I put my child in this so called great school for 2 years but pulled her out because of how…read moreunorganized this school is, and the lack of responsibility from the teachers. When they first opened up the school it went only up to 7th grade instead of a full middle school.The second year they added 8th grade knowing there was not a lot of room for any of the students and they know this school is small. Another this is the car line it is utterly ridiculous! There are so many students and we the parents need to get to work. The first year the car line was not as bad but the second year OMG they waited to open the doors at 7:15 knowing they have a lot of kids and I just don't understand why they couldn't open it at 7:00 and allow the kids in. Another thing about the school is the teachers especially the middle school teachers they have no respect whatsoever for your kids. My daughter would go and ask her teachers for help when she didn't understand something and they would tell her to go look in the book. How would she go look into the book if she doesn't even know what she's looking at in the book! Another problem with the school is the Admin. They do their job poorly and don't deserve that position whenever there is a situation they don't do anything to resolve the situation. My daughter was body shamed by a kid and she reported the situation and they didn't do anything. Her friend got her parents called for talking without permission yes I understand that students should not call out but is it that necessary to call their parents? My daughter also witnessed a teacher yelling at a special needs student for being g to loud in the hall that poor kid did not deserve that and I can only imagine what else they do to those poor kids in the special classes. All middle school students are forced to learn Latin. The former teacher who was my daughter's teacher who quit his job (gladly) never helped the students, in their personal space, and obviously had no experience working with kids he was a horrible teacher. The problem with the teachers at invictus is that they take advantage of being a teacher who has a higher position and bully's these kids. This is a terrible school I don't recommend putting your kids through this prison at all!

One of them (a coach) had told me once that they "didn't know where to put me" and when I would ask for advice to be better gave me half booty cheek answers. Refused to actually coach kids correctly or effectively. This coach in particular that I'm talking about was the head soccer coach my junior year of high school. I never talked back , always did what I thought they expected ,but yet was still not given the equal opportunity to play or be coached. She teared me down even more when I had bad days and never said anything when I did good. The day I decided to up and quit was when most of my team ganged up on me one morning just shouting horrible things at me making me even more de shuffled mentally. Not all of them did but most of the under class men female dogs did and I was nothing but nice and encouraging to them. Keep in mind, the coaches just stood there and WATCHED them tear me down, I walked off the field and went home. I'm not sure if the coaches there are just flat out miserable and enjoy breaking kids spirits but this clearly still affects me if I'm currently writing a review 2 years later. Also Mrs lane who's the attendance person or whatever she does there is trashy and unprofessional , I told her that my uncle took his life and she asked me why I wasn't really at school and when I told her I was depressed and rather be at work she flat out told me "why do you need money you have beats on your head" (the beats headphones). Which if you're reading this , I BOUGHT them with the money I worked for. She also attempted to embarrass me by trying to call me out saying I didn't want to graduate by asking other students in FRONT OF ME "do you want to graduate" and then proceeded to move onto the next person and ask them the same thing. She asked three or four other students near us when we were in the library to fix whatever we needed TOO graduate. There was about 20-30 kids in the library at the time of this event. I walked out in front of her because it doesn't matter who you are you're NOT going to try and tear down a student in front of their peers who's clearly trying to seek help. I was quite literally willing to risk not graduating because again, my uncle took his life and I had been previously depressed that whole year but yet she didn't care until it was the end of the school year and tried to embarrass me ? Many other students at the time agreed that what she did was wrong and that she's ALSO treated them that way or similar. And yes I do have depression, I have papers for it , my mental health was just not okay that year. It's one thing to give constructive criticism and I know for a fact that I CAN take constructive criticism but it's another when you're tearing down a minor to make yourself feel better. These are grown adults in their 40's or 50's like are you serious ? I hope no one ever has to endure the mental torture I have gone through not just there but in life period. This school needs to re-evaluate their whole coaching staff because their treatment just wasn't right. In no world will that ever be right.

I have one child that is about to graduate, and I know she is more than ready to excel in her studies at a premier university. Both of my children were able to grow at LHS not only through their education studies by a small teacher to student ratio, but also through amazing extracurricular activities including complete athletic programs and arts. The faculty at LHS is there because they care about the students and shows in their daily commitments. They over communicate to both the kids and the parents. They keep everyone involved in the process and welcome everyone into the LHS family. I will be sad when both of my children have graduated. I just might find a way to continue being a part of the LHS family!

She did quite well on her SAT's and was accepted directly into one of the top Engineering programs in country which was her first choice of schools. One of the reasons we wanted her to attend a private Christian School was we thought the teachers would lead by example through their own conduct and standards. Most do, but certainly not all. It is my firm belief that any accolades and recognition for excellence received by students, should be based entirely on their own efforts and not who they are related to or for financial connections to the school. Examples of academic and athletic awards consistently going to student children of LHS employees and financial donors to LHS rather than student that actually performed the best, are many. Close examination of the facts will clearly reveal that both nepotism and favoritism are alive and well at LHS. When teaching students that honesty and hard work pay off, it is critical to walk one's talk. If hypocrisy rather than integrity is present in the actions of those in a trusted position of authority, than all the teaching of Christian values leadership and conduct is for naught. Examples of doing what is right, is what we hoped would be present, not situational ethics. Evidently, there is opportunity to learn about both. I cannot recommend a school where the underlying message is: "Do what I say, not what I do."
