If I can do 0 stars I would. Purchased a pre owned vehicle at this location and not even a month…read morewith my vehicle I notice AC not cooling properly. was told to make an appointment with Mazda service center and ask for Jennifer and as arriving for the appointment they tell me theirs no tech available to diagnose the vehicle, mind you I drove from Harlingen. Top it off they tell me I have to take vehicle to a Volvo dealership because they are Mazda, clearly I know it's Mazda but it hasn't even been a month and vehicle was purchased with them. Top it off all the questions I had Jennifer and another front desk female from their service department, clueless. Not their fault for not being trained properly but I don't recommend this service department to anyone especially if your purchasing a pre-owned vehicle.

Hello, I am an out of towner. I went in to Mission Mazda…read moreto get my car serviced. I have been to two diffrent Mazda dealership in state of Texas before ever stepping foot into Mission Mazda. I can only speak highly of customer service recieved from the other two dealerships. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for everyone at Mission Mazda. I reached out to US Mazda for protocols when addressing service plans as well as other Mazda dealers. Protocol is to check to see if customer holds plan before proceeding with service. In past I have not had to tell service department whether I hold a plan or not (this includes dealership where I did not purchase car) I go in, get invoice with balance of $0.00. Whether the associate's follow protocol, go extra mile, and due-diligence I always feel taken care of and appreciated as customer. I currently hold a plan and was given a bill at Mission Mazda. I told Stephanie, "I have gold plan I shouldn't have a balance?" She asked if I had told her co-worker who checked me in. I said," No, it should be in system if you typed in VIN." Stephanie seemed very bothered by the fact I didn't relay this. Stephanie would have to make a call to correct error. Even though she tried to use a lovely tone, I could tell it was a hassle. Before I signed paper work she made sure to tell me again that I need to let them know I have plan beforehand. In other words don't make me do extra work. I told her no worries I won't be using Mission Mazda for service anymore I'm just visiting. The only reason I gave Mission Mazada a 2 star is because of the behind scene workers who serviced my car and the co-worker(wish I got her name) who checked me in were pleasant.

The service department did an outstanding job of diagnosing the issue I had with my truck…read more However, I had to call a few times in the afternoon to get the status of my truck and all I could get was "We'll call you back" and "I'll have the service manager call you"...and things like that. I had to press the issue to get a status since I needed my truck and if I wasn't able to get it that day, I could make alternate arrangements for transportation. But I needed to know. Of course, when I did get the status, they were going to charge me $811 to fix the issue. Really? Yes, you can make the claim that your technicians are factory "certified" and you use factory diagnostics tools, etc. And any outside competent mechanic can do it as well and far cheaper. I get that. But $811 for replacing an ignition coil, 6 ignition coil boots, and all 6 spark plugs? I'm an engineer by degree and trade and I know exactly the amount of labor and effort it takes to replace the aforementioned items on my truck. It doesn't take an associates degree in auto mechanics or to be factory "certified" to do it. I ordered all the parts the same day at a total cost of $146, shipped. Do the math on the amount of labor charges the dealer wanted. They are not OEM parts but I can tell you this, OEM parts are made to meet MINIMUM specifications, not necessarily exceeed, and I know this for a fact as I have authority to set technical specifications in my industry. So yeah...I know. The aftermarket items I ordered have longer warranties then Motorcraft and a bit cheaper so that tells you something. Don't get me wrong, Spikes Ford has an outstanding service department and can get the job done well and actually are far better then the experience I had with Boggus (who misdiagnosed the problem a year ago and have misdiagnosed two other issues I had with my truck) and really far better than Hacienda who literally told me to make an appointment or they wouldn't tend to my truck. Seriously? Would I go back to Spikes for service? YES! But don't try to con an ex-con when telling me how much it will cost to replace or fix certain items and they certainly need to call me back when they say they will. I know things get busy but make it a habit to call people back when you say you will. Been there, done that...I know how those things work. So yeah...

**The worst experience we have ever had at Spikes Ford.**…read more Unfortunately, our experience with Spikes Ford was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The agent assigned to assist us was extremely rude and appeared to be more interested in upselling additional products and services than actually helping us. I had specifically obtained pricing in advance for the services and items we intended to purchase. However, the agent later increased the prices and told us that the total cost would be higher than what we had originally been quoted. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. Today, my wife had to return to the dealership and spend approximately **two hours** there because the plastic cover underneath the engine had not been properly secured after her oil change. This is a basic part of properly completing an oil change, and it should have been checked before the vehicle was returned to her. We expected much better service and attention to detail from a Ford dealership. Instead, we experienced poor customer service, unexpected price changes, and careless workmanship. **After this experience, we will not be returning to Spikes Ford. I would strongly encourage management to review how customers are being treated and how vehicles are being inspected before being returned to them.** Tuesday, 08/11/2026 @9:00 AM
