I had taken a vehicle of theirs to my mechanic and he found what might be a serious issue. Paul (the dealer) agreed to this and other repairs, and so I indicated I would like to purchase it. I asked if a deposit was needed, he said a preapproval was fine enough. I called once more to check on progress and status and was told everything was moving forward but no timeline yet. I call two days after that and he is literally selling the car to someone at that moment. He lies to me and says he never agreed to the repairs, that he had to ask his boss and his boss said no, and so it goes. Up until this point it had already been a trend of poor communication so maybe I should have known. But to the kid and his mom who bought a 2022 Ford Bronco yesterday, please get your transfer case checked out. That could be a very expensive fix (which I'm guessing Paul probably didn't tell you about.) If you can get a car from literally anywhere else, do it. These guys are slimy. read more

I've bought two cars over the years from Marty's Auto, and both experiences were outstanding. I recently bought a low-mileage 2019 Honda Insight, getting a great-condition daily driver for a value price. Paul is excellent to work with -- no pressure, just a calm, honest, nice guy. Marty's has an interesting selection of all makes and models, lots of AWD vehicles, trucks, hybrids, some fun luxury cars. I drove off the lot with some things that were non-functional, missing, or fell off within 72 hours of leaving. I contacted you immediately to make sure I could get it fixed and repeatedly was told to come back. Twice the service person wasn't there. Third time I sat in the waiting room for over an hour before being told he was too busy. Then my husband called to see if it would be ok to bring it by the next day. Everyone he spoke with from sales to service was rude or dismissive. I don't expect everything in a rebuilt late model car to be perfect, but when I drive off the lot and have a dashlight come on before I even make it home, I expect it to be fixed. Pieces of the car flew off while driving on the highway. There is nowhere to attach a license plate. And the engine is making an odd rattling noise. None of these things have been addressed. read more

I responded to an advertisement for a low mileage standard car. I asked detailed questions about the car as I had to drive 2 hours to get there. After a long drive I went to check out the car and it was NOT a standard as advertised, but an automatic. I wasted half of my day traveling to look at a car that was clearly misrepresented. I never would do business with anyone who would lie about a car just to get me there. Good luck to anyone dealing with these folks. :( read more

I would warn against anyone considering buying a vehicle here. I ended having so many problems with the vehicle and it held no value for trade in or private sale because of the car's history. The sales person, Brian, lied about the car's history; I was told that the car had been in one accident resulting I'm cosmetic damage and side panels being replaced when actually the car had been in 5 accidents and had 9 recall notices. I take responsibility for not doing my own further research and should have questioned their honesty. Save yourself a lot of headaches and purchase your vehicle elsewhere. read more

If I could give this business zero stars I would! My 72 year old mother went here by herself and they saw her coming from a mile away. She put $7000 down on a car, with nobody there with her to look over the paperwork her $7000 down payment magically turned into a little over $4000. The vehicle they sold her is a salvaged vehicle and had issues from the start. Every time she went to get it fixed the only thing they did was reset the computer and tell her to drive it around and see if the light would come back on, it always did. It was 'bring it back next week, next week' again and again until ... guess what, the 30 day warranty ran out. Do yourself a favor and do not deal with this 'dealership'. They rip off elderly people and sell garbage vehicles! read more

Be cautious when dealing with Brian, their Sale's "Manager". He seems real shady and not willing to stand behind any "warranty" work. (the 30 days Marty brags about when they sell you a vehicle) There is a very good reason why you have to go through their Sales Manager for buying AND repairing the vehicle you buy. He has the best excuses for not returning phone calls/emails and even better excuses for what they will not repair for you. Real shoddy repair work! When you drop your vehicle off for an entire day, (because that day works best for Marty's) and you go to pick up the vehicle at 5:00pm, only to discover the owner of Marty's was out for an hour long joy ride with your vehicle, so you have to wait over an hour, after they had the vehicle all day. The owner finally comes back with your vehicle, empty tank, AND no repairs done. Buyer beware of this place! read more

Be very cautious of purchasing a car through Marty's. I had purchased a vehicle from them years ago and had very good luck with it. However, my last purchase from them turned out to be a nightmare. After much repair through both Marty's and at my own considerable expense, I am left with a vehicle that I cannot rely upon at all and continues to need repair. When I wanted to trade it, their very untruthful sales manager, Brian (who continued to insist that the numerous things wrong were all "regular maintainance" and lied about when the repairs would be finished, etc.) would only give me $2,500 in trade for a vehicle I had paid $7,500 for less than a year prior. I have had three mechanics tell me that not only was the car in "dangerous" condition when I bought it, but never should have sold at all and should, if sold, have been sold for parts. Be wary and if you do consider a car from them, please take it to a good mechanic BEFORE you buy it. read more
