I put my child in this so called great school for 2 years but pulled her out because of how…read moreunorganized this school is, and the lack of responsibility from the teachers. When they first opened up the school it went only up to 7th grade instead of a full middle school. The second year they added 8th grade knowing there was not a lot of room for any of the students and they know this school is small. Another this is the car line it is utterly ridiculous! There are so many students and we the parents need to get to work. The first year the car line was not as bad but the second year OMG they waited to open the doors at 7:15 knowing they have a lot of kids and I just don't understand why they couldn't open it at 7:00 and allow the kids in. Another thing about the school is the teachers especially the middle school teachers they have no respect whatsoever for your kids. My daughter would go and ask her teachers for help when she didn't understand something and they would tell her to go look in the book. How would she go look into the book if she doesn't even know what she's looking at in the book! Another problem with the school is the Admin. They do their job poorly and don't deserve that position whenever there is a situation they don't do anything to resolve the situation. My daughter was body shamed by a kid and she reported the situation and they didn't do anything. Her friend got her parents called for talking without permission yes I understand that students should not call out but is it that necessary to call their parents? My daughter also witnessed a teacher yelling at a special needs student for being g to loud in the hall that poor kid did not deserve that and I can only imagine what else they do to those poor kids in the special classes. All middle school students are forced to learn Latin. The former teacher who was my daughter's teacher who quit his job (gladly) never helped the students, in their personal space, and obviously had no experience working with kids he was a horrible teacher. The problem with the teachers at invictus is that they take advantage of being a teacher who has a higher position and bully's these kids. This is a terrible school I don't recommend putting your kids through this prison at all!

LHS is a true, Christ-based, college preparatory school where the faculty is aligned with families…read more I have two children in attendance, and I couldn't be happier. I have one child that is about to graduate, and I know she is more than ready to excel in her studies at a premier university. Both of my children were able to grow at LHS not only through their education studies by a small teacher to student ratio, but also through amazing extracurricular activities including complete athletic programs and arts. The faculty at LHS is there because they care about the students and shows in their daily commitments. They over communicate to both the kids and the parents. They keep everyone involved in the process and welcome everyone into the LHS family. I will be sad when both of my children have graduated. I just might find a way to continue being a part of the LHS family!

Our daughter recently completed her fourth year at LHS. We are very pleased with the academic…read morepreparation for college she received while there. She has always been a straight A student and an athlete. She did quite well on her SAT's and was accepted directly into one of the top Engineering programs in country which was her first choice of schools. One of the reasons we wanted her to attend a private Christian School was we thought the teachers would lead by example through their own conduct and standards. Most do, but certainly not all. It is my firm belief that any accolades and recognition for excellence received by students, should be based entirely on their own efforts and not who they are related to or for financial connections to the school. Examples of academic and athletic awards consistently going to student children of LHS employees and financial donors to LHS rather than student that actually performed the best, are many. Close examination of the facts will clearly reveal that both nepotism and favoritism are alive and well at LHS. When teaching students that honesty and hard work pay off, it is critical to walk one's talk. If hypocrisy rather than integrity is present in the actions of those in a trusted position of authority, than all the teaching of Christian values leadership and conduct is for naught. Examples of doing what is right, is what we hoped would be present, not situational ethics. Evidently, there is opportunity to learn about both. I cannot recommend a school where the underlying message is: "Do what I say, not what I do."

We are so incredibly lucky in San Antonio to have the Winston school…read more My son is off the charts intelligent but had a difficulty in learning. He went to the summer school in 2019 and frankly learned more that summer than he did in the entire year before. He feels accepted, and acknowledged, and the administrators, teachers and staff do an incredible job promoting children that learn differently. This was a life changer. I went from a child that cried to go to school, to a child that adores his school, and can't wait to go. In the words of my son, "mommy, Winston isn't is my school,it's my family" So grateful!

After an incident from today with Mr. Yocham discharging one of the best teachers they have and in…read morethe manner he did so in front of all the middle school students, I've had enough. This school was not equipped for online learning nor did the teachers care to make the changes to pay any attention to those students learning online. If I could give no stars I sure would. From the beginning this school has been an issue. From the fact that they test your student at the beginning of the school year after being out for summer and expecting them to be where they were the previous year. Just so they can then separate your student from their grade level and mix them with lower class students. That I find demoralizing to the student and telling them YES you are dumb. When in fact all it is is that "you learn different". Any other school can do a way better job then this school. This is just an over priced school for your child to not grow. No wonder they feel dumb because the school is sticking them with the lower grade level and it's seen. They have no academic plan for your students growth because "every student is different" in other words they will not make that personal plan to help your child grow. If your child is excelling out of the class they're in the school will not say anything. My daughter was so bored in her classes and not challenged enough. I spoke up to the school and they moved her to a higher level class and what would you know she continued to excel in her studies. Your child has a better chance at a public school and getting better help than here at Winston. Your child will not grow at a progressive rate as you will expect to happen. The athletics department is a joke as well so I hope your child is not an athlete. All 3 years that my daughter had to attend here not once did the Volleyball team nor basketball team win a game. The AD Mr. Borth just goes through the motions of what's needed but is also a very rude person. His wife Mrs. Borth told my child along with a group of other girls to get it together because they were upset and she had a tour to give in a few minutes. Yes this happed today 05/19/2022 so again this is not the school you want your child to go too. It's not worth the college tuition they charge along with everything thing else they will charge you. Find you a school that will benefit your child's educational growth. If you can tough it out IDEA is a real good structural school. Even specific private schools around the area. Do your research and don't fall for all the smiles. Ask questions, know who's certified to teach because as you know private school teachers don't have to be certified.
