Wonderful staff. Award winning Martinis. Amazing ambiance. You will not be disappointed.

This place is absolutely amazing. It feels so swanky inside, which is something you usually very rarely see in the suburbs! It very much feels like a lounge. This is something you'd see in the city. I just loved everything about this place. The pictures on Yelp and Google definitely don't do this place justice. The unique decor and colored lighting, candle lighting on the tables, and music (very deep house lounge like) just make it the exact place I've been looking for here (swanky cool lounge feeling, like I mentioned). Usually the suburbs are full of dive bars and pubs and this is definitely what our area needs! Our server was really friendly and the menu is AMAZING! There are so many delicious-sounding options that you won't know where to start. I had a cheesecake martini and it tasted exactly like one of those strawberry shortcake ice cream bars, so I highly recommend that if you love sugary drinks. My friend had a mermaid martini and that was absolutely delicious as well. Very tropical. There are so many unique drinks that sound so good that it just makes you want to go back to try another one on the menu. I am definitely going to have to go back on a day that offers martini flights. I will most definitely be back very soon! :) read more

I have a monthly girls night out,and this month I was able to choose Martini Room! We were so excited; I talked it up for weeks - only for a HUGE let down! There are 6 of us and we showed up at 7pm on Wednesday 10/25 for flights. We sat there for 50 minutes with NO drinks. We kept getting apologizes and the bartender offered up free shots, but they never came. She kept saying we were next but then she kept walking past us with other tables drinks....ended up walking out with everyone saying thanks and good bye....?? We were so confused! We didn't get served! Is this what happens?? read more

For starters this place is gorgeous and the atmosphere is great. I was here a couple of weeks and thought wow it has changed! Not for the good it seems as though the staff belongs in some sort of grungy type bar. They were not well groomed and a little on the portly side. I once pictured this a place to go when you wanted to feel a step up from the rest of the bars , Class and style now I have noticed it just blends in well. Cheers to another bar. read more

Delicious cocktails. I love their drink specials. Great place to enjoy cocktails and meet with friends. I enjoy the variety of drinks. The creativity of the martini flights. They have great flavored vodkas made inhouse. read more

Sweet heart bartender. Tanya - she farted whiled my friend was break dancing and was a good sport about claiming it. Great experience!

Have visited several times for celebrations or events that deserve a splash of a Martini. Decor is unique and comfortable with a laid back yet vibrant feel. The menu is substantial for most discerning taste however if it's not on the menu don't expect the staff to be able to assist you. I requested a French Apple Martini several visits ago and staff were unable to assist me so again stick to the menu. read more

Great experience. Met the owner and was very pleased. Mango is by far the favorite and very nice environment. We will definitely be back again! read more

Overpriced as hell but the drinks are decent; the martini with the blue cheese stuffed olives, I forget the name, is really good and the Elgin something or other, has a binch of basil, is fantastic. read more

Friday night shenanigans with the girls. Came in around 9:30pm. I have previously been here on other occasions, but it has been a long time. The place is not huge but I love the lofty feel of it as well as the couches that are set up all around. If you are into art, this is a great place to check out some of the local art as they display and use it as their decor. Martinis are delicious but a little on the pricey side. I had a Strawberry Lemon Drop martini, followed by two Cinnamon Roll martinis. Service was on par and I like the fact that they bring you a bottle of water with the drinks, huge plus for me. I will be returning to try some of their other Martinis soon. read more

Nice atmosphere. Great tasting drinks. Lots of different special events. Check it out!

Martini room is a major hidden gem in Elgin. They specialize in an exciting and relaxing atmosphere, amazing martinis, and great service. Walking into the door you feel like you are in one of your closest friends new house. The abstract artwork, comfortable furniture, and dim lighting was extremely inviting. I really felt like I could chill there all day and not worry about anything. The martini selection is completely next level. At the time we went they were running a $6 martini special. I had two different types, the jolly rancher and the ruby red. Both of them were extremely dangerous with how good they tasted. The jolly rancher was fruitful and had a nice bite from the alcohol. The ruby red was extremely balanced and refreshing every sip. My friends ordered some other martinis, one of which including the old fashioned and he really enjoyed it. The service was next level too, I felt like my palate was being catered to. It was awesome because I told our server my tastes and she brought a drink she thought I'd like. You can tell the team there takes pride in the work they do. Extremely friendly and inviting staff. I will definitely be back and continue to recommend to anyone looking for a new, unique, and delicious experience. read more

