I ventured out to my home town to meet my mother for a lovely Chorlton brunch and we thought we'd check out this newbie on the Chorlton drinking and dining scene. Lovely, seventies inspired decor and a chilled out ambience made this the perfect place for a relaxed weekend brunch. I could imagine myself grabbing a paper and settling down with a cup of tea and some eggs for a relaxed morning as well as meeting a few friends here for a noisy catch up over a full english. We were served not long after being seated and although it would have been nice to be offered a drinks menu as well as the paper food menu, I opted for an apple juice, assuming it'd be highly unlikely that it wasn't on the selection. Perhaps that's something that still needs ironing out though, as it hasn't been open long, so I'll overlook that and anticipate being handed an actual menu with soft drinks, coffees and teas next time I visit. We shared an eggs benedict with salmon and a full english breakfast and both were delicious and perfectly executed. We were asked if we were enjoying our food but not hassled (as can sometimes be the case) and the bill was brought promptly. A nice addition to Manchester Road, a well-priced and attractively fitted out venue, and an enjoyable experience. My only complaint would be the screaming baby sitting a few tables back from us. However, that's eating out in Chorlton for you - yummy mummies rule the roost. read more
