I am in the market for 2 new bathroom vanities that require custom measurement and decided to give them and their cabinet maker Abel a try. From the time I received the first estimate from them, the price and what that price covered repeatedly changed upwards. After going into the store (were the estimates changed again), I picked out the type of cabinet I wanted, in the color stain I wanted it in, along with my countertop options. I told both Abel when he came out to take measurements and Flor when I made my final selection and paid an advance payment of $1500 that I didn't want painted cabinets and only wanted real wood with a stained finish. Today, almost 2 weeks after placing my cabinet and countertop order, I get a call stating the price quoted only included painted cabinets and they have to be that white or grey. Long story shorter, I immediately left work to go get my full refund. I live less than 2 miles from well established, reputable, wholesale mill works and stone yards in the Southbay area and will be taking full advantage of the higher quality countertop and cabinetry options, for lower prices, from local businesses around the corner from me in Gardena. FYI: They got the 3rd star from me because I never would have found out about the mills and stone yards in my area if they weren't trying to price gouge me on my cabinetry.

I initially engaged Alex for 2 of the washrooms but having experienced how professionally and transparently he handled the initial scope of the project, we engaged him for my 3rd washroom as well as front entrance tile work. The whole project took a little over 2 months but I really appreciated how Alex walked me through each of the phases and kept us involved in decision making while providing his expert advice all the way. Alex also did so many tasks for me that were not part of initial scope which saved us having to find someone else (he even picked tiles and shower door for me on couple of occasions). I was looking to get some glass tile repaired in my Master Bathroom. It was a small job. I sent out…read morea request on Yelp and got quite a few replies. Unfortunately, of all the responses, only two were interested - mainly because of the tile being glass. One company came out and looked at the prospective work and DTLA wanted some pictures and specifics via text and or email. Both company's bids were the same. I sent messages to both to discuss the job further. DTLA responded, and the other one - blew me off! So I spoke with Bill at DTLA Tile. He explained a lot of information about the glass tile, and the possible reasons for the cracking. We worked out the details and set the dates for the repairs - which were planned for one and a half days. On the first day, I overheard the tile technician (Alesandro?) talking to Bill on the speaker phone speaking Spanish. (I speak a little - enough to get by when necessary) He was discussing the difficulty of the work, and Bill replied that there was a "contracto" and they had to honor it. Alesandro worked all day chipping away at the glass tiles removing them. It's a very slow process with glass and makes quite a mess. He was always wearing proper protective gear to prevent injury. Had to make a Home Depot Trip for supplies. He got all of the tiles removed on the first day and on the second day began cutting tiles - when he discovered that he was going to need the wet saw to make the proper cuts on these tiles. He left and came back shortly with a saw and proceeded to cut and install more tiles. At the end of the second FULL day of work - the tiles were installed and he would be back the next day for grouting. We found a couple of MINOR issues that we wanted to have modified. One - meant removing and replacing a tile. But they gladly did that and even made another Home Depot Trip to get some Grout/Caulk to finish up the job. Alesandro left in the early afternoon of the third day. The job had taken almost twice as long due to the complexity of the glass tile. But the price was the same as agreed upon in the "contract." Bill contacted me a day or two later wanting to stop by to pick up payment due, and to inspect the final job. He came in and took pictures of the work and we had a nice conversation about the project and he was complimentary of some of the work that had been done in our house. I had some questions about some other things and he gave me a couple of referrals. This is a GREAT Company to deal with. They EXCEEDED my expectationsI highly recommend DTLA Tile and Stone. I have wanted…read moreto renovate my 1950s kitchen for 19 years, and Red Sea Tile & Stone truly brought my vision to life. I hired them to replace my countertop, sink, faucet, backsplash and floor tile, replace my bathroom mirror (the old one was glued to the wall) and paint my kitchen ceiling. As a first-time renovator, I didn't necessarily do things in the right order (I had another company replace my cabinet doors and paint my cabinet boxes prior to the tile work) or even know what decisions needed to be made. Gio and Julio were patient and kind and helped me through it. The crew went above and beyond, making the tile work even more beautiful than I had envisioned. There was a little damage to the cabinet boxes - which I was warned about - from removing the old countertop, but the touchups made them practically invisible, above my expectations. The end result speaks for itself! And when there was a hiccup - a Fed Ex truck crashed into the truck carrying my countertop slab - they rushed to get a replacement to get back on track within a week. Very customer oriented. Next time I would have them do my cabinets, too. I think I have hugged my countertop at least a dozen times and can't stop staring at the backsplash tile - the detail in the window box is amazing.
