The teacher is really nice and she cares a lot for all the students. She wants us to always have fun and have the best time at the studio.

We obviously started our search through Yelp and called The Studio. Destiny the receptionist was super friendly and immediately offered us a trial class. My daughter tried once and loved it. The energy here is awesome and the instructors are super friendly. Almost all the classes are held in small groups which is wonderful. The studio has 2 spacious dance rooms. My daughter loves dancing here. She loves her instructors and have made many friends. Going to class here feels like being part of a family. Everyone is so friendly. If you're looking for a dance place, def check out the Studio. :-)

Some of the attendees mentioned that is bigger compare to other studio they'd been . Although the place is smaller than our old place( gym ) for our Zumba session, I like it as I feel that I am in real dance studio. Full mirror and drinking water supply is available , though we are used bringing our own bottle. Ample parking for everyone. :) Our Zumba class group is literally new too and this new home fits us. The owner seems nice and very accommodating. I will be coming back , even driving takes 10 minutes more than our previous Zumba house.

My 8 year old daughter attends ATDW and I cannot say enough good things about the studio, the…read moreteachers or the owners. ATDW and the owners Michelle and Jerome could not be more different from the typical LI dance school. If you're looking for a studio where your child can learn from real experts (not just graduated former students), be groomed like professionals, be surrounded with positive & supportive influence and make great friends (both kids and fellow parents) - this is the place. For a brief background, my daughter started ballet classes at 3 years old at another school. We liked the school but the variation of classes beyond ballet was limited and most attention was given to competition dancers. If you weren't on the competition team or being groomed for it, you were not a priority. I've since heard from many friends that this is the case across many Long Island dance schools where the focus is on competition or the end of year recital performances. This is NOT the case at ATDW. This past fall my daughter attended an open house where she quickly fell in love with the studio, enrolled in 4 classes and has never looked back! To say my daughter's experience moving to ATDW has been transformational would be an understatement. Before moving to ATDW, she liked to dance but felt very insecure about her body, being very tall for her age and a bigger build. She was also struggling with some bullies in school and we were dealing with the typical elementary-school afternoon battles over homework, snacks, screens, etc. The changes we've seen in my daughter since moving to ATDW go well beyond her dance capabilities. The kindness and encouragement she has experienced from Michelle, Jerome, Miss Wendy, Miss Olivia and Miss Allie have given her a true passion for all things dance and performance. Her passion and love for attending ATDW have given her a shocking level of motivation for an 8 year old. Knowing she needs to leave for ATDW, she is motivated to do her homework right after school and she has a positive, active understanding of how to be healthy and take care of her body so she can feel better dancing. Her sense of self confidence has exploded in ways that have extended well beyond after-school dance - in her reading, her grades, her friendships and in-school activities. Perhaps most importantly, my daughter has met and made friends with kind and wonderful children whose parents clearly share the same values we do: kindness over competition, the value and joy of performance, respect, responsibility and confidence. The dancers and families that are part of ATDW feel like a community, particularly for students who take more than one class. Passing each other in the hallways before/after, they make friends with older/younger kids they aren't even in class with. The older dancers are positive and supportive role models for the younger dancers. The amount of joy they all have seeing each other is so sweet and at points comical... they hug each other like they haven't seen each other in weeks. ATDW is truly my daughter's favorite place now. She ended the 22-23 season enrolled in 5 classes and participating in the production of Alice in Wonderland. Looking forward to next season, she's now asking to add more. She can't get enough. We are so thankful for this studio and for the community of dancers and parents that Michelle and Jerome have created. Thank you, ATDW!

Michelle and Jerome have created a wonderful environment for young dancers and I couldn't be happier to have my daughter at the studio. They also do top notch productions for kids! Additionally, my 3 year old also just completed a year in the tiny dancers program and the teacher was AMAZING at helping us to get her to feel comfortable dancing on her own. Highly recommended!

