Kris said the right things on the phone so I set up the 90 min intake appt. There were…read moreunprofessional red flags right away that I ignored, e.g. her phone was next to her and notifications were a continuous distraction, her dog came in and needed attention. Minor note: her office had a very musty smell, which may be a consideration for anyone with allergic susceptibility. As the intake progressed, she displayed visible judgment with my answers to her questions about family, upbringing, etc. versus being neutral. When I revealed the trauma that I experienced she reacted not only with shock, but disbelief. This followed with "Why didn't you do this or that? Why didn't your children react this way instead of that way? Why didn't you file a lawsuit?" Then she verbalized doubt that it could have actually happened. In hindsight, I should have left at the first red flags, but trusted that it would get better until it was too late. I will forever regret sharing my deepest trauma with her and can only apologize to my inner child.

As a young child my mother forced me to attend kris' sessions. This woman has done more damage than…read morehelp. I've seen multiple therapist about her since then. She has scarred me for life. Her forms of treatment included tapping and playing in a sand box while either paying her bills, answering emails, or making tea. If someone starts tapping I immediately get ptsd and have an anxiety attack. The hours of sitting in the small waiting room having panic attacks is relentless. These all occurred during my sisters hour long session. My sister and I always argued who would go first because we never wanted to go in. They had stains all over the ceiling too. After Kris would tap my shoulders she would ask me every time "and how does this make you feel" or "what shape is this feeling" and "what color is this feeling."I never knew how I felt because I was a 7 year old child. Because of her shoulder tapping techniques and bongo playing I now have ptsd when people touch me or play bongos. I wish I was joking when I say that bongos and tapping are triggers for me but it's the truth. And she would always talk about her sons esteemed accomplishments about inventing the long board. She always talked about her other clients too while we were having a session, this has since caused trust issues not knowing if someone is going to reveal my personal information to other clients. If I could leave zero stars I would. Please don't EVER bring your child to this establishment.

This was my first time (hopefully last) in treatment. I stood for 28 days and my experience was…read moremuch better than I expected. I really liked that it was non residential and I resided in a house. The house was very clean and organized and had all the normal amenities. We went shopping once a week with a $70 budget. Also, I liked that I was able to add money of my own as well. On Fridays we were able to purchase disposable vapes. All the group facilitators, especially Jim and Jessica were extremely helpful and provided a lot of insight on the disease of addiction. Also, all the groups were very good and beneficial. The techs at the house were also very nice and helped out whenever I asked. Johnny was one of the nicest techs I've had the honor meet. He went above and beyond to help out. Also, the tech supervisor, Jimmy always made sure were stocked up on everything and took care of all the activities. He made sure everything ran smoothly and organized. This place really wants to see people get better and aren't out for the money, like many other rehabs out there. If you want to get sober and stay sober I highly recommend checking this place out. It's a 28 day program that will save your life

if I could put a 0 I would. This place is a joke. Theres staff sleeping with clients. The director…read morewalks around like his shit doesn't stink when he's the most hypocritical person and a huge liar. On the weekends you watch a movie on Saturday and Sunday you play hangman and then you go sit at a whole in the wall diner. I'm glad thats what I was paying for at this "top notch facility". They cater lunch everyday from a deli that is disgusting. Everything is bread and Mayo. No healthy options at all. They do give you a 70 dollar gift card once a week to a grocery store but the groceries at this store are so over the top expensive you can only get like 10 items. By the way there is a grocery store mayb 5 minutes further away that is way less expensive. The houses look nice from the outside but they are run down and out dated inside. The maintenance "supervisor" (I say that in quotes cause he's the only maintenance person so i don't know who he's supervising) doesn't fix anything. He sits in the lobby at the center on his phone the whole day. I asked him to change a light bulb one time and the whole month I was there he never did. Everything is literally broken. He lives at one of the houses for free. i don't think he's in recovery. I heard he's been caught drinking a couple times and nothing was done about it. The whole time I was there I only saw my therapist twice.... what was the point? The therapist was not good. I was actually second hand embarrassed being in their office. I thought the sessions were an hour but I think both of mine were like 30-35 minutes. They would always pull me at the end of the day right before we were leaving. And the van had to wait for me both times. There is a massive amount of perscriptions in the basement of all the houses that they are suppose to discard (bring to police station) but they don't. I wouldn't doubt that the staff steals them and uses them. There's clients there that need a higher level of care but the director and the VP don't give a crap and keep them anyway for the money. It's only harming that client more. They advertise for eating disorders and self harm.... I don't think that they even have staff there that deal with those issues. They place the "mental health" patients with the substance abuse patients living wise. Some days I did not feel safe in the place I was living because of the mental health clients. It got scary a couple times. The discharge guy only offers like 2 places for your aftercare. So everyone your with in this facility you'll be with at the next facility. I guess they have some sort of agreement with eachother. I mean i can keep going on and on but I think you get the point. I've been there once and I won't ever dare to go back. It's awful. If you love the person you are thinking about sending there- please don't send them. They will be begging you to leave. I don't know how this place hasnt shut down yet or how some of the staff gets away with the stuff they get away with. It's very disturbing.
