On the topic of x-rays, the first set didn't save on my first visit and I had to do them twice, and most recently they weren't able to be taken. When I walked in and met with Dr. Sams, I immediately knew I could trust him. He asked me about my problems and then when we got into the exam, he could tell exactly what I meant when I was telling him about my symptoms. He validated everything that I was worried about and explained everything to me and was very patient. He even handed me a mirror and showed me the things that he was pointing to in my mouth. He told me he could do three different percedures, and I chose to have the tooth removed. He drew a tooth on paper and showed me what he would do for a root canal for so much money, and they he said he could remove the tooth for $377, but this included the exam and X-ray. It showed I had an infection into my jaw from my tooth. When he was done, he showed me the tooth so I could see it came out in one piece. Gave me pain meds and antibiotics. Great care.

I had X-rays done, my next appointment scheduled, cleaning, flossing, polishing, and fluoride done. A dentist also came in after the hygienist and checked my teeth. All of this was done in about 40 minutes. They usually give you a small goody bag with a toothbrush, a small thing of floss, and a travel toothpaste tube but they didn't this time for me which isn't a big deal. My fluoride treatment was $20 and I paid with my FSA card.

A food pocket is that black hole or depression between your teeth and gums that grabs on to stubborn food like chewy beef and green leafy vegetables; for the most part they could only be removed by careful use of floss and or someone with good toothpick skills. Grace was able to complete filling in the pocket area and that annoying issue I have had most of my life is now GONE! Tip: Skip the parking lot and do street parking if available, it is cheaper and allow 1.5 to max 2 hours depending on your service.