Here's why: When they called me back to confirm the booking & coordinate a time (which I emailed them to see if they teach country dancing), they said yes, we can do that. When we went there - I brought my cowboy dancing boots and was stoked to learn something new with my boo. They had us wait a little bit (we were a few minutes early). They brought us into a private dancing room and showed us the ropes for some basic dance movements and styles. We did some salsa and merengue and fox trot, etc... but no country. We had a blast and a lot of fun. We were sweating too! But they withheld the country from us. Then after the session, instead of a bye! hope to see you next time, they brought us into the manager's suite to get bamboozled with humungous numbers (price tags) for dance lessons with group sessions. Try 10 classes at over $1,500.00..(and not all of them were for one on one sessions).. Meanwhile, we were seeking something simpler - like closer to the cost of what we paid for the trial ($49.00). When they showed me the form with the classes that they offer - country wasn't listed and when I brought it up, they wrote it in. I/we felt scammed... because when we were waiting to start the first session - they also had me fill out a similar form and there was a box for country dancing on that one. It's really unfortunate, because maybe we'd go back if they had an à la carte option for classes at a more affordable rate. A lot of places do something like $55.00 per class with the tenth one free! We told them we'd think about it so they would let us leave. The manager and our instructor were really pushy. Not to mention, that the instructor "gets to know you" and then uses that against you to get the manager to get you hyped up for a sale. They booked us for the following week at the same time. They were kind enough to call me back to confirm the night before. I advised them that we would not be returning, as per the hefty pricing, and they didn't charge me anything extra. (24 hour cancellation policy) Now don't get me wrong - I'm sure you get what you pay for to some extent, and I'm sure the classes and group dancing are fun (we saw others there enjoying themselves), but the way they went about it was off-putting and I really feel like they should have been more forthright and upfront with us prior to. We don't regret the dance session. Happy feet!

Thank you so much to our private teacher Courtney who was patient, kind, and made us feel so comfortable. Not to mention, she is so knowledgeable with the dances and provided so much advice and support. For the group class (which happen often during the weeknights), the other couples in the class were cheering us on! Alicia was a great teacher and walked us through all the dances. If you decide to give dancing a try, make sure you ask for Courtney and Alicia! You won't be disappointed.

I only came here 3 times (on 3 separate days with a different instructor for each class) while I was staying in the area. My main complaint about this location is that I only saw 2G options (less people per class than 3G), even during a high-demand period (Transformation Challenge, plus early in the calendar year when people are working on fitness goals). The classes during this time should be 3G to allow for more people to attend instead of filling up so quickly. Transformation Challenge promotes people going to class more often, but that is made difficult when class sizes are so limited. Pros: I do love Orangetheory in general. The class styles benefit me and my doctors have seen improvements in my physical injuries. The equipment in this location is in very good condition, especially compared to locations that have much more volume of people attending classes. The instructors were generally great, but there could have been more attentiveness with the participants making sure we each had the correct form considering the classes here are smaller than most others I have been used to. Convenient location if you drive, can park in the shared shopping center parking lot (though the lot does get very busy). Cons: The con I mentioned above about lack of 3G classes during a really high-demand period. The music and microphone were VERY loud in each of the classes. It hurt my ears while on the treadmill but I didn't find an opportunity to say anything because I didn't want to interrupt my workout, and nobody else was saying anything. I didn't see any earplugs when I came in, so I don't know if they aren't given out at this location or they were just not on display. People had their cellphones with them during class and were using them while actively on the treadmill. I've never been to a location where people weren't reminded not to bring their cellphones into the gym for safety. This location doesn't have as many class offerings as some others, which I completely understand if there isn't demand for it in this area, but after the last morning class before they break for the afternoon I felt rushed even just trying to stretch for a few more minutes. The staff rushes to clean and leave and lock up. This doesn't promote stretching or showering after a class. One day the lights were turned off while I was still getting my coat on near the lockers.

That's not the contention here. The issue is the way I was treated. To make matters worse, the manager, the one who should set the tone for her employees attitudes and behavior, is the rudest one. It's no wonder why they all seem rude AF and not even happy you walked through the door. She doesn't set a good example. After emailing, calling, leaving voicemails, and texting me multiple times a day for days on end to sign up for a free class, I finally set one up. I was told to arrive 30 minutes early. Got a call day-of to make sure I was coming and was told that since I already filled out a form online I could come just 10-15 mins beforehand. Looking back, maybe I misheard, and the person said 5:10 or 5:15, and that's where the confusion comes from. Anyhow, I can take responsibility for being late. But the manager seemed pissed, like very insistent that, "It's 15 minutes beforehand." Said very curtly and with disapproval in her voice like I'm a kindergartener. Well, clearly I thought someone had said 10-15 mins. There was definitely a miscommunication or misunderstanding. Also, no explanation of why, of reasons why this 15 min orientation needed to happen. Which can, you know, help. No, "I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding, so sorry, but it's policy." No sincerity or care whatsoever. Then, with absolutely no enthusiasm, "Do you want to wait for the next class?" (An hour later.) Normally I would have waited around but the vibes were SO BAD I said no because I was so turned off by this blah staff. They're rude, they don't care, they obviously don't want new customers. I was late, that's on me, but their attitude about the whole thing was just bad customer service. I was SO excited to try something new and meet some new people in the classes. Take my advice and join F45 across the street instead. Nice instructors, friendly, greet you warmly each time.
