Boring curriculum, rude and overindulged students (mostly). Mant staff members give you grief over small issues. Apathetic administration.

Amazing dining experience!…read more We came to celebrate a birthday and our server started us off with a complimentary glass of champagne. We also ordered drinks-- the espresso martini was particularly delicious! Our servers were thorough, helpful, and kind. To start, we had the snapper crudo, the popcorn chicken, and the charred cabbage. The popcorn chicken and charred cabbage were amazing! So full of flavor and unique. The snapper crudo was just okay, nothing special. I would try the snapper tartare instead if I could do it over again. The steak was absolutely phenomenal-- one of the best steaks I've had. It comes medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. Loved the sauce and vegetables as well. Would definitely recommend and return for another meal.

And while it works on-screen, I'm not sure I would agree it works in a world where people subconsciously enjoy certain textures and flavors. A friend of mine chose Isidore for our monthly mom's night out and my interest was piqued after doing a little research but also...cautious. Having gone to my fair share of similar restaurants, I can count on one hand the number of times I've actually been impressed. That being said, let me give you my thoughts more succinctly. First, the menu has no clear order or theme and rather looks like a bunch of random dishes thrown together without considering the need for things to be complimentary. While the servers were knowledgeable and doing their best to guide us, we ultimately realized this meal wasn't going to hit the spot we were hoping an actually considered leaving. Second, I give the food choices a 6.5 out of 10. The first choice was a sort of "whey ravioli in foam". Needless to say we thought about sending it back the moment it hit the table just because the foam and the smell was not what I would consider "appetizing". We fished around in the foam for a "ravioli" swallowed it and confirmed we were not going to eat another bite. That was a ZERO for us. The second dish we chose was the grilled cabbage, which was actually very good and ultimately would have been a good side with the aged waygu steak but... each of our choices came out individually. The cabbage was covered in herbs (dill) and was very good. 10/10. Lastly was the steak. Yes, it was good but no-where near the best steak I've ever had. It came with roasted carrots on the side which were yummy but not rave-worthy. 8/10 for the steak. In conclusion, service was EXCELLENT, but the food needs a clear focus. I would absolutely return if the menu changed to have items that actually were appetizing and more approachable. But until that time, swipe, next.

In addition, there were concerns regarding the conduct of staff members. My daughter became involved with individuals of a questionable character, and I found the experience of dropping her off at the institution to be extremely petrifying. In an effort to address the situation, a meeting was convened with the principal of the school and the district; however, no action was taken until a year later, by which time the drug situation had significantly deteriorated and even like that it has not been control. Also, to note my daughter's involvement in varsity-level swimming and polo for four years was observed, and an attempt was made to solicit guidance and support from her Coach Nelson. However, instead of maintaining confidentiality, the coach disclosed the matter to the entire team and mom in charge of helping. Consequently, the team and their teammates began to bully and isolate her, excluding her from all activities. Furthermore, none of her peers spoke to her, exacerbating the situation! The coach was also complicit in this mistreatment, as were some of the volunteer mothers who worked with him. The names of these individuals were Janet Stewart and Dana Robinson; They were supposed to be nurturing and kind, but they also mistreated my child and were abusive towards me, despite knowing that I was a single mother who had cancer.I submitted a complaint to principal and the school district again, but no action was taken. It was only after my child began attending Johnson that she encountered individuals of questionable character, and that drugs were permitted on campus. Nonetheless, it is gratifying to note that she successfully completed her studies at Johnson with honours, was awarded with an scholarship, and has now enrolled as a first-year student at a highly regarded university, where she continues to achieve academic excellence. However, the four years she spent at high school were a particularly challenging period for both of us. It is therefore not a school I would recommend. If it is chosen by the reader, however, it is important to be aware of the unsavoury characters that are present, and to not expect any support from the school district or its staff.

    * UPDATE SINCE IVE GRADUATED OFFICIALLY FROM NEISD *…read more I'm 18 years old now and I wrote a review about bush when I was 14. While I still stand by my review, I didn't go into detail about what occurred because I was deep into trauma and mental turmoil due to the incidents involved on that campus. Starting off in 6th grade, I was hazed endlessly by peers and even staff for being "too feminine". Instead of helping, the administration at this school disregarded my mental health altogether. If I did anything that was not in their standards, I was either punished or ignored for complaining about being bullied. In 7th grade, I started to engage in self-harm and fell into a state of depression and anxiety that I was unaware of. I would come into school everyday with the mindset that I was going to be bullied and I wouldn't have any support if I decided to speak up. This was instilled because of the lack of care the administration had for students, typically POC or individuals with disabilities. I watched alot of my friends with learning disabilities get negatively criticized and even punished for "bad behavior". Specifically, there was an incident where I was physically assaulted by multiple male students on campus, and when I went to report it, those students still roamed the halls and hazed others while I would get ISS for any altercation or incident where I was behaving inappropriately. 8th grade was manageable, because I understood the school didn't care for certain students and I unfortunately fell into that bias. I had one teacher in particular that would comfort me because she also understood the underlying motives the administration had against certain students, and tried her best to help those in need. There was also 2 incidents on campus that involved a student bringing a firearm, and threatening the school. I personally saw alot of white students carry pocket knives and drugs on them, and were never considered suspicious or searched for their behavior and comments they would make. The counselors at this school were helpful, however they were not confidential and revealed information to my parents that were unnecessary to announce. I understand counselors need to tell parents when they believe their child is a danger to themselves or others, however, the information told my parents was in fact not dangerous or threatening, but took a jab on their parenting styles and blamed their lack of care for the school's trauma-inducing incidents. I've left out plenty of specific incidents that led to therapy, and while I don't think the environment is the same as it was 2015-2018, I still stand by a 1-star review that I don't think they deserve. If your child is going to be attending a middle school soon, please consider online, private, or even a different local school for them, as they will not be enjoying their time at this school.
