Brought an evening dress in, nothing fancy, but I just needed cleaned and smelling good for the event. Also had a guys jacket, again nothing fancy just needed a clean. Was turned away bc "these" types of material CANNOT be cleaned. WHAT??? Took it to IN THE BAG cleaners on central, got my dress and jacket back the next day and it was like new again. Smells cleaned and pressed nicely. Bad service. read more

When we first started going to this place I totally would have given it 5 stars. However, after them ruining a $400 garment and then calling me to deny any responsibility, insisting any damage was my doing, and then to refusing to pay to fix the problem- that makes for an entirely different review. The son who works in the evening is great- the owner has never heard the words 'customer service.' Won't be giving them my business again. read more

This is one of the best dry cleaners I have found. They have friendly staff, quick turn-around on my dry cleaning, and do a great job too. If you need a dry cleaners this is the one you should go to. BTW- they do have pick-up and delivery services. Haven't used that service yet. read more

The Andover store is the worst! I took in a large order , 21 suits, I only got 16 back. Their response, "you must have miscounted ". No apology, just denial of any blame or even responsibility! I will never use them again. If you take anything there, be sure you can describe every piece ...and even then, good luck. read more

Absolutely the worst dry cleaner ever! We flew in to Wichita from out of town and took my husband's clothes in on a Friday morning, so he could wear them to a function on Saturday night. We were told they would not be ready until Monday. We agreed, and he wore a different outfit. On Monday, we went to pick up the order, and they had lost all of his clothes. They had us look through about 45 tickets to see if we could find his clothes listed, as they had gotten included with someone else's order. We couldn't find them on any tickets, so we were told to come back later. We returned, and my husband spotted his clothes, but when he looked at a brand new pair of pants that had never been worn, he noticed that there was a white line across the entire pant leg. It appeared someone had pressed the pants, and while they were still hot, placed them over the sticky surface of the hanger. When he pointed this out, he was told, "Oh, don't worry, we'll clean them again and they'll be ready Wednesday." He explained that we were leaving town for Dallas on Tuesday morning. The clerk called the owner, Nancy Staal, and explained the situation. Mrs. Staal said the clerk should deduct $5.00 from our bill. They had RUINED a brand new pair of trousers! I asked to speak to Mrs. Staal. She asked me several rhetorical questions, repeated herself, and when I said, "I don't think you are putting yourself in the shoes of two weary travelers who have had to come to your store three times trying to pick up dry cleaning." To that she started yelling, saying "I got up at 4:30 this morning!" followed by a barrage of her problems, e.g. the clerk who had waited on us on Friday was on her way out, etc., etc. When I held firm that $5.00 was not enough of a discount, she said, "You can have the whole order for free." and hung up on me. The clerk called her back to find out how to void the tickets, and Mrs. Staal asked if we were still there. When the clerk said yes, Mrs. Staal hung up on her own employee! Just avoid this place like the plague. They did not get the collars cleaned on laundered shirts, and the dry cleaning was sub-par. I have NEVER been treated so rudely by the OWNER of a business. read more

Martinizing's solvents are better for the environment, lack the harsh chemical smell, and turnaround is fast. On the other hand, any form of request outside the norm is a complete nightmare. I had to have an item redone 4 times this winter before it was finally pressed correctly - and had to pay for it each time. Staff didn't seem to care about the multiple returns or my increased frustration and just kept giving me lame excuses about why someone forgot the instructions. Finally, I was assured that these directions were in my profile, so I took another order in. Same thing: instructions ignored, another trip to re-do the item. At least the staff member present this time took responsibility for the mistake, expressed concern and assured me it would be redone for free. I've wasted enough time, money and gas (I live 1/2 hour outside Wichita) and I'm done with Martinizing. I'm not fond of PERC, but I'll be going back to a traditional cleaner in my hometown and will just hang my items outside to air before bringing them in. If you're after standard, run-of-the-mill cleaning, they do a good job but are pricier than many. If you have any form of request, save your sanity and time and go somewhere else. read more
