The chicken tenders were so crispy I believe they fry everything on the spot so it's the reason why it's so crispy but it's a good ratio between batter and chicken and the sizes of the chicken tenders are HUGE! The onion rings were perfectly crispy sometimes other places other onion rings are small with a lot of oil these were cooked perfectly crispy big rondelles of onions! I definitely suggest if you're on your way to Toronto definitely check where are you can try a a Popeyes. If you're a lover of spicy or fried chicken you're definitely going to want to try the sandwich and or the chicken tenders! I suggest sauce sweet honey ranch or the Popeye signature sauce.

We were the only customers in the place, and the one person working was busy preparing orders placed online. He happily greeted us and asked if we knew what we wanted, but we hadn't yet. We eventually decided on combo #2 which the cheeseburger and poutine. The poutine was ready first, and it was - average. I was expecting something more, but it honestly wasn't any better than what I could get from a NY Fries (actually I like the fries at NY fries better). On the other hand the cheeseburger was pretty good. I only read after that the King St location might be better. I guess I'll try that location next time, if I'm in Kingston, but I'll keep my expectations in check.

We were seated and noticed a large ad for a free Veteran's meal on November 11th. More about that later. We had heard about the "award winning wings", so I decided to try them as I enjoy good wings. BAD choice! When my wings were delivered, I had to send them back as they were burnt and charred on the bottom and looked basically inedible. I showed them to the server and she said she was sorry and the wings and fries were replaced about 15 minutes later. At least the wings were - there were no fries so she was sent back for more and they were served another ten minutes later. The second order of "award winning wings" were only marginally better than the first, but I ate part of them anyway as I was very hungry by then. To make a long story short, as I am a 36-year veteran of the CAF, I will forego this place on Remembrance Day and future occasions and vote with my feet, as we have dozens of other places to eat, free or not, in Kingston. The cashier recommended the Huevos bowl with tofu instead of eggs. It was basically a tofu scramble bowl with black beans, salsa, mushrooms, BBQ sauce, kale, and pico. Kale usually emits a strong reaction from people because of its signature taste, but this kale was downright tame so worry not. Freshii's breakfast bowl was on point and made me feel super healthy.
