Marv's not a customer service guy. In fact, he should rename this place "Gun repair shop"; although, to be fair, he does cover that in the "gunsmithing" part of the sign. It's just not a prominent part.
When we first walked in, we met "Marv" whose first words (literally): "I don't have many guns." Ok. That was a welcoming statement. Maybe that's how they say "Hi. What can I help you with," here. When asked if he was getting any more handguns, the reply, while given with a flat affect by someone who never once looked up from his repair job, was "no. I'm doing repairs". Ok. I get it.
Actually, Marv's did have some guns, mostly rifles, and lots of rifle accessories and supplies. There was decent supply of it. The entire visit, while not welcoming, definitely had an "I don't care if you're here, but I'd be happier if you left" aura.
Despite the controlled indifference of Marv, I still have to give this place two stars because what they did have that was priced in line with comparable places. If you need a repair, or some last minute hunting supplies, or a different scope, Marv's will probably work. Probably only if you're a local, though. read more