Great cocktails and very pleasant/prompt waitstaff. Atmosphere is very relaxing and clean. We had the Razz Lemonade Martini and an Irish Mule, both delicious. Would recommend/return. read more

Yum! A great martini menu, excellent seasonal specials. Order the Smoking Gun for interesting flavors and fire, any of their xmas martinis for your sweet tooth, or Silky Temptations for a more traditional style. read more

Special thanks to Martini Room staff for treating a regular well even when you folks were overwhelmed and over capacity. Staff always does a great hob with the hustle! read more

Had a blast with my friends. The place didn't have a lot of people there, which made it more fun for us. Martinis were great and we danced all night. Parking is right across the street so very easy to get there. They have specials and Martini flights so you can try out many different types. read more

This place has the BEST Martinis. Their watermelon martinis taste like real watermelon, not like bubblegum watermelon. I recommend the Dreamsicle martini, you will drink it in 3 seconds and will be drunk by the end of the night. read more

Not a bad place. Interior is very Speakeasy which I like a lot. Good music level good atmosphere. Cocktail list is huge kinda shows that they want to hit everything. This is where they lost a star. Make the menu smaller, sexier if you must instead of this very large book and work on the execution of the drinks. The execution is sub par even made with good spirits. Had a sazerac and they did this very long drawn out thing where the poured the absinthe over the cube and lit it on fire. Well I'm all for more booze but in this drink it should just be a wash of the glass with absinthe followed by muddling the sugar cube with the bitters and stirring the rye with the sugar and bitters and then straining into a rocks glass served up not on the rocks. Like I said sub par execution with good ingredients. read more

Doorman w/ the suit says NO 5k ok owner choose wisely .Never again. Over priced an crappy service

Was really excited to go to $15 dollar Martini night, was going to be the first time going, checked out the website where the specials are and everywhere else on the website, says no where a time limit. Also had the sign out front for the $15 martinis, showed up 10 minutes after 10 pm. As soon as we asked for the martinis, was told it ends at 10 pm. Understanding if there is really a time limit, but do not understand why there is advertisement for the time. Was very disappointed :( read more

I used to frequent all the time, but after 2 terrible experiences with their ID checker and their laziness and inability to know what a passport is. I don't drive and its official enough to get me into other countries, but hes too dumb to read. Hed rather insult me and give me a hard time rather than doing his job. After a few seconds of argument he still let me in tonight but he pissed me off bad enough that I left without buying 1 drink & will not be going back. read more

Martini's are great here and prices are reasonable. But staff is the issue. I have been here before on a Friday but i decided to show up on a tuesday and the salsa teacher's wife (not even the owner of the club) was telling a girl outside that she wasnt going to let her in. the girl asked for a reason and the wife said that it was because she just didnt like her and that she had no reason in particular... I thought this was very unprofessional. Business is business. Personal issues should be placed aside. After seeing that customer being treated like that it makes me feel like there is no professionalism in the people that work there. I doubt i would ever go again read more

The service is quick especially considering the craft/time going into these specialty cocktails. To be fair, I didn't try any of the Martinis, but 3/5 of our party did and they liked their drinks very much. But, let's be honest, drinks are usually either good or just done wrong. I don't put a lot of weight on the drink quality as long as they are properly made. Why I DO like the Martini Room is the ambiance. I have been here 3 times now. As a party of 2, 3, and 5. In my experience this is a GREAT place to bring a small group of people. Many groups of women out on apparent "ladies night out" who all seemed to be having a blast. My wife, another couple, a friend, and myself went and it was very fun and comfortable sitting on the sectional couch around a glass coffee table enjoying cocktails, people watching, looking at the local art on the wall for sale (that changes frequently), and holding conversations. Come earlier to secure one of these seating areas when you have a group. The music was typical for a cocktail bar electro-swing/dance/hip-hop and whatever else the DJ seemed to deem necessary to make the mood right. This part of Elgin, IL has a wide variety of bars from punk(ish) scenes to dance clubs, decent dives, and nicer places such as the Martini Room. A great destination if you want to have a wide variety to your night. Tip: We always eat at the Elgin Public House beforehand (everything is good, burgers are out of this world). read more

