Went in for a standard beard trim. Told her I had worked on it personally but would like a professional cut. She cut my beard in about 90 seconds. She blended my beard, completely missed the bottom (almost 1 inch longer than the rest of the fade.) She then trimmed my mustache, nicked the corner where I am missing hair now. Then held my head back, told me "I am doing this, you don't have a choice" then shaved both eyebrows completely uneven. Do yourself a favor, have a child cut your hair instead. It'll save the 8 dollars and they might spend more than 2 minutes on your appearance. I went there to get a simple cut with a fade, that did not happen. The girl that attended me, either did not know what a haircut with a fade is or she was in such a hurry to get me out and did a terrible job. I wish I could go back and get a touch up, however, this haircut was so poorly done that the only way to fix it, is by shaving! Right down to the finishing touch: a hot relaxing, shaving-cream real straight-razor trim on your neck and sideburns. Now the atmosphere hasn't changed much since your granddad got a shave and a haircut from the proprietor, Greg Martin's dad opened the shop in the 1950s. I've been coming to see the boys at Martins for 10 years and really like the simple atmosphere where all are welcome with a smile. I only wish I could convince them to give me a full straight-razor shave, but alas, state regulations have all but chased that away. But some things never change though, if you're a little shaver you'll still get a piece of bubble gum if you sit still and behave yourself. No appointments. First come, first serve. There are usually 5 barbers working after 9:00 a.m. Hours: Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m, Saturday 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. These are good guys, don't come in 10 minutes before they close. read more

Each and every time I get a standard short haircut and they do a good job. They are mostly consistent but each barber is different. I find the barber who knows me best and have them cut my hair. I like the additional services provided such as shave and eyebrow trimming. They can be busy at times but I visit in the mornings and later evenings when the lines are shorter. The price of a haircut is very reasonably priced. They accept credit cards for payment for a small fee. They open early at 6am and close around 6pm. Closed early on days before holidays. read more

I got a terrible haircut from the old lady in back. I thought it would be interesting, but she hacked my hair. At least it was fixable enough to get it redone at another barber shop a half hour later. I would not recommend this place. Do not go. Other barbers in the shop may be OK, but why would they hire someone who is so bad. At Great Clips on Mason-Montgomery Rd. where my haircut was fixed, they couldn't believe how bad it was.
