Extremely happy with my new bathroom. DTLA Tile and Stone are fabulous to work with. William was communicative and managed all aspects of project, coordinating plumbing, tiles, painting. He is knowledgeable and offered suggestions to enhance the design. Giovani created a tile layout exactly as i had hoped. Every detail was beautifully executed. Once the project began, from demolition to remodel to completion, DTLA are total professionals; doing the work, and keeping the area clean/livable each night. DTLA created a beautiful new bathroom. I definitely would recommend their services. Thank you! read more

I was looking to get some glass tile repaired in my Master Bathroom. It was a small job. I sent out a request on Yelp and got quite a few replies. Unfortunately, of all the responses, only two were interested - mainly because of the tile being glass. One company came out and looked at the prospective work and DTLA wanted some pictures and specifics via text and or email. Both company's bids were the same. I sent messages to both to discuss the job further. DTLA responded, and the other one - blew me off! So I spoke with Bill at DTLA Tile. He explained a lot of information about the glass tile, and the possible reasons for the cracking. We worked out the details and set the dates for the repairs - which were planned for one and a half days. On the first day, I overheard the tile technician (Alesandro?) talking to Bill on the speaker phone speaking Spanish. (I speak a little - enough to get by when necessary) He was discussing the difficulty of the work, and Bill replied that there was a "contracto" and they had to honor it. Alesandro worked all day chipping away at the glass tiles removing them. It's a very slow process with glass and makes quite a mess. He was always wearing proper protective gear to prevent injury. Had to make a Home Depot Trip for supplies. He got all of the tiles removed on the first day and on the second day began cutting tiles - when he discovered that he was going to need the wet saw to make the proper cuts on these tiles. He left and came back shortly with a saw and proceeded to cut and install more tiles. At the end of the second FULL day of work - the tiles were installed and he would be back the next day for grouting. We found a couple of MINOR issues that we wanted to have modified. One - meant removing and replacing a tile. But they gladly did that and even made another Home Depot Trip to get some Grout/Caulk to finish up the job. Alesandro left in the early afternoon of the third day. The job had taken almost twice as long due to the complexity of the glass tile. But the price was the same as agreed upon in the "contract." Bill contacted me a day or two later wanting to stop by to pick up payment due, and to inspect the final job. He came in and took pictures of the work and we had a nice conversation about the project and he was complimentary of some of the work that had been done in our house. I had some questions about some other things and he gave me a couple of referrals. This is a GREAT Company to deal with. They EXCEEDED my expectationsI highly recommend DTLA Tile and Stone. If anyone would like references - feel free to message me here on YELP read more

Our bathroom tile was breaking, due to poor workmanship and other reasons. DTLA pointed out why this was happening and with great precision and care removed the broken tiles and replaced them. Alejandro grouted and chalked the shower and it looks as good as new. Great work, great work ethic, and very honest. read more

Bill immediately responded to my request for a quote for subway tile on my kitchen remodel. Because Bill's company address is in LA, I was hesitant to give him a call because I didn't think he'd agree to a job in Orange. It worked out perfectly because his expert tile setter, Giovanni, lives in Orange County. Giovanni did a beautiful job installing the subway tile - he was so precise and exact - I couldn't be happier with Bill's customer service and responsiveness and Giovanni's craftsmanship. I'm looking forward to having Bill and Giovanni replace my tile floors in the near future. I would highly recommend them for their expertise and customer service. read more

We needed cracked tiles in our bathroom replaced and found DTLA online. They were very responsive and competitive. We were really pleased with the quality of their work. We had extra tiles and they meticulously removed the cracked ones and replaced them matching the grout extremely well. Additionally, they repaired the grout in our kitchen which also looks fantastic. Their workmanship was top-notch, they were super clean and careful, and showed up on time. Highly recommend them and will use them again for future tile work. read more

I had a very small tile job that was probably not really worth their time: repairing/replacing a very-shoddily-installed tile border around a tile mosaic at my kid's school. I can state authoritatively that the original border was shoddily-installed, because I'm the one who installed it, and I had no idea what I was doing. DTLA was responsive to my initial bid request and-- while it was a *little* difficult to get a service date solidified with them-- DTLA ended up doing a very professional job, and the results are outstanding. Very reasonable price, too, for such high-quality work. Thank you, DTLA Tile! read more

Bill and his team at DTLA Tile & Stone delivered in every way possible. We are starting our first brick and mortar bakeshop and needed to find someone who could replace the countertop to our storefront island. I prefer to work with other small business in hopes of getting that level of service, professionalism, and quality of work that is lacking in large chain suppliers . Bill and his team leader, Javier, were attentive, easy to work with, friendly, and reliable. They were exactly what I was looking for. Their prices were competitive to top it all. I highly recommend DTLA no matter how big a job. I plan to reach out to them again for all future countertop and tile work. Don't hesitate to call DTLA Tile. Thanks, Bill! read more

We worked with DTLA Tile and Stone to renovate a couple of bathrooms in our home and it was nothing short of a great experience. Bill was an excellent communicator who explained every detail of the process and offered expert guidance and tips along the way, which was extremely valuable to us. Geo and Arlex did an amazing job with everything from tearing down and replacing our old wood frames, to drywalling, painting, and plumbing. Most importantly , they did a stunning, immaculate job with the tiling for the bath, shower, and floors. The entire crew was friendly, professional, and patient with our many questions and considerations. My family and I couldn't be happier with the results of our renovation, and with the wonderful experience of working with this team. I'd highly recommend working with DTLA Tile and Stone for your next remodeling project! read more

Didn't use this company but I thought it would be good to advise people to stay away from them. They quoted me $9.00 per sq foot to epoxy my garage with water based epoxy. Any good epoxy company would use solid epoxy over water based and second that's way too much for a epoxy on any floor. In response to the company's reply below... other companies are charging no more than 3.50 a sq foot to grind and add 100% solid epoxy no water based stuff that will eventually fade off. read more

From the beginning Bill (William) was very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. I had a commercial bathroom and shower that needed tiling, he gave me a fair price and stuck with it even when we had to redo some items on the invoice. That is also what I REALLY appreciated about Bill compared to many other contractors, he was honest and willing to take fault for any errors on his end and fix it! His communication and ability to provide great work in a timely manor however, is what would make me hire him again. read more

Highly recommend Bill and DTLA Tile! They did an excellent job on our condo building's third floor walkway. You could tell the difference, and I just wished we had used DTLA tile in the past. The price was very fair, especially considering the quality of work provided. I reached out to DTLA for the installation of safety grab bars in our 90 year old mother's shower after her hospital discharge. I was very grateful that he took on this small job and lived up to his job quote and date. Additionally, his technician arrived on time, cleaned up the entire work area, and completed the difficult task of drilling into porcelain tile without cracking or damaging any of the adjacent tile where a prior contractor had failed to complete the job. I appreciate DTLA's patience, understanding, expertise, pride in workmanship, and the care that they took in completing the job. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience, and we will keep their number handy for future work on a much larger project. I strongly recommend DTLA and staff. Me and my wife just moved in to our first home, being completely honest and open we are a young couple and don't know much about tile and home construction. We had done our research and talked to various contractors about a bathroom renovation that we wanted to get done right away once we moved in. However, nobody was as patient and honest with us as Bill was. He gave us his price and timeline and walked us through each step before giving him the job. We hired him and to our surprise he completed the job quicker than anticipated. Left our bathroom clean, beautiful, and amazing. A great experience all the way through.