It was a really fun time with the bartenders Veronica and Scott, who were two of the most personable and down-to-earth bartenders I've ever met, and if you've got a sense of of humor, they make you feel like one of the family. Veronica made me a white cosmopolitan which tasted absolutely divine, be sure to stop by on a Monday so you can try out each martini for only $6, a real steal. The candlelit decor is very cozy and inviting, and the personality of the bartenders was like being on cheers. I'll be coming back for sure! read more

It's my favorite drinking place. The owners are great folks and the serving staff is always friendly and helpful. There are daily special martinis for about $6. Huge menu of martinis for $8-10. And of course they have all the other liquor too. Additionally, they have spcial nights where liquor companies come in to showcase their booze and there are free samples. I had my birthday party there a couple months ago and all my fiends loved it! read more

My friends and I had a really fun time here last night. This place was fun and lively and the drinks tasted amazing. The prices was really reasonable for drinks and shots. Prices for drinks ranges from $8-$11 or more depending on what you order. The only complaint I have is that it took a while for us to get the drinks we ordered (I realize it was a Saturday night but maybe they should put in another bartender to help keep things speedy). Other than that My friends and I danced our asses off and had a really great time. We've already decided we will be back again in the near future. read more

Too many better places in Elgin to go. High prices . Bad service! Owner seems to have lack if interest in customers ! Go another place.

I love the concept of this place and how relaxing it is. A couple negatives I have to say about this place is that when my boyfriend and I found a empty couch and sat down, no one came up to us for over 5 minutes. We then moved to a different couch to where the servers could see us and still nothing until I had to go find a server to come to our couch. Second thing is that the martinis are NOT strong at all. I had to ask twice to make sure there was alcohol in my drinks. Usually martinis are pretty strong. Not sure if I'll come back because of those two reasons. read more

Last week my husband and I wanted some drinks and decided to go here cause we've enjoyed it before. The service was awful! The bartenders were dancing on the dance floor and we NEVER had anyone come to out couch to ask if we wanted more drinks even thought our drinks we got at the bar before we sat down were empty. I get that the ladies can have a good time while they work but it was extremely rude that they forgot they were working cause they never came to us. The place wasn't even full, there must of been like 30 people there. We were so disappointed cause we just wanted to go out for a couple of drinks. read more

Great music, nice vibe, fantastic mojitos and martinis love the set up inside with the lounges and the owner is fabulous

I was born and raised in Elgin and still currently live here. I've been going to Martini since it opened loved it in the beginning. They used to have awesome bartenders and servers and customer was awesome. It is definitely not the same as it was I know businesses have ups and downs. When friends come to town it isn't our choice anymore. We either do EPH or the Walnut. Which I've only been to the Walnut three times. Customers said there past experience was not good either. That it was dirty and bartenders seemed like they didn't want to be there or work. Feel horrible once was a good place. And I'm all about eat and buy local read more

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago and though it's not what I'm used to and I wasn't sure what to expect I really enjoyed it. The place is on the smaller side but has a very intimate feel, and I love that instead of hard and cold typical 'bar tables' you have couches to lounge on and relax. Our bartender/waitress was very nice and she waited on our group patiently and was quick with service. All of the martinis I tried were great and they were all on special for 1/2 price that day so it was an added bonus. read more

They have some amazing and creative drinks. The staff is always friendly. Seating is usually plentiful as long as there isn't a large party.

Very relaxing atmosphere.I would visit again. My son in law and I spent a couple hours talking with the owrner Urszula who is very pleasant and we had a great time. read more

If you want to go out and do something a little different, this is the place to go. Best to go with a close friend. Atmosphere is very cozy and the service was great. We tried several of the different martinis. The girls seems to like the cotton candy martini. I did not go on a Monday, but I heard they have specials on Monday nights. read more
