I began studying recreationally with Ms. Irina when I was a teenager. At first I was intimidated, but then I realized what a rare gem she was! Even now that I'm in my 30's, I still "Zoom In" to her virtual classes because her lessons are still so vital to my life. I owe her my career! I briefly danced professionally in NYC. I moved to Pennsylvania during Covid, but I now have established teaching position at a pre-professional ballet academy thanks to the education I received under Ms. Irina... I always say "the day Irina retires is that day I have to quit my job. I am useless without her!" Even through Zoom, she keeps my brain sharp, and she keeps my body in shape. She challenges us while always teaching us with something new. She has a profound understanding of the body, and she can give corrections that most other teachers would miss. All I can say is I wish we had made the move earlier! It's never easy changing studios, but Kim and her staff went above and beyond to help my daughter feel comfortable and to ensure she was in the right classes for her ability. There are so many options for classes, both in times, levels and types. She progressed beautifully this year and felt seen and appreciated, despite being new to the company. She was embraced by the other dancers and her teachers, and feels at home even after dancing there for such a short time. While the dancers compete, I found that there is so much more to this studio than the competitions. The dancers learn choreography from every class they take, not just their competition dances. This was a striking difference for us, and afforded our daughter the opportunity to learn so much more over a years span. They even had an optional performance at Disney over the summer, which was such a memorable experience. Kids that didn't attend were not penalized whatsoever. They also encouraged their students to audition for the Joffrey summer ballet intensive. Their commitment to seeing their students improve was evident, regardless if it meant losing dancers for Disney or their own summer classes at the studio. While we have only been here a year, we have not felt that competitive/cut-throat vibe that one can feel on a competition team. It has felt very supportive and fair. The staff is all warm and approachable, and it's really been fun getting to know them outside of the studio. At the end of the day, Kim and her teachers just want to see their dancers improve. Call in if you're looking to attend class soon, but stick to email if your inquiry isn't urgent. It does take some time for them to get back to you because they have so many people to get back to. I reached out via email because I wanted to take a hip hop class for fun but lack dance experience. The best thing about a private session is that tutors cater their lessons to suit your level and pace. After further consultation about the type of dance style and music I was interested in, they helped me book an appointment. I also wanted to note that I was being rather difficult due to a change in my schedule and went back and forth about attending the class. I initially asked for a refund but ultimately decided to attend and the staff were really understanding about it. A class costs about $100 not including other add-ons (music video editing and filming). If you decide to schedule a private session you should have the following information prepared -location you want the session at (you're responsible for renting the studio space if you choose Manhattan) -dates and time preferences for the session (classes are based on instructor availability which typically means most weekends during the afternoon or evening) -style of dance and music suggestions (instructor ultimately decides on the routine and song but you can tell them what you're looking for) Once you're booked you'll get a confirmation email and payment instructions. Payments must be made at least 2 days in advance before your class. GETTING THERE: You can take the F to Parsons and hop on the Q65 bus if you don't want to take the LIRR. I believe the F, 7, N, and Q can also take you there but expect to do a couple of transfers if you don't live in the area. I'm hours away from the flushing location but I made the trip based on reviews. I'm not confident enough to perform in groups and decided a private session would be a good way to start. I heard how welcoming and friendly the instructors and students are at this place so decided to give it a shot. THE LESSON: I just finished my private lesson with Christina and I feel empowered. We danced to Ariana Grandes God is a Woman which was originally prepared for one of their intermediate classes. Her choreography really had me feelin myself. I have two left feet and at times got really nervous trying to be technically accurate but Christina was so patient with me and gave excellent tips on how to loosen up and enjoy dance. She broke down all the steps clearly, slowly and then we practiced on an off with music. I definitely want to continue practicing and come back for lessons again. Also, as a heads up be sure to ask if you can record the session because they typically only record when you're done with the entire choreography. For those of you who are beginners as well, live close to Manhattan, and want to try group classes she recommends Ness and Fernando (my spelling might be inaccurate) if you're looking to learn upbeat hip hop style dance. They teach on Wednesday and Friday. Overall, this class really helped boost my confidence and it was worth the cost and trip.

I started ballet "late" as a 17 year old and was very nervous to find a teacher who took me seriously and could provide a serious grounding in the basics and had a true passion for dance. This has been an incredibly inspiring year. I look forward to seeing her every week. She's flexible and kind with scheduling and makes every lesson a joy. It has also encouraged me to be more active and involved in daily life.

Most people who workout here only do so because they have personal trainers that are affiliated with their gym. The personal trainers here are excellent but there is a price to pay for excellence. Their workout classes are awesome but super expensive to pay per class is $20.00 and to pay for unlimited classes a year it in the thousands. The only reason I was able to experience this gym is because I used to get reimbursed by my former employee. The clientele are mostly stay at home moms who can really afford to do what they please. I can only hope that one day I will be there working out again haha :)

Because some kids eating in the dressing room ,So Mr Cary (the Director ) of the studio decide to punishment all girls by not allowing they to change in a private ladies dress room. They are kids have no choice to can take turns to change in the that only 1 ladies bathroom in this facility which allows one each time. And put every belongings on the floor no privacy at all. Did not we deserve a place to change for all the tuition we paid . It's ridiculous. That not a way to run your business here. I will continue fight for it with the administration of children to see if there is anything they can do.
