Then the real magic happened when he started cutting my hair. He checked in with me for each step, was willing to work with my changes and new ideas as we went along, and was very gentle and considerate. He is a master of his craft and is genuinely passionate about what he does. He strikes a rare balance between using his skill and artistic eye while helping his clients achieve the results they are looking for while being completely honest about whats achievable and taking into account what will flatter them most. I never felt judged or uncomfortable, he complimented me and made me feel so taken care of the whole time. He cut my hair from a grown out bob into the grunge pixie cut of my dreams. I usually feel uncomfortable and judged at salons but not here. Shep is so supportive and kind and so skilled at what he does, I knew I was in the most capable hands. The lobby has a boho/boutique vibe with an assortment of adorable hair accessories, products, jewelry, face masks, and cute wallets and purses. Great if you need to pick up a quick gift after getting your hair "did." After you get called by your stylist, you are then walked to your styling station to discuss what look you would like for the day. This then prompts a transition to the shampoo bowls, which by the way, is my FAVORITE part! The chairs are messaging chairs that turn on when the stylist begins washing your hair. They are amazing and worth every penny to come to Wild Ivy to get your hair styled. After enjoying a relaxing shampoo/conditioner treatment, you make your way back to the stylist chair, and the magic begins. Please sit back, relax, and let the experts do their thang. This is now my fourth or fifth time visiting Wild Ivy, and I have brought my daughter with me twice and a friend, and every time we have seen, we have been delighted with the results, so much so that I have joined there blow dry bar membership. I gave up lashes, folks, to be able to have this membership. It tells you how much I enjoy visiting this business!!! I leave you with one parting thought, if it looks clean, it runs clean.
