paella that stole the show. Daniel even brought me a plastic fork (culinary school all over again) to test the creation as the rice was cooking to sample the flavor, consistency and doneness. BTW, Daniel even had a nice crusty bottom on that paella. Super nice guy. My five stars represents my hope for this company, although this was certainly not a five-star meal; it was however, a skillfully executed dinner party with Chef Daniel at the helm.
